Book both sites for extra large groups or if you need more space/privacy. There is no electricity or running water in the cabin, however a generator can be rented if it is desired. Potable water is also available on site if you bring a jug to fill. A portable toilet is available on-site. Take advantage of the opportunity to go fishing, swimming, or launch your boat/kayak/tube. Alternatively, simply relax and enjoy the picturesque views of the river and the wildlife in the coastal rainforest. Watch the salmon jump during spawning season in November, or cast a rod from our private fishing spot. We are also a birdwatcher's and rockhounding paradise! Just a few minutes away from town amenities, this location allows you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the forested river canyon, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We are family and fur baby friendly! If you are an animal lover, take the time to enjoy a visit with our cats and chickens too.
*Please note, while we have no direct neighbors, we are in a narrow river canyon. There is an active farm and wedding venue across the river. You may hear distant noise of their operations or events, depending on the season. There is also a quarry across the road that operates M-F, from 8a-3p that sometimes can be heard sporadically throughout the day.

Although pets are welcome, we expect them to be well-behaved around our two cats, our own big sweetie of a pup, Frejya, our two crazy goats Cupcake and Muffin, and our free-ranging chickens. Expect to hear some animal noises here on the farm.
Our property literally borders the scenic highway. Because we are so close, you can hear the sunset-view-seeking drivers, motorcycle riders, and yes, racers who come out this way for a spin on one of the most scenic highways in the world. Traffic quiets down after dark and mornings are quite 'chill'.

We love seeing the world, with our favorite destinations being Mexico, Dubai, and Canada. Also, we love camping and decided to create a little private camping ground and farm lodge for people who wish to camp without huge expense. We try hard to make each guest’s stay wonderfully memorable.

When you arrive, you'll be greeted and briefly introduced to some of the cabin's unique features, including attic stairs to the windowed sleeping loft. Downstairs is a sofa and a sofabed. The coffee cart kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer, a coffee maker, an electric tea kettle, a toaster oven, and a microwave. Cook on an outdoor gas grill with a skillet and saucepan, and enjoy outdoor dining at a picnic table. Dishes, linens, and bedding are provided. WiFi speed is suitable for basic use. Mobile phones connect through WiFi. The cabin is non-smoking. Children six years and up are welcome.
Summer recreational areas are nearby with miles of trails, including the Pacific Crest Trail, are nearby. Howard Prairie Lake is across the road. Howard Prairie Lake is a local favorite for fishing for Rainbow Trout and smallmouth bass. Birdwatchers can see eagles, pelicans, geese, ducks, hawks, herons, and many other bird species.
A 25-minute drive will take you to Lake of the Woods, where you can dine, hike, and kayak, or snowshoe and cross-country ski in the winter. Crater Lake National Park is 65 miles away.

You will appreciate the peace and quiet of this little cottage on Rock Creek, situated on 11 acres of forest in Williams Oregon. The only sounds you'll hear are the birds in the trees and the flowing creek water. Enjoy sitting on the deck overlooking the confluence of Rock Creek and East Fork Williams Creek. A bridge crosses Rock Creek and there is a hiking trail beyond.
Our garden hot tub is a welcome place to soak and enjoy the stars at night. Its an older tub but still keeps the water at 102 degrees.
Our cabin has a kitchenette with a small fridge, sink, 2-burner gas stovetop, microwave, teapot, toaster, and 12-cup coffee maker, plus a few dishes, cutlery, and pots and pans - enough for simple meal preparation. Coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer are provided along with a dozen fresh eggs from our chickens when available.
The cabin has a small woodstove as its only heat source. A little wood can be provided, and we provide newspaper, matches, and fire starters. There is an abundance of kindling around the property - great for getting a fire going. The stove holds 18" x 4" split logs, if you have some to bring. There are two smaller stuffed chairs, and two bar stools at a small bar-height table with views of the creek.
The bathroom has a shower and vanity sink, and towels and toiletries are provided. There is hot and cold running water, although the 4-gallon hot water heater limits showers to around 5 minutes.
Nice sturdy steps lead up to the loft upstairs which has an 8" full-sized (wider than a twin but narrower than a queen) memory foam mattress with fresh linens. The loft is low and cozy which allows the camper to sit up on the bed but not stand up.
A compost toilet is about 100 yards away, and has electricity. Bring your flashlights to find the compost toilet as well as the hot tub as the property is very dark.
Cell service is okay depending on your server, and WiFi is available. The password is listed in the binder on the hutch as well as posted on the WiFi router in the compost toilet building. Some games and puzzles are provided.

As a working 67 acre organic farm, the property is very rural, but only an hour outside Portland, Oregon.
The Farm is also conveniently located close to several towns including Mount Angle and the cool little town of Silverton, Oregon.
Silverton has several excellent restaurants, great brew pubs, a seasonal farmer's market, and shopping. It is also home of The Oregon Gardens, a world class botanical garden.
Crooked Finger Farms has great history. The Farm and surrounding acreage was homesteaded in the late 1850’s-1860’s. You can still pick the fruit from the original heirloom apple and pear trees! The farmhouse, historic barn and outbuildings were built as a dairy in 1915.

Weekend Trip to N Foss Camper
Ritchie was a great host! He made sure I had all the info I needed to comfortable in the camper, since I was getting in late at night and he wouldn't be able to show me in person. His home is in a nice neighborhood, next to a huge, beautiful park! I came without a car and had no problem accessing public transit from this location.
The camper itself was exactly what I needed: a comfortable, private place to sleep while I was in the city. The bed was comfy, and the shower was a godsend after a day of hiking and exploring the city. I definitely plan to stay here again, and I would recommend this to other solo travelers or a couple who doesn't mind being cozy.

Weekend Trip to Sweet Relief
The property is beautiful natural forest with Fir, Cedar and big Leaf maples. Cool quiet and lovely. Trent is easy and quick to respond and very on top of hosting and what you need. The cabin is cute and the soaking tub is the BEST! Highly recommend

This was a wonderful little cabin! You can tell that it was built with care. The porch was lovely with some decorative lights and flowers placed on the outside table. The details made this place memorable. It has a little loft with a bed and a sofa bed downstairs for the kids. We were able to prepare some food in the little kitchen, since it had a toaster, microwave, and fridge. The property is beautiful and my kids loved running around. Kit was helpful, kind, and flexible with our arrival time. Highly recommend!

I loved my stay here. Karen was a great host, provided a detailed tour and then - true to her word -left me to myself. I felt like I had the forest, creek and hot tub all to myself.

Our family camping trip to Teresa and Michael's bell tent was fantastic. Very kind folks with a very special and well maintained property. You know that certain creative, whimsical vibe that is hard to find and impossible to duplicate? This place has it. I would totally recommend, based on breakfast and the sound of the Santiam river alone. You won't regret your visit here. ✨ Several units on the property with shared amenities and common spaces, but everything was still very quiet and private at the same time. I enjoyed the fostered communal energy. Beats the heck out of any crowded campground on Detroit lake! Oh- we loved Gamble the dog the most possibly.

Trent has provided a charming little space for glamping on his land. The location is a good base camp for hiking and exploring the surrounding natural areas. The wood-fired hot tub is convenient and relaxing after a long day of hiking. The solar powered shower was appreciated. Trent provides cooking facilities, utensils, and propane. My son and I enjoyed feeding the goats and collecting fresh eggs in the morning.

First, Ritchie was a fantastic host, communicative, responsive, kind, and respectful of our privacy. We were looking for a camping alternative in town for a few nights, and the Airstream fit perfectly: quiet, private, and comfortable, and we slept really well! When we wanted more space, we enjoyed the beautiful backyard seating area and the large, shady park right across the street. The hot tub was an added bonus! The neighborhood felt very safe, with lovely homes and friendly neighbors. Overall, a really great stay!

Hello, fellow Hipcampers! I strongly recommend this lovely location. Rushing River impressed us with delicous fresh baked breakfast, a river channel with a swing and handmade natural pools, cozy outdoor seating looking over the river, and an easily accessible location next to the highway with little to no highway sound. This space is family-friendly and a real find!

What words to even describe...25 minutes from Portland and yet it feels like you are a million miles from the hustle and bustle. Private and so serene, the bath, outdoor shower, all the thoughtful details. Highly recommend for a reset or weekend away. Almost dont want to share this special place!!!

Couldn’t have asked for more accommodating hosts and hidden little gem! Whether you’re a Dave fan or not (you should be!), you’ll appreciate the vibe and ode to Dave decor!
We and 3 humans & 2 dogs - one person in the Grey Street cabin and then 2 tents behind it - plenty of room for 1 or 2 more tents. Loved the low fire ring versus a pit as you feel the heat more and I strongly recommend you get your wood from the host - they cut it to generate heat versus the faster burn, longer pieces you get in your typical wood bundles. See and hear the river from the site, a short walk down to it and a very private feeling.
Another must do is to order the the eggs and s‘’mores kit🥰. You can’t get any fresher, more colorful or tastier eggs and the s’mores? I mean, who doesn’t love them!!
Best thing may have been the aerial zip line for the dogs - a saver for those who always want to be in the water😂.
Bottom line - can’t go wrong with Grey Street and we’re looking forward to our next visit!

Teresa and her husband's hospitality was fantastic, the property is stunning with the sound of the river running being a joy to the soul! Bell tent was great, easy to pop our things in but our boys still felt the ambience of camping. Having a hot tub to relax in after our long hike was amazing and Teresa's breakfast was superb! Not your average cookie cutter property and the multiple decks to sit, watch and listen to the river was perfection. Truly wish we had another day or two to spend there.

We had such a peaceful, lovely stay at Trent’s place. He was super super kind and fun to chat with. Anything I needed help with he was quick to offer a hand with. It’s clear he really enjoys hosting folks. The hot tub was incredible. The bed was comfy and I loved the camp oven! We would love to stay again!

Trent was an extremely friendly and wonderful host! He helped us bring our gear down to the cabin and gave a great explainer of the cabin and amenities. The cabin itself was really well appointed. Besides the dreamy wood fire tub, there’s propane and charcoal grills, a bistro table and chairs outside and a little table within. There’s enough cookware that you don’t need to bring your own, and Trent also offered us fresh eggs in the morning from the chickens on the property. The bed is very comfy and we stayed warm and cozy. Overall, it was such a great stay and we hope to return. Thank you so much!

Such a great halfway point for our trip to relax and take a break. Never felt more comfortable in strangers backyard. Rick and Ellen are both so welcoming. Plenty of amenities that they encourage you to use. Pets come and say hello as well.
Great suggestions for local spots too.
Little background noise, that some marijuana easily took care of for a good night sleep.

Staying at this cute solar powered cabin with my dog was fun and relaxing.
The best parts were hearing Swainson's Thrush and owls, soaking in the wood fired hot tub (which was so easy to use) and watching my city dog enjoy being off leash and exploring the trails.
The outhouse was clean and actually smelled good.
Trent was so helpful, friendly and communicative. Directions to the cabin were great. There were even a few fun surprises.
It was a good visit, and I wished we could have stayed longer.

My family stayed in the bell tent at Rushing River. The property is absolutely charming. There are several comfortable communal areas, we loved the patios overlooking the river, the covered couch area and the fire pit area (which we used nightly for s’mores and some late night hot dogs!). The river is so peaceful - my son caught some trout and loved the swing, we did rock searches and lounged in chairs with our feet in the water. The tent we stayed in was roomy and comfortable - Teresa and Mike ensured we had everything we needed to feel comfortable - including an extra cot, pillows we forgot, a bbq, coffee, anything we needed!
The property is super close to Detroit, it made day trips to the lake easy.
Mike and Teresa are such a wonderful couple. You can tell they truly enjoy hosting. They make home cooked meals for everyone, start a camp fire every evening for anyone to join and are always down to hang and chat.
We will definitely be back!
