Rainbow ridge itself is largely comprised of the three houses on property as well as the surrounding woodlands. Its area spans fifty acres of elevated terrain surrounded by a forest creek (where crawdads can be found). The camping area is on about five acres of the property and is populated by alders and evergreens, making it a wonderful place to connect with nature. It's a beautiful area sure to soothe the soul. A short but captivating nature trail is open to campers who are interested in a walk up the gentle hill. We do have a worm composting toilet and water available for washing. A new hot shower will be available. A couple of more sites are in the plans. Nearby is the quaint town of Montesano. Lake Sylvia is there for those looking to discover one of our lovely state parks. Closer by, there is a river with boat launch that runs down and through Montesano for people who want to swim, fish, float, or boat. Montesano's central location in Grays Harbor allows it to serve as a wonderful base of operations for those looking to explore more of the coast, and northwestern peninsula. The way up to Rainbow Ridge is a short winding driveway of somewhat steep grade, delivery trucks have no problems, so if you have a small camper or less, you should be fine.

Merriman Creek is nestled under a canopy of old growth Maple Trees next to our Nightly Rental, The River's Edge, on the South Shore of Lake Quinault. At the request of our nightly rental customers, we have added secluded dry camping sites for our guests and for those wanting to enjoy the Lake Quinault area. Due to USFS Campground closures and high demand, we are happy to provide a place for campers to spend a night or two as they enjoy Lake Quinault. The Hipcamp location is approx 100 yards away from our Rental House and it is secluded and provided. Preferably this is a walk-in tent site Hipcamp, but if the weather is dry, you may drive in with your car or camper van. Please be mindful of other campers as this is an open field nestled under old growth Maple Trees. Quiet Hours and respectful camping etiquette should be followed. We have a communal fire pit in the middle of the 3 acre parcel, 7 sites in total and a clean and new Porta-Potty toilet. There is no water on site so please bring your own water. You may also bring your own portable propane fire pit should you wish not to use the communal fire pit. We hope this description helps! Site 1 is best suited for a camper van. Everyone must pass by this site to get to the other sites. SIte 1 is also closest to the Porta Potty. Site 5 and 6 are in the very back of the property and might be best if you are camping with another family. Site 7 is closest to the fire pit. One tent per space please. You are welcome to message the Host for any questions, we are very accommodating and can also help you plan your trip and advise on things to do. We also have a brand new cabin 1/2 mile up the Valley from our Merriman Creek Hipcamp that also can be rented through the Hipcamp Platform.

We scored with a very private weekend with no other campers but would be perfect for a group of friends or 4 families one per site. My bf and I chose the site overlooking the creek and more private behind a bush but the site with the tent yurt looked awesome. Hosts were friendly and directions were clear, just try to arrive before dark or it will be a little challenging seeing the signs to your site. Would stay there again!

I had a wonderful time! Camp was perfect, and so easy to find. It was raining my first night, but they have a barn that you can cook, chill wash up in; theres even a shower! highly recommend staying here if you want to be close to ocean shores but away from the crowds there.

It's a small pasture surrounded by beautiful trees, there is no privacy from other campers but the sites are spread out. The site was all lush green grass even in Aug, I walked around barefoot most of the time. The huge maple trees were gorgeous, especially at sunset and sunrise. Negatives: our site was in direct afternoon sun (91° that day) it was hot, I asked Kellie a question through HC and she never answered, and the port-a-john was pretty gross, no toilet paper, hadn't been cleaned in 6 days.

One big, grassy field with sites lined up. Site #6 was at the very end so if you set up right, you might get better privacy than the other sites. No service and close to Lake Quinault. Next to a road so you might hear cars, but otherwise it's pretty quiet.

Perfect spot for our one night stay! Just a few miles from Lake Quinault (South Shore), campsite was well maintained and site spacious enough for our campervan. The property was very quiet and peaceful. The mountain views were incredible. We especially enjoyed sunset and watching the herd of 40+ elk grazing down the road. The sites appear to be close together, and there were no other campers, so can 't really comment on crowded/not crowded, or noise concerns. Would we come back? Absolutely. Happy Camping!

We were having trouble finding a campsite and were relieved to book here last minute. That said, we were a bit disappointed. The sites are very close together, and it felt more like a shared field than individual campsites. If you enjoy primitive or private camping, this probably isn’t the spot for you. One frustrating moment was when other campers changed clothes right in the middle of the shared area, which felt uncomfortable and inconsiderate. Other than that great spot, beautiful scenery.

We had such a wonderful stay at Tiffany’s glass house! The location was absolutely beautiful. Peaceful, scenic, and the perfect place to unwind. Tiffany put so much thought into every detail, making sure all the amenities were in perfect condition and the space felt welcoming and well cared for. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was clean and well-designed, and the outdoor shower was definitely our favorite feature. It made the whole experience feel even more special. We felt right at home and would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing getaway.

A lovely and very well kept spot! Really appreciated how clean the outhouse was kept and the availability of a hot shower. The property was quiet and private while still being close to things to do. August was very kind! The campsite are small which was not an issue at all when we were the only ones there. We did unfortunately have a large group next to us in campsite #3 that was playing music late into the evening and had dogs off-leash that wandered into our campsite. Not the host’s fault at all and I ultimately decided the confrontation wasn’t worth the stress for just a couple nights. Overall, I’d highly recommend staying at Rainbow Ridge and would stay again myself!

This was such a cute place with well thought out details. Getting to listen to rain on the glass roof was very relaxing. There’s a cute outdoor area with a fire pit, which would be great if you aren’t traveling during a burn ban. The heated outdoor shower was also very nice on chilly mornings. The place is very private. It’s in a gated neighborhood so it feels safe. The house also has its own little gate to feel more secure. There are trees all around so even though you are relatively close to neighbors, it doesn’t feel like it. There are also curtains all around the windows for added privacy. The beach is just a short walk away.
