The shower water is filtered water from a shallow well, but bring water to drink. This campsite lies about 1 mile from the pacific ocean at about 15 feet elevation so it will be cooler than inland camp sites. I believe we are the closest camping to the south side of the Blacklock Hiking Trails. Also next to the Cape Blanco State Airport. (call if you want to fly in and get transport to and from the campsite). Access Road is a single lane in and out (gravel, dirt, and grass). Any towed trailers need to be pulled by a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle to climb back out (in and out procedures for trailers will be provided) Bring a fishing pole or a kayak. Sea-run trout are in the river during the summer (no motorized vehicles allowed in the Sixes River by law. No motorized vehicles in campsite besides automobiles by rule.) - Please be accurate with the number of guests in your party. Please note about lack of signage: The "walters landing" and "92220" on airport road are the only markings to indicate our entrance. We don't want to put any "campground" signs to avoid curious trespassers into the property (we only want invited guests). Campsite Rules: 1. Enjoy. 2. No motorized vehicles besides your auto. 3. Indian creek is a beautiful spot on the Elk River that's named after a creek that runs from the mountains into the river. It's located on 200 acres of land that is used to run cattle year round. Just a 1/4 mile up the road is our family owned and operated RV Park which give access to restrooms, showers, laundry room, wifi, ice, and propane. Coming from the North, GPS may drop you a few driveways away as that is the property line. Keep driving about another 1/8th mile until you see the large red "Cornerstone Ranch" sign. That is our driveway. Welcome... The ranch offers 6 different campsites. Campfires are allowed (outside of burn bans), and there is a toilet in off season and Port-A-Potties during the summer on site as well. Reviews from guests: "During the night we could hear Elk and the nearby nature! When we woke up we got to visit with the horses, use the really clean port-potty, and chat with Bonnie and Chris the Hosts. They have tons of recommendations, but our favorite was the Indian creek cafe across the river. The areas so great and clean and the host cares about their guests! Would recommend!"

I had an amazing stay at this cozy yurt near Coos Bay, Oregon. The property itself is stunning—set on a vast stretch of woodland that is even part of a golf course, it felt like a peaceful retreat tucked away in nature. The yurt was warm, inviting, and the skylight made it extra special. Hearing the nearby stream in the evening and waking up to soft natural light were some of my favorite things about the yurt stay. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, even taking the time to show me where to find edible mushrooms on the property. It’s clear they genuinely enjoy sharing their land and encouraging guests to explore and connect with the outdoors. The sauna and outdoor-style shower added to the rustic, nature-inspired experience—simple, refreshing, and perfectly in tune with the setting. Overall, this stay was peaceful, unique, and full of thoughtful touches. As a solo female I felt incredibly safe and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, nature-focused getaway. 🌿

Absolutely stunning ocean front property and cozy bungalow equipped with small kitchenette, couch and cute rustic decor. The kitchenette had a coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave and mini fridge as well as necessary cutlery. The composting toilet was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. For being right on the cliffside, the bungalow was very dry inside and not a bit moist or musty like most coastal houses can be. The path to the beach is very steep but well maintained. Morning coffee on the beach is a must! Beach is low tide access only. My little dog was the happiest I’ve ever seen her. She was elated, running circles on the luscious property and scaling the rocks on the beach. 10/10 would love to stay again!

Single private camping site on our off grid property along side a small river. You can swim, fish, canoe, kayak, or just enjoy the peaceful flow of the water going by. Welcome to the river! This beautiful 10 acre property is located on the scenic main Umpqua River. Enjoy excellent, year-round fishing, kayaking, and swimming right from your private and secluded campsite. Our property is located between 2 boat ramps which makes kayak, canoe, or raft floats a breeze. The property features beautiful, mature trees, fun bedrock to explore, and an amazing swimming hole (in the summertime when the river level is low enough). Sit at the river’s edge and enjoy the sounds of the water. Be sure to watch for soaring Eagles, jumping fish, and the occasional mink on the opposite river's edge! There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive. There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go. The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months (Mid April through Labor Day Weekend - please message us for exact dates if you need it and are booking outside this window). There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.

Many pleasantries await the curious such as embedded fossils in the cracked mud walls.Nestled amongst towering fir and cedar trees, with windows everywhere, you'll feel and see nature's presence. This home site has a remarkably peaceful way about it. Recently featured in Southern Oregon Magazine and KCBY 11 TV's ~In Focus~ 'Goin' Green' and Oregon's Solar Home Tour, this is a unique 'green' home. This home was built with environmentally friendly materials. Building with little impact on the surroundings was very important to us during construction. The myrtle hardwood floor in the kitchen and living room was milled on site which came from trees that stood where the house is now. Same story for the beautiful maple flooring in the ½ bath. All of the large beams and fir flooring came from two 4' thick 104 year old douglas fir trees which also stood and were milled where the house is now. The fir trees sprouted after the last forest fire that came through the canyon. One of our neighbors fell a sixty five year old redwood that was over six feet thick! We used some of it as a wonderful wainscot paneling throughout the house. All of the finishes used are no or low VOC. Surrounding the house is native vegetation, huge trees and a few herbs and spices for cooking. You'll enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with labradorite granite counters. The kitchen island has a new five burner gas stove with a convection oven and warming oven. The island has plenty of granite and wood counter space. Hanging from the exhaust hood are stainless, non-stick, and cast iron cookware. We also provide shade grown fair trade coffee and a grinder, espresso machine, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, utensils, chef knives, glasses and frosty cocktail glasses in the freezer. The dining room table has a river view and can seat six comfortably. There is also seating for three at the island bar. Not only that, we can arrange for you to have coffee delivered to your door or a BBQ party for your party. Four hours south of Portland, two hours North of the CA boarder. Coos Bay has an regional airport made accessible by our world class golf course Bandon Dunes 1/2 hour from our place. The airport has one 55 minute flight a day to San Francisco. While the listing says "no wheel chair access" this is just for the camper because there are steps. If someone in your party has a wheelchair and would like to camp we can help you arrange the area for a tent or car camping for that individual but we do not have an accessible toilet other than an REI camp seat on bucket we can let you borrow if you promise to clean :) Our tiny house is on the same property as this camper. We have two gates so our guests have a private entrance with secure parking. There are two well behaved dogs, Figi and Kit and one cat, Riddle on the property. It is okay to have your well behaved dog off leash and a small camp fire most times of the year. We have an outdoor sitting area and BBQ. Small shower bath combo in the camper and in progress a dog washing station! Even though the photos illustrate the beauty and privacy to the West, we do hear some traffic to the East and the ground can be a bit muddy near the bay. We encourage guests to walk on the pathways vs the marsh which we are preserving if they head out to the sandy beach to clam or kayak. Other sports that could be fun would be kite surfing, or wet suit swimming.
