This is an active 55-acre horse farm. About 2/3rds of the property is developed with barns and fenced pastures and the other third is largely undeveloped areas with a loop driveway where most of the camp sites are located. There is a large white house at the far end of the property. The restroom for campers to use is located there. To one side of the driveway, on the way to the house there is a beautiful large swimming pond, complete with beach and gazebo.
The property is unique in that you can hardly see another house from anywhere on the property and yet we are only 2 miles from Barracks Rd. Shopping Center, and 4 miles from the University of Virginia.

Welcome to our small Farm, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Madison County, Virginia. Located just minutes from Shenandoah National Park, we offer intimate nature-inspired cottages and camping on our 120-acre working farm. Enjoy an evening under the stars with fireflies and a campfire after a long day hike, fly fishing on one of our beautiful trout steams or touring the local vineyards and breweries.
We currently offer one cottage, glamping and a few campsites for our guests. Our campsites are all private, located acres apart with tables, chairs, firepits, some elevated sleeping areas, some hammock spots and a few with a roof. Three of our spots require walking away from your vehicle, short distances. We have four drive-in sites that will accommodate two or three vehicles. We do not allow RVs or trailers on our main farm due to our narrow mountain driveway. Wisteria Camp has a private driveway, it can accommodate small RV/Trailers. Camper vans are welcome at the main farm!
Our farm store includes our Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy, as well as produce, jams, coffee and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours.
The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries.

Crooked Mountain is a family and Veteran-owned farm, campground, camp store, and small event venue located just ½ mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway at Mile Marker 159 near Floyd, Virginia.
We designed Crooked Mountain to be a unique basecamp for travelers exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains, especially those traveling by van, car, motorcycle, bicycle, or with small RVs. With easy access from the Parkway and scenic mountain roads nearby, it’s a great stop for road trippers, vanlifers, and anyone on two wheels exploring Southwest Virginia.
The campground currently offers 15 campsites across the farm:
• 7 sites on Pine Creek (Sites 1 & 12 have electric)
• 5 field campsites with open views of the surrounding hills
• 3 field sites with electric near the pond (Sites 13–15)
Electric sites provide 30/20 amp power only. There are no water or sewer hookups at campsites.
Guests can enjoy the natural setting of the property and access our hiking trail, fishing pond (catch n release for a fee) and other amenities on the farm while staying here.
Our camp store offers tourism information about Floyd and the surrounding area (including local motorcycle/bicycle maps and routes, along with artisan goods, camping essentials (things you may have forgotten), snacks, drinks, coffee, ice, firewood and more.
During the summer months we also open our fields for a You-Pick flower experience, where guests can purchase a container and create their own bouquet. Flower season typically runs July through September.

The Guinea farm is 18 acres of field and forest on the rural middle peninsula. Only 1 mile from 2 separate secluded dog friendly beaches and a boat launch. There is very little traffic or light pollution here, nature is at your fingertips.
Come visit the farm and experience agritourism at it's finest. Pick your own veggies in the community garden and meet the Guinea fowl! Enjoy the wilderness and learn about the local ecosystem here on the middle peninsula.
There are 3 sites spaced out across the 18 acres set apart for privacy. Wisteria Treehouse site closer to the entrance gate. Trilogy Micro Cabinz is in the pines 700' beyond that and separated by dense forest. Stargazer Tiny cabin is an off grid rustic camping cabin on the back side of the property.
Each site is surrounded by several acres of forest and close to the edge of a large field. There are roaming guinea fowl that may come make a very loud appearance as they canvas the property eating bugs. Deer, Turkeys, Bald Eagles, foxes, and other wildlife are common guests also. Mid-summer is what I call frog season, Tree frogs are abundant and provide a wonderful soundtrack.
There is an axe throwing board and cornhole boards available.
4 miles from shopping and dining in Mathews Virginia, 15 miles to Gwynn Island. Gwynn's Island is an island located in the Chesapeake Bay off of Virginia's Middle Peninsula. The island is located in the northeast part of Mathews County, south of the mouth of the Piankatank River. It is connected to the rest of the county by a swing bridge over Milford Haven.

We are AUTISM Friendly 💙,so if you have a camper that needs a little more encouragement about camping or other accommodations please let your host know. You are welcomed to bring your furry family members, bikes and kayaks. There is no swimming in the pond. It was built for fishing so it’s not safe to swim due to structures under the water for the fish.
We are only 30 minutes from Carter’s Mountain, Monticello and Jefferson Winery’s. Thistle Gate Winery is only 5 minutes away and 20 minutes to Scottsville were you can enjoy the James River. UVA sports complex is only 30 minutes away and you’re able to go the back way in to skip the gridlock of the traffic.

The recreational draw to this area is hard to beat in VA, and this property has it all for an amazing outdoor weekend! The ranch comprises 40 acres of lowland acreage designated for the camp, including a 5-acre lake.
The Cedar Grove sites 1, 2, and 3 are along the banks of Passage Creek located within a sparse, groomed Cedar grove. They are all a short walk (or drive) to the lake and beach amenities. Each site has varying access to the creek, so check out the site details. These sites are extra large and can accommodate multiple family groups, as well as, travel trailers of all sizes up to off-road motorcoaches in site 1. There are no hookups, so just boondocking. Pack it in, Pack it out. Generators are allowed but please be aware of the other sites and direct the noise away.
The Lakeside Mountain Stream site is very secluded, nestled between the mountains and the lake. It overlooks our 5-acre lake with mountain views in the background. It's on the opposite side of the lake from the Cedar Sites. This site has its own dock and is just a short walk down a mowed trail to a beautiful section of Passage Creek. An additional seasonal mountain stream can cascade behind the site and run under it to feed the lake when the conditions are right. It's a delicate site, so the accommodations and group size is strictly limited.

Locally, the North end of Fort Valley offers many great hiking trails, trout fishing, rock climbing, horseback riding, and the Elizabeth Furnace day-use park. Pricing is $40 for four guests and $10 for each additional guest, per night. Children under twelve are free but we do require that you book the correct number of over twelve year old guests when you make your reservation.

Peace Hill Farm is a working family farm with home-produced meat, crops, and wool: we raise Angora goats, Leicester Longwool and Merino sheep, miniature Holstein cows, draft horses, Mangalitsa pigs, ducks, and chickens.
We sell raw fleeces, rovings, and a whole range of colorful farm-produced yarns. In the summer, we have pick-your-own orchard fruits. Our farm store carries a full range of farm products plus selected arts and crafts made by local artisans. We offer afternoon teas and dinners along with a full range of hand-selected wines. Farm tours run year-round.

I stayed about 2 weeks, I liked it so much. Chris is very good at staying in touch and quick to reply. The creek is amazing and so are the eggs.

I booked 2 nights at site 2 for my girlfriend's birthday this year as a surprise! The site and property were beautiful! The site was secluded and private. The loud sound of the water breaking across a fallen log right off the bank of the site was absolutely incredible and made it so easy to fall asleep. The river access looks very steep at first but there's a rope to help and once you start gping down it actually isnt bad at all! Our 3 dogs had just as much fun as we did! Did a little fishing a caught quite a few sun fish and chubb! Customer service from Graham was great and we cant wait ti visit again!

It would be better if we liked fishing. But the camp site was clean. And we really enjoyed the goats wandering around. We arrived on Friday had plans for Saturday. We were going to go swimming and kayaking on Sunday but thunderstorms stopped us. I would stay again.

I swear while I’m away from this place, I convince myself that its amazingness MUST be exaggerated in my mind but then we get to the property and it ends up being better than I remember. Absolutely dreamy, even with the wildfire haze and record heat! We’ll be back next year for sure!

A very great campsite that is close to civilization yet you feel far away. A somewhat close drive to Shenandoah national park. The pond is great for fishing, caught a couple of bass and bluegill.

I had my camper there for a few weekends for a class I was taking in the area. The owners were great. Nice, genuine good people. The sites were nice and looked to accommodate rigs or tents of all sizes. It was quiet and peaceful. Great place to recharge and just get away.

Central Virginia

Appalachian & Blue Ridge Mountains
The rugged Appalachian Mountains fringe Virginia’s southwestern borders, merging into the wooded slopes of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
