Renee’s spot was a perfect place to spend a beautiful fall weekend! Pretty secluded at the end of a gravel road with few cars. Lots of wildlife to see, and a good spot to put in for kayaking, floating, etc. Thank you!

Amazing location! Beautiful, peaceful and private. Perfect sound of the water flowing over the rocks easily helped us fall asleep. We stayed at site #3 by the River. I would recommend backing down the lane. There’s no turnaround area for full size trucks. Ours is Chevrolet 2500 HD. There’s a slight hill to walk down to camp, no problem for us (maybe 15-20 ft),. Tacoma or 4Runner wouldn’t have a problem in 4WD going down the hill to level site. Our host was very accommodating. We will definitely come back!

We stayed at campsite #3, it's secluded and tucked away. Most of the site has a slope as it is on a hill but it had good river access with easily wadable water

Water access. Very cool old dam feature. Felt private. Was off a what seemed to be private gravel road. Host was quick to respond and super welcoming and helpful!

A magical riverfront experience

The route getting to the property is through some amazingly scenic rural roads of Floyd county. The river that the property is on is wonderful, it was not a raging wide river, it is however a good sized river and her site #2 that we stayed at was an incredible riverfront site. The site itself on the river is somewhat small, and it is adjacent to (and at the end of) a state maintained gravel road, but once we were set up any traffic that would come by (one pickup rode by a couple times going to / from the farm at the end of the road) was nothing compared to what you'd have at a campground. There is a fire pit where we enjoyed a terrific campfire with lots of riverwood / drift wood to feed the fire for several hours. The sound of the river was peaceful and calming to fall asleep to and to wake up beside in the morning and that was the magic.

We had an amazing stay at Renee’s campsite! The location was perfect — right next to the water with beautiful views and the relaxing sounds of nature all around. It was the perfect getaway, and even better that we could bring our pet along to enjoy it with us. The site was peaceful, well-maintained, and exactly what we were hoping for. Would absolutely recommend and can’t wait to come back!

The site location was nice. The distance off the paved road in an RV was difficult. Narrow road and numerous branches scratching the sides and top of the RV.

This was a wonderful remote spot that I still felt entirely comfortable in solo with my two kids. Beautiful flat spot for a tent and endless Little River and Sowers Mill Dam fun. Would definitely go again!!!

Great spot for private river access. Felt safe and secluded down by river. Only a couple cars passing all wknd. Host communicated well and all went smoothly. Would love to go back, definitely a sweet spot.

We loved the camping at Renee’s site! With sites right by the river, the gentle sound of water was an amazing backdrop to our experience. Highlights of her spot include a great river access to launch tubes, kayaks or just to play, a dam wide enough to set lawn chairs on for stargazing, and ample room at the campsite for a nice primate setup! We can’t wait to get back again!

The site was big and fairly level. I enjoyed the sandy area where I set up my tent, it made sleeping at night a bit softer. Having access to a rake would have been even better, as I could have smoothed out the sand for a perfect camping spot. There was a nice swimming hole and convenient access for launching canoes or kayaks onto the water.

It is a very serene and peaceful campsite. We took our 25 foot sprinter van and our 6 foot hauler.
Beautiful area would recommend you bring your levelers for RV”ers, sand can be a bit soft for big ones, our sprinter van did oka’ish but it’s best to stay on the gravelly part of the site.
I’ve been to several Hipcamp and this has been one of my favorites because of the space and privacy you get it’s a small road to get there not very traveled. Would ask the owner for upfront directions we ended up at her house somehow from the Hipcamp app, so maybe a small bug to work out there. Renee was very communicative and helpful , she kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed really appreciated the southern hospitality !

Beautiful areas! Flat camping spot with good room for campfire, line for hanging wet items, easy swimming area access, close hiking and kayaking access by road and kayak right to your campsite!! Large area to cook.

Renee's property is easy to find, quiet and off of a private drive that has very very little traffic. Plenty of space to spread out. We had a group of 6 people and didn't even come close to feeling like we were on top of each other. Being so close to the river provided some great white noise around camp. Very clean and maintained site. Renee answered all my questions and last minute change (sorry again Renee) and was overall very pleasant to deal with. Would definitely recommend staying here 🤙🏻

Absolutely stunning location. Very peaceful. Host was very responsive. A couple of words of caution: for those of you who are tall (motorhomes, 5th wheels), there alot of overhanging branches on the way in that you will hit. The site looks a little bit lumpy and grassy, even a bit soft, but we did not get stuck with our 37' motorhome.

This was our first Hipcamp experience & we loved it. The day we got there, it was raining. We were nervous about soft ground & leveling, but it was fine. The view was amazing. It was so peaceful. Renee was great to communicate with. Can’t wait to cone back with our kayaks.

Renee's property was very nice next to the dam. The river flowing at night is very tranquil. My dog loved walking around, but be aware that there are other dogs walking off lead around the area. Had a bit of a tussle with one. The nearest bathroom is far away so be sure to bring your own method of dealing with that!
