If you are an animal lover, take the time to enjoy a visit with our cats and chickens too. *Please note, while we have no direct neighbors, we are in a narrow river canyon. There is an active farm and wedding venue across the river. You may hear distant noise of their operations or events, depending on the season. This camper is new and well-stocked. It has heating and AC. The bathroom is small, but is hooked up to the city sewage. Note the bed is an RV queen size. Wifi is free. The camper is located between St Johns and Kenton in charming North Portland. It is safely located in the backyard of the property, and is surrounded by tall fences and shrubbery, allowing for absolute privacy. Beautiful yard with outdoor dining area and hot tub access (hot tub available starting September 2025). We are located a half a block away from the historic Columbia Park, with a long walking path through mature Doug firs, sports fields, pickleball courts and a play area/splash pad in the summer. There are many wonderful restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops located nearby. The neighborhood is safe and we have free parking. We are pretty quiet here:)

When you arrive, you'll be greeted and briefly introduced to some of the cabin's unique features, including attic stairs to the windowed sleeping loft. Downstairs is a sofa and a sofabed. The coffee cart kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer, a coffee maker, an electric tea kettle, a toaster oven, and a microwave. Cook on an outdoor gas grill with a skillet and saucepan, and enjoy outdoor dining at a picnic table. Dishes, linens, and bedding are provided. WiFi speed is suitable for basic use. Mobile phones connect through WiFi. The cabin is non-smoking. Children six years and up are welcome. Summer recreational areas are nearby with miles of trails, including the Pacific Crest Trail, are nearby. Howard Prairie Lake is across the road. Howard Prairie Lake is a local favorite for fishing for Rainbow Trout and smallmouth bass. Birdwatchers can see eagles, pelicans, geese, ducks, hawks, herons, and many other bird species. A 25-minute drive will take you to Lake of the Woods, where you can dine, hike, and kayak, or snowshoe and cross-country ski in the winter. Crater Lake National Park is 65 miles away.

Because we are so close, you can hear the sunset-view-seeking drivers, motorcycle riders, and yes, racers who come out this way for a spin on one of the most scenic highways in the world. There is also the upstairs loft space, which has two full sized beds each with their own trundle bed. In addition, there is a bonus space downstairs with it own full sized day bed that stays nice and cool in the summer, but needs a little pre-heating in the winter months to be comfortable for most folks. stayed here for our second night in portland after camping the first night. it was super nice to stay in a nice big bed and the host was very responsive and nice. he gave us a puzzle and some cards to play with and was very friendly. would def stay again!

1 night at Miranda's Farm and Recreation

The safari tent was amazing! If you’re visiting in October, just be prepared for some pretty cold nights! The tent has a small heater, but it wasn’t quite enough to keep us warm. Luckily, we had extra blankets in our van and brought them inside. They do provide additional blankets, but we were still a little chilly. The onsite host gave us a heads-up about the cold weather when we arrived, so we bundled up and made the best of it! Just note the restrooms and showers are outdoors. The beds are comfortable, and the tent has everything you could possibly need for a great stay. The views are beautiful, both at night when you can see all the stars and in the morning when you wake up to the stunning scenery. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I would definitely recommend staying here! Just bring extra warm layers if you’re visiting in the colder months.

7 nights at Private Mountain Cabin Getaway

We so enjoyed this cute little cabin, staying there for a whole week! We planned ahead for the limited kitchen, and found it great with the toaster oven, microwave, grill, and small fridge. Really appreciated the large picnic table for games, nice fire pit and chairs, solid wifi, and amazing deep outdoor tub.

I truly enjoyed my stay here. It is a quiet and beautiful location and perfect for a solo cabin get away or a group camping trip which is what I did. The hosts are close by and are very helpful and friendly. I fell in love with Ptera (like pteradactyl) their blonde chicken... 10/10 recommend!

This spot by the river was so beautiful. Just a short walk down to the pebble shore of the river and we had a very private place to sit, listen to the river, skip rocks, and watch the wild life. We appreciated the small cabin onsite where my older mother could stay comfortably while the kids were able to tent camp right outside. We did not use the cowboy tub because of the extra charge, but it looked well kept, clean and cozy.

2 nights at Stellar Cabin

The stellar cabin was just what we were looking for. We loved the cozy cabin and the amazing view, 2 person hot tub and the cookhouse with stove and oven. We saw a family of deer pass through several times and some wild turkey too. Jody made us fresh cinnamon rolls from scratch! Plus she was super helpful sharing her knowledge of the area and helping us find fun things to do. We had an amazing trip.

Great value. Ritchie has created a budget friendly peaceful oasis. Overall beautifully quite neighborhood (minus a couple of dogs barking on their morning walk and sound of pickle ball at the park which was pleasant enough ambiant noise) Camper itself was adorably appointed and I appreciate Ritchie avoids harsh chemical cleaning agents making this a more synthetic chemical avoidant friendly location than I’m always readily able to find. We had a relaxing time and grateful for the great location and ease of access and communication for a semi last min staycation

This little cabin is the perfect peaceful getaway. The space is cozy, thoughtfully appointed, and designed for relaxing and unwinding. The wood-fired hot tub was incredible and easy to use. The cooking setup was also a breeze, and everything was well stocked and cared for well. Trent is a fantastic host: polite, thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable to talk with.
