There is a communal central deck for camper's use, with a sink, propane stove, some cooking utensils, power outlet and a hose bib. A communal port-a-potty is available to campers.
The working farm fields are not open to campers, but can be admired as a backdrop. Wave hi to any farmers you see out there working! A You-Pick flower patch and farm stand at the entrance of the property are open for frolicking, picture-taking and flower-picking seasonally.
You'll see bald eagles, hear owls and watch deer pass through your camp. But you are only about a 5-10 min walk from town! This does mean you'll often hear music from events on weekend evenings, and plane traffic does fly overhead. Vashon is quiet and full of nature, but you're not out in the middle of nowhere! We hope you enjoy all that there is to do here, and create some great stories :)

This campground is located within Maury Island Marine Park, on the east side of Maury Island, a peninsula of Vashon Island. One of the largest undeveloped properties located directly on Puget Sound with more than 1 mile of shoreline, the park provides stunning views of the East Passage, Mount Rainier and the Cascade Mountains. The site had significance for early Native Americans and is referenced in a legend about Snake People who arrived from the mainland as part of war party.
The park contains rare stands of Pacific Madrone, a salt marsh, eelgrass beds and significant fish and wildlife habitat for such species as great blue herons, bald eagles, kingfishers, chinook salmon, orca, and bull trout.
Trail length within the park: 3 miles (plus .75 mile gravel maintenance road to the shoreline accessible to non-motorized vehicles only).

There is no outdoor music at any time. Quiet hours are 8 pm to 10 am.

The water at (shallower) Dockton Park (about a 6 min drive away) gets warm from swimming in summer if you prefer it to 54 degree deep water here!
Please clean up after your pet. Dogs must be leashed AT ALL TIMES in the field. If no one is around at the beach, they can be off leash, but leash up if anyone approaches until they pass. Please never leave your dog unattended outside where barking will disturb the peace.

This cozy cottage is equipped with a queen size bed in a lovely sleeping loft, a small but useful kitchen, a large trex deck with patio furniture, a comfy couch and small dining table. The separate, but luxurious, bath house has a full sized shower, sink, and fully plumbed flushing toilet. There is even a small stacked washer and dryer available. Laundry soap available for purchase. Name brand (no dollar store stuff here) shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided.
A cozy heater keeps the tiny house warm on cool days, but there is no air conditioning. The shady woods stay nice and cool, and there are lots of screened windows to let in the breeze. The sleeping loft also has two screened windows and a fan if the nights are warm.

Manchester State Park features a beach, sand dunes, and flat grasslands, with nearly 18,000 feet of ocean frontage. One of the main attractions is the excellent steelhead fishing in the park’s two streams, Brush Creek and Alder Creek. Steven was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. His talent as a metal artist is evident throughout the property, with unique pieces that add so much character and make the space feel truly one of a kind.
The full hookups were convenient, the site was easy to find, and was peaceful and quiet overnight. Being near the water meant there was a wonderful breeze, making for a comfortable night's sleep in the van.

I loved having this adventure with my three kids! The yurt was so comfortable and well stocked. The air was fresh and it stayed cool even on a 90 degree day. The path from parking to the yurt was fairly long and gave my kids freedom to explore and ride their bikes up and down and I still always knew where they were even though they got to be independent and go on "nature walks." Virginia invited the kids to feed her goats with her, and they were SO TICKLED (literally) and got so much joy!

Great location, great host. No smoking anywhere on the property and the oversellus barking neighbor dogs were kind of a pain as we had to keep our babies inside the whole time. But, a very good place if you do not smoke and have no dogs. The site can be difficult to navigate if you are limited on experience.

Weekend Trip to Secluded Forest Yurt
We had an incredible stay at this secluded forest yurt. It was much larger than expected and thoughtfully stocked, with plebty of candles, comforts and quiet that made the evenings extra cozy. Our favorite moment was lighting candles, watching a movie, after relaxing by the fire after a peaceful day outside. The porch and grill were perfect for soaking up the forest setting, romantic, quiet, and calming. Even though the mosquitoes were out, we came prepared and it didn't dampen the experience. Our two dachshunds loved exploring. Lowbacca took his security duties very seriously while Lady took everything in. We left feeling refreshed, reconnected, and already talking about coming back. Thank you, Virginia, for creating such a memorable, welcoming place. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful nature getaway.

Elizabeth was very nice and showed me around the property. she mentioned that she has some projects that they're working on like redoing the back patio, a new fire pit, and an outside shower and an enclosed private porta toilet. I think it'll be extra nice after those but this was fine for my needs and very peaceful. the area I set up my tent was by the house and she had a very cute fire pit with firewood available for purchase, a hose hookup and a porta toilet that's available to use if you're comfortable doing that technically within sight of the main house. I didn't care, other people might not care, but I figured I'd mention it. I slept like a baby and it was close enough to town but you can walk down the stairs to the lake for more of a peaceful lake experience but that's separate from where you're camping but close. she also has a kayak/paddleboard available to rent as well.

We absolutely loved our camping trip! My youngests favorite thing was the seat in the tree (campsite #3) and my favorite was the communal kitchen. We used the kitchen three times a day and it was so very convenient. The campsite was clean and each campsite has enough space between them to give privacy. We were also very happy to find out just how close to town we actually were even though it didn't feel like it. Forgot something? No problem! The store is so close you can walk there with the kids and be back in no time. We never needed anything, but we knew they were there if we ever did. It was just what we needed 😊

Tent camping on Lisa’s land was amazing. We brought family that was uneasy about camping and the beauty of this place made it so worth it to them. The Fourth of July views were unbeatable. We also saw humpback whales, otters, and seals from the beach!

25 ft truck camper
We loved our stay here. The neighborhood is very quiet, and it was very nice walking on the street with a view of the bay. This is the first time we’ve stayed at a Hipcamp with full hookup. That’s a huge plus! Steve was great and communicated very well. We would definitely stay here again!
