DIRECTIONS:
Upon entry the gravel road is shared with my neighbor and it is about 1.5 miles from the entry gate to the site. You'll enter thru a gate (it may be closed, if closed please close behind you as my neighbor sometimes has cows). Go approx 1 mile the road will split...go up the hill on the right. Continue past the Hay barn another half mile. Park on the left side of the gravel road along the tree line.
Another 50ft you'll see a wood foot bridge across the creek. The sites are ahead, PawPaw is first, then Bloodroot Base Camp (bell tent), and lastly Cohosh Cove is the most private. Each site has a sign as well
When driving, please be respectful of the right of way. Drive slowly and respect the farm equipment. Also please do not venture onto the neighbor’s property other than entry and exit.

20 minutes from Blacksburg and 35 minutes from Roanoke, our campground gives you great access to the “Triple Crown” of the Appalachian trail, consisting of McAfee Knob, Tinker Cliffs, and Dragon’s Tooth. Conquer these iconic peaks of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains for spectacular views of the surrounding wilderness. Additionally, explore Falls Ridge Nature preserve, Cascades waterfall, and Carvin’s Cove for hiking, kayaking and mountain biking.

This property deserves to be shared with others. It is peaceful and beautiful. As your Host, I am passionate about conservation and also teaching people about the medicinal uses of our local herbs. I can lead medicinal herb walks upon request for $25 a person.
I typically try to meet the campers if I can upon arrival, I am available for questions and can be hands on or off as the needs of campers suggest. I have had campers ask if I wanted to share a beverage and sit around the fire and have done so. I want to make your experience as enjoyable as possible.
I love the peacefulness the property offers, and that you’re in the middle of the wilderness but also have quick access to things in town. The river campsites are my favorite part of the property. At the main cabin I have goats and chickens which hipcampers are more than welcome to greet.

Looking for an affordable place to park your car, camper-van, or tent in Blacksburg? That's us! We are located 20 minutes from downtown Blacksburg and Virginia tech but with a country atmosphere and a view of the New River.
Our home is also home to three cats, a dog (who is fenced and quiet), chickens, and two peacocks. We would prefer you not bring an animal of your own unless it is leased at all times and well-trained.
We have a picnic table and a fire pit. We also have an electric hookup and a trash can on the front porch for your use. Our home and campsite have a river view, BUT NO river access. Please do not cross onto our neighbors' property! However, if you want to access the river, the New River Junction is .5 miles down the road and has tube rentals from late spring to early fall!
Our home is easy to find, turn from Price's Fork rd onto McCoy rd and follow it to the end (approx 7 miles). Turn right at the stop sign, and we are to the left of Big Falls in .3 miles. Our house is visible from the road and has a trampoline and chickens roaming.
Be aware, there is limited cell service and NO easily accessible bathroom. Pee jars and camp toilets welcome. You can use our toilet inside if we are home. There is also a train a couple of times a day. We think it's pretty quiet, but you be the judge! Happy camping!

Looking for an affordable place to park your car, camper-van, or tent in Blacksburg? That's us! We are located 20 minutes from downtown Blacksburg and Virginia tech but with a country atmosphere and a view of the New River.
Our home is also home to three cats, a dog (who is fenced and quiet), chickens, and two peacocks. We would prefer you not bring an animal of your own unless it is leased at all times and well-trained.
We have a picnic table and a fire pit. We also have an electric hookup and a trash can on the front porch for your use. Our home and campsite have a river view, BUT NO river access. Please do not cross onto our neighbors' property! However, if you want to access the river, the New River Junction is .5 miles down the road and has tube rentals from late spring to early fall!
Our home is easy to find, turn from Price's Fork rd onto McCoy rd and follow it to the end (approx 7 miles). Turn right at the stop sign, and we are to the left of Big Falls in .3 miles. Our house is visible from the road and has a trampoline and chickens roaming.
Be aware, there is limited cell service and NO easily accessible bathroom. Pee jars and camp toilets welcome. You can use our toilet inside if we are home. There is also a train a couple of times a day. We think it's pretty quiet, but you be the judge! Happy camping!

Located in the tranquil, natural woodlands of our historic family farm. There are 30 acres of hiking trails with remnants of what once was an 80 acre old fashioned family tobacco farm. There are plenty of level areas covered in lush grass and surrounded by trees as old as dirt! The Honeymoon Sweet provides an indoor experience. What a wonderful stay at Christine’s treehouse! She has truly thought of everything to make this the perfectly cozy and relaxing stay. It has everything you need. The place is beautifully decorated and I felt like I was in a cozy artist’s studio. Even though the nights during our stay were cold, we were very warm and comfortable inside the treehouse with the heaters doing a great job. The views of the river from the treehouse is gorgeous and being able to open both garage doors to let the fresh air in really merged the outside freshness with the indoor relaxation. Christine’s property is also super cool! She has miles of hiking trails available and has stand up paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes available to use! There were even doggie life jackets! The treehouse is also only 45 minutes from Winston-Salem and the perfect weekend getaway. This is a stay we’d absolutely love to do again! (Also, make sure to follow the directions and NOT plug the treehouse address into Google Maps because that may lead you somewhere quite different).

Weekend Trip to Riverside Campground at Seneca
Loved the space, beautiful and secluded. The host provided water, fire wood, bedding, two chairs, citronella candles, lighters, lamps, toilet paper, and a power bank for device charging. There are audible plane and train noises so if you are looking for complete silence this would not be the place however there is no car traffic noises. The campsites as a whole are in close proximity (50 ft apart max) but there was no one else staying around us this time of year so it was wonderful. There was a small wood stove in the tent however we forgot a hatchet and couldn't get small enough pieces to get it working well so highly recommend bringing your own for this purpose during cold weather. Overall a wonderful stay and weekend getaway if you don't want to go through the hassle of pitching a tent and bringing bedding.

I stayed at The Love Shack this weekend and had a wonderful experience. Wendy was a wonderful host—thoughtful, welcoming, and clearly dedicated to creating a beautiful space for her guests. She even cleared the leaves off the trail before I arrived, which made for such a lovely walk through the woods. I spotted a deer along the way which was nice.
The A-frame shelter was cozy and warm. I enjoyed the most relaxing nap in the hammock. I highly recommend!

The shack itself was more spacious than I expected, and the setting was beautiful, were very grateful that Wendy would share her beautiful land with the public! We absolutely loved this campground! I can’t say enough good things!!! In a quiet country setting it’s a perfect spot for relaxing. The campground itself is beautiful and the grounds are kept exceptionally clean and mowed… the spots are all pull thru gravel and relatively level which is always a huge plus!! We do camp with small children so we love the fact that the playground area is completely visible from all sites! We enjoyed the large community fire pit as well! Overall we had the best time at Garden of Eden and will definitely be returning soon!!

Weekend Trip to The Lee Farm
What a peaceful place to spend a weekend at! My partner, our 2 dogs, and I had such a relaxing stay at The Lee farm in the glamping tent. The cows were so fun to watch and listen to! Theresa is a wonderful host who is such a pleasure to chat with. We enjoyed exploring with our pups, laying in the hammock, and stargazing. We were grateful to have almost all the amenities we needed on site so that we didn’t have to pack too much since we visited from out of state. It was a bit chilly overnight when we stayed for a mid October trip, and the comforter in the tent was so luxuriously cozy and warm, we didn’t feel cold at all while sleeping! It was nice to have a real bed instead of our camping pads for once. Glamping at its finest!

The spot was even more beautiful than the pictures. Dave was helpful and great to talk to - he gave us the scoop on some plants on the property. We spent an evening cooking on the fire pit, snuggling the dog visitors, listening to the river trickle, and playing music. We were the only folks at the campground making it super private and peaceful. The bell tent was easy, spacious, and super comfy without being too fancy. As we went to sleep we heard a romantic train in the distance. Gratitude for sharing the space.
