I came for a sacred retreat with a dear brother on my path and this land was absolutely perfect for a quiet, transformative, and nourishing weekend.
All matters were tended to by Carla with kindness and generosity, and respect was given towards our solitude and spiritual tending.
Very grateful for the beautiful land and the colors in fall were magnificent. All the elements were there, and we left filled up and deeply inspired.

Easy access to the river and close to Cantrall Buckley Park, which was so beautiful and almost no one else around.

Unfortunately, this spot didn't feel very private or peaceful as the camping area was in the back yard of the house. The river was nice but there was little to explore and the sounds from the neighbors wasn't very peaceful. We were required to book two nights which was unfortunate since we left after one.

What a beautiful place to camp! The creek was so clamming. Made my sleep peaceful. Carla is a wonderful host! This place is magical, if you do stay here then you are missing out.

My partner and I loved our stay on Carla’s beautiful land! It’s easy to get a sense of how special the land there is. The stream was fantastic and my partner spent a lot of her time in that tub. We appreciated being able to cook our meals on site. We were there while wildfires were going on and Carla was great about communicating with us around everything.

Such a lovely location in the Little Applegate Valley. Carla’s property is very peaceful and we loved having the river soothe us to sleep. There were many hikes and mountain biking trails within 20 minutes of her property which we appreciated. Carla’s fruit wines were unique and yummy!

Sanctuary on the river!
What a hidden gem! Carla is a wonderful host that is extremely knowledgeable about eco living and local accommodations. But With your choice of camp spots on a beautiful homestead with unique and delicious wines makes this place the perfect stay that you never want to leave. As if it could get any better, there is a wood burning sauna. Mix that with cold plunges in the river right down the hill and you have a perfect weekend in our books. This is just one of those places you keep coming back to because you will never find any place like it.

I loved tent camping here!! It was very beautiful and peaceful and those that were around were very welcoming and friendly. Carla was very nice and came and introduced herself when we arrived. Overall a lovely stay in a beautiful location!

A beautiful and relaxing space! I reserved this gem specifically for the outdoor bath tub and was not disappointed. The cabin is cozy and comfortable, surrounded by nature and a great view. This will be an annual trip and I can’t wait to return.

We loved our stay here! It was private and we enjoyed taking baths on the deck while listening to the creek rush by (there is also a little trail that leads to the creek). The cabin was very cute and comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again.

We loved camping on Carla's land! We got a nice spot right above the creek, it was a nice way to fall asleep each night. Carla made checking in very easy and she was a thoughtful and friendly host. Our toddlers loved the big round swing and the huge trampoline too. Family friendly and quiet spot. Great place for exploring the Applegate Valley!

This was the perfect space for us. I appreciated that it had power so I could sleep with my CPAP. The porch and the bathtub were a favorite aspect.

Such a relaxing fun time! The wine was great and I loved the outdoor shower in the early morning. There are some dogs at a nearby location that bark a lot at night, but otherwise a peaceful sleep. The river was amazing and refreshing. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Indeed, a Sanctuary on the River in every way! This family-friendly site lived up to all its promises and more. The grounds are gorgeous and exciting with so much to do: a HUGE trampoline, a Zipline, winery and even hula hoops!
The site itself is serene and tranquil and the babbling River just steps away added a soothing touch. The water was crystal clear and just the right depth to make it fairly warm on a hot day.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to meet the host, Carla, but found Tiff who provided delicious flights of their unique wine even though I’m sure they were closed. Tiff was fantastic and incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. Highly recommend this camping site for a perfect getaway! We’ll certainly be back!

We were there during a 100 degree heatwave. The river saved us. Nice hammock and chairs in the shade by the river. Amazing dragonflies at the irrigation pond! Wednesday Farmers market just 10 minutes away. Carla was very friendly and accessible. She did a wine tasting for us. Lovely wine. Don't leave food out or the ants will get all over it. If you don't know what poison oak looks like, ask Carla to show you. There was some at the edge of our campsite. There was not a picnic table and you may need to carry your things to your site so if mobility is an issue keep that in mind.

It is a beautiful half hour drive through the countryside from historic Jacksonville to get to this cabin. Carla our host was very nice and a pleasure to meet. We loved using the bath tub on the back patio that looks over the water. We did the wine tasting at the winery and purchased two kinds that we liked best.

Love love love this little hidden Gem! Went there for a solo weekend getaway and couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful spot to spend my time. I felt like I was a part of a fairy tale with the outdoor tub right by the river, the open field where the sun would set over, and the clear skies that the stars shown so beautifully ☺️ I have to admit, even the outdoor compostable toilet had an excellent view as well! Carla was a pleasant and peaceful host that gave me my privacy as well. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a very relaxing and cozy stay. Soaking in the outdoor bath tub while listening to the sound of the river and looking up at the stars was just wonderful! Also a great place to bring a dog and let them explore. Carla was a great host, she was flexible with me changing dates and provided lots of fire wood to keep the wood stove burning. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at Carla's guest house. The space is very cozy and was perfect for two people and two dogs. Quiet setting very close to a few gorgeous hiking trails. I recommend stopping into the Wild Wines tasting room during your stay!

We were very impressed with the inside of the tiny house both how it made use of the space to create room to live and cook as well as the craftsmanship from the tiles to the trim. The property is beautiful, it’s on the edge of a big field so we got a lot of sunshine and the porch was just enough in the shade which was right next to a creek. We had an excellent day on a nearby ridge hike and winery. Carla is a great host! We hope to be back again soon!

We loved this private little cabin, especially the wraparound deck with rocking chairs and claw foot tub overlooking the creek. The house stayed pretty cool inside even on a 99 degree day. Be sure you can climb a ladder to get to the bed. It’s sturdy and secure, just steep. The bed was super comfy though. Kitchen has all the necessities. Composting toilet was very rustic. If you like Breitenbush, you’ll love it here!

When I arrived, Carla walked me around the property and showed me all the outdoor shower and composting toilet as well as a couple of ways to access the creek. There are a couple of green houses that are the working part of the farm and beyond that a pasture bordered by a hill on one side and a creek on the other. She pointed out a couple of good spots to camp and I had lots of space and privacy. I really appreciated that she let me drive my car closer to the campsite so I didn't have to carry my stuff too far. It would be even nicer earlier in the year when it was not so dry but that's my poor planning to come in July. The hot shower was a real luxury!

This was a great spot. We found a nice little private spot in the back corner to set up tents. We enjoyed the zip line. Carla was a great host. Just make sure you are aware of poison oak. It is everywhere in this region of SW Oregon.

Such a serene and beautiful spot! The Creek was so nice, and having access to the shower and toilet made for a nicer camping experience. It’s a great alternative to a traditional campsite, you might not have total privacy but everyone we met was friendly and welcoming and patient with our puppy!

The host and everyone on the property were very friendly and gave us some ideas of things to do in the area. Access to the the hammock on the river on the property was a nice spot to relax. And the very friendly cat would drop by.

This is a beautiful, peaceful farm! We enjoyed sleeping beside the river and hearing the water run all night. We loved that the hosts kid really wanted to show us everything on the farm - all the cats and the trees (and the zip line!) We had a great time!
