This is one of our favorite HipCamps we’ve been to! Even though there are multiple sites in the property, they’ve spaced them out so well (at least 1/2 a mile from each other) so it feels totally private and peaceful. Our site was right next to the river in a big field, and it gave us the best of both worlds with both trees and open sky. There’s a nice little nature trail on the property that led to a wildlife center, which was a fun daytime activity. The waterfall and creek were also super neat to walk to and see. Next time, we will definitely pack our fishing pole and supplies for even more onsite activities.
Steve was super kind and responsive, highly recommend this stay!

One of the best campsites me and my friends have stayed in, the view was great, SO BEAUTIFUL!! The site was clean and organized, water was avaliable as well and the portable potty was very clean. Host was welcoming and helpful. We want to go back :)

This is a beautiful, secluded camp site that is well maintained, would absolutely stay again!
Steve made me feel so welcomed at his property! He greeted me and we went inside to pick up some food from the freezer. I would highly consider picking up some beef bacon. It was amazing! I had to leave early and Steve checked in on me to make sure everything was okay. I felt incredibly safe at his property! My dog had a great time being off leash, making in the waterfall, and looking out at the river.
Great spot! Tons of room and gorgeous site right on the water. The kids and dogs loved the area! Steve serviced the porta john and had everything for standard campsite you’d need. Would recommend to anyone

Hill Top Heaven
This was our first ever Hipcamp experience and it blew us away. The property is gorgeous and we were the only people there. There is so much space to pitch any type of tent. We appreciated having the on-site porta potty which had just been cleaned. The river access was awesome, and the river was perfect for wading. We did have a little hiccup with the firewood we ordered, but Steve rectified it later in the evening.
Just a note for those using Google maps, the right turn going towards the property is a little funky, it tells you to go further than you actually should and we had to turn around. Maybe it was just my service, so I would recommend you download the map of the area before heading there in case you don't have much service.
We absolutely loved this site, and so did our dog. We will be back!
The river farm is a beautiful farm with gorgeous views of the Shenandoah River. Steve was an excellent host who welcomed us and checked on us throughout our stay. I would highly recommend the river farm for your camping needs. We will definitely be going back.

Absolutely loved camping here with my family and dogs. There's about a mile (I believe) between each site, you can't even see the other sites, so even if there were other people I wouldn't have been concerned about my dogs at all which is a big deal for us. The lake is right in front of the sites, and the waterfall is to the left when facing the river. At the hilltop and RV site, the cows are close by, but they weren't a bother at all. They were very fun to look at and listen to. The host sells beef out of his barn, the meat sticks and steakon were great, haven't had the chance to try the filet yet! Overall, great experience, very laid back
Couldn’t have been happier with our stay! The farm was gorgeous, private, and well maintained, right on the river. We had a group of 8 and everyone agreed that this was the best Hipcamp they’ve been to in the DMV area. Host was accommodating and responsive. Will definitely book again!

I enjoyed my time on Steve's land. He was very friendly and the space was what I expected. Next time I consider camping in the area Steve's land will definitely be highly considered

I loved tent camping on Steve's land. The views were beautiful. We kayaked from Berry's Ferry right to the site. Then we walked to the waterfall. My dog loved it as well. Thanks so much! We will be back.

This was our groups third time returning and we’ll definitely be back again!
This was a return trip for us. It was just as relaxing and beautiful as the first time. This area is truly special for bird watchers, you will see dozens of species. We tubed, swam in the falls, and enjoyed our stay very much!

What an awesome site! Steve was immediately responsive every time we reached out, and he was an excellent host. We toured the land and had a great time camping. We will DEFINITELY be back!
This was a perfect camp site!! Went with my family & took our two dogs. The dogs had a blast, plenty of space while still having some fencing around to keep them from being too crazy. It was private and the stars were great. Host was wonderful, everything was easy to find, and the bathroom was clean.
It was daddy long legs galore but personally if i had to pick one bug to see a bunch it would be them. Harmless and on items more than people. Overall a great trip!!

We loved camping by the river! We had a truck tent and were able to pull up right to the site. The farm and river views were gorgeous! Saw many deer and even a few eagles flying over the river. There was a very clean porta potty at our site, a picnic table, and fire ring. We brought our dog that LOVED to explore the land. Steve was very nice and responsive. We would definitely go back!
