Carla is a Star Host
Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
This property is 12.62 acres of organic farm, gardens and forest. It backs up to BLM (public) land so there is ample room for roaming. There is also a winery on the property producing all organic and wildharvested fruit, berry and flower wines. You are welcome to visit the tasting room when we are open, and we are called Wild Wines if you want to look us up. The pond and river are wonderful spots in the summer. We have a sauna as well, but we typically only use it in the winter when having a fire is safe. Inquire for availability and fee. There are a few people living here in separate structures, and everyone is friendly!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway perched above the Little Applegate River on 12.6 acres of shared farm/winery property. Enjoy a wine tasting just 750 ft from your doorstep! Curl up on the couch with a book, your loved one, and a cozy fire. Lots of covered deck space to maximize your outdoor time in this lovely spot! Luxurious, extra-long, outdoor clawfoot tub/shower. Clean composting toilet just outside the cabin. Brand new "light-straw-clay" construction is eco-friendly and a highly insulative construction technique. The interior has a lovely sage green earthen plaster, wood floors, a woodstove, and a complete kitchen. You will need to be comfortable using the nearby composting toilet, as there is no indoor toilet. The 6ft long clawfoot tub is placed on the deck so you can relax in a hot bath while listening to the sounds of the river and the birds. Privacy is not compromised, so do not worry! The wood-fired sauna is an excellent way to unwind and detox while staying here. Please inquire for details and to schedule with the host who will prepare the sauna for you. The fee for a sauna is $30 to cover the cost of wood, preparing the fire, and cleaning. Well-behaved pets are welcome upon approval. Please be respectful of garden beds, plants, residents and other pets on the property. Cleaning up after your pet is expected. Choose "pet fee" ($20) on the Extras menu.

Carla’s campsite offers a blend of natural beauty and thoughtful amenities, with many guests appreciating the soothing presence of the nearby river and the unique experience of outdoor amenities like a wood-burning sauna and an outdoor shower. While most visitors find the setting peaceful and rejuvenating, some have noted that privacy can be an issue due to its location near a residence and neighboring noises. For those seeking a family-friendly environment, the site features fun elements like a trampoline and a zip line, and Carla's warm hospitality is frequently praised. Overall, this site is a retreat for those seeking both relaxation and a touch of rustic adventure.

Sanctuary is Definitely Accurate
I came for a sacred retreat with a dear brother on my path and this land was absolutely perfect for a quiet, transformative, and nourishing weekend. All matters were tended to by Carla with kindness and generosity, and respect was given towards our solitude and spiritual tending. Very grateful for the beautiful land and the colors in fall were magnificent. All the elements were there, and we left filled up and deeply inspired.

Easy access to the river and close to Cantrall Buckley Park, which was so beautiful and almost no one else around.

Sanctuary on the river!
Unfortunately, this spot didn't feel very private or peaceful as the camping area was in the back yard of the house. The river was nice but there was little to explore and the sounds from the neighbors wasn't very peaceful. We were required to book two nights which was unfortunate since we left after one.

Peaceful retreat
My partner and I loved our stay on Carla’s beautiful land! It’s easy to get a sense of how special the land there is. The stream was fantastic and my partner spent a lot of her time in that tub. We appreciated being able to cook our meals on site. We were there while wildfires were going on and Carla was great about communicating with us around everything.

Great place to unwind!
Such a lovely location in the Little Applegate Valley. Carla’s property is very peaceful and we loved having the river soothe us to sleep. There were many hikes and mountain biking trails within 20 minutes of her property which we appreciated. Carla’s fruit wines were unique and yummy!
