My husband and I tent camped on this property and it was beautiful. There's a little creek next to a flat area with firepit and picnic table. It felt very private and there was tons of wildlife. We went to Fairystone Park which wasn't super far. We'll definitely be back in the fall.
We had a wonderful one night stay here. The spit is super private and next to a creek. We made a fire and had some smores with supplies gifted from the camp hosts! Would definitely recommend for an off grid stay.

We had a great time camping at Kevin's property. Our dog loved running around the open field. Kevin was a wonderful host and surprised us with marshmallows and crackers, which was such a thoughtful gesture. We'd definitely stay here again!
We had such a wonderful stay here! If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful campsite where you can truly relax, this is it. The site is spacious, with plenty of room for our car and tents, and it's tucked along the edge of the woods, providing welcome shade during the summer heat.
One of our favorite parts was falling asleep to the sound of the trickling creek. The campsite has everything you need, including a picnic table and fire ring, and the owner went above and beyond by bringing us dry firewood and even supplies for s'mores—a thoughtful touch that made us feel so welcome.
The location is also fantastic, just a short drive from Fairy Stone State Park, where we enjoyed beautiful hikes, swimming in the lake, and searching for fairy stones. Wildlife lovers will appreciate all the birds and animals around the campsite—we spotted wild turkeys (with two babies!), bats at dusk, and even a kingfisher along the creek.
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful camping getaway with a great host!

Always a great stay! We truly appreciate being able to have our dogs off leash here, there's plenty of open land for them to play and explore safely. It's the peaceful weekend getaway that we keep returning to, and we'll definitely be back again!

A great peaceful campsite! Whole place to yourself and the host is really nice! We booked it last minute as an instant book and it was all mowed and ready already. The creek is cute and we got to hear a lot of wildlife. We will be back for sure and recommend it to families or individuals that want a night or two of peace.

Camping here was great. Lots of wildlife. They were very kind hosts.
Although it was extremely hot, I had a blast! Cooking hotdogs over the fire, to playing in the creek. It was backed in a cozy corner where there was no one to bother us. We were able to see stars as night and plenty of lightning bugs. We will most definitely be back!

Wonderful little spot with creek nearby. You can fall asleep, listening to the running water, enjoy the beautiful trees, and surrounding landscape. Wonderful little oasis really enjoyed my stay. Had an unexpected burst of rain in the morning had to pack up quicker than I wanted. Would recommend and plan to stay again.
It was such a pleasure again to stay at the Waller farm. Complete peace and quiet with only the occasional cow's moo to break up the quiet.
If you are looking to be all on your own, this place is a gem.

Despite illness making me leave early, I was very impressed with the site.
My 2WD van made it with no issue. The area was well kept and clean. It was silent without another soul in sight. The only sound being the nearby creek.
Kevin so kindly left me a box of smores supplies and some firewood. Wish I could have used them.
I will be rebooking this site soon after I am well so I can really enjoy myself!
I enjoyed camping at this site. Only one secluded site on the edge of a creek and hayfield. Wifi available only 5 to 10 minutes to thier family homestead that is not occupied. Beautiful area. Would stay again. Firewood provided.
Kevin’s spot is just what we were looking for, quiet and secluded. Easy directions and easy to get in and out. Such a peaceful spot to enjoy being outside with the dogs. Definitely recommend.
Another wonderful stay at Kevin’s lovely property. Great star show, as usual, combined with Kevin’s attention to making sure the meadow is mowed, that there is sufficient firewood, & that the s’mores kit is awaiting your arrival.

We had planned to visit some of the nearby parks and towns but found ourselves planted at the campsite for 3 lovely days. After a few stressful weeks it was the perfect therapy! Clear skies and cool enough for campfires. Watched wild turkeys foraging in the meadow. When the day warmed up we sat in the shade by the creek. Picnic table, fire pit, firewood and a S'mores kit. All at a great price. Can't ask for more. While there was no cell service at the site we were able to send/receive txts and emails. The creek banks are a bit steep and a little tricky but we were able to collect buckets of water for washing and fire dousing. Kevin was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. Next trip we will get out and explore the area! Or not.
We enjoyed camping on Kevin's land. He was a great host and came to check in on us to make sure we didn't need anything. Firewood was provided along with a list of nearby places to visit. Would go again!
This was our second time camping here. Quiet location with ample space. It's back in a field bordering a stream. It's on a farm with cows. There is access to a small fishing pond. There is a picnic table and fire pit as well as a oil lamp at camp. The host provides wood, a generous amount and stuff for s'mores. There are trash cans behind the farmhouse across the road for your trash. Would always recommend this spot.

Loved camping on Kevins land! It was quiet and secluded and I felt very safe. Kevin was great and getting to the campsite was a breeze. I would definitely recommend his camp and will be staying here again next time I'm in the area!
This was our second time camping on Kevin's land. It is a beautiful, bucolic setting, & Kevin does everytihing to make sure your stay is stellar, including keeping the meadow mowed, leaving cut wood for multiple campfires, & a s'mores kit. The star show is spectacular!

Creek Side Campsite
This was such a lovely place to camp! We enjoyed the big field and the stream, it felt very secluded and safe. There was a firestarter waiting in the fire pit and ample firewood so starting and maintaining a fire was a breeze. There was a picnic table and a tiki torch that helped with keeping the area well-lit at night. A group of deer greeted us in the morning. Will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area!
Kevin is a wonderful host! The site is tucked into the corner of a big field right along a trickling creek with nice shade. I stayed a whole week and loved every minute of it!
Great directions and easy to find. Well maintained. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful- he left us a s’mores kit! Unfortunately we didn’t have an opportunity to make them but it was a very nice gesture. There was a fire pit and picnic table to use, plus firewood. We were just parking our campervan here to sleep for the night so didn’t use the offered amenities but for people spending more time it’d be great. Lots of privacy - our only visitor was a black and white cat in the morning 🙂 we had a great nights sleep. There was minimal to no cell phone service as an FYI but the host did offer his WiFi and password!
We had a wonderful time camping. We stayed 3 nights. It was very quiet and peaceful. We watched the sunrise over the trees and the birds sang us songs. The kids loved to explore-they played in the creek and ran up and down the hills and through the grass. We loved chatting with Kevin. He told us about Fairy Stone State Park and we decided to check it out. That ended up being one of our favorite adventures! So grateful for the suggestion! Then the s’mores kit was perfect and we thought that was very thoughtful-he even went out of his way to bring us dry firewood because it had been raining, which made it so nice. Honestly- we couldn’t have been more pleased with our host and the location. It was about 10-15 minutes from town, and about 30 minutes from 2 state parks and the blue ridge parkway. We will definitely be back:) my kids asked if we could stay 3 more days….they didn’t want to leave:) thanks for sharing your beautiful land!
This was an awesome property! Set back in a beautiful field by a small creek, it provides great privacy and a serene setting. We got in late on a rainy night, but Kevin still stopped by to check on us and chat for a couple minutes. He was very helpful with information and super nice. There is no cell service in the area, but the nearby farmhouse has wifi that Kevin will provide the info for. We had a beautiful morning in the field after the weather cleared. I highly recommend this spot and we'll very likely be back in nicer weather!
