The Ranch is our place we like to go when we need to get away. It's raw and it's nice land to camp, explore and enjoy wildlife. We have a Wildlife Exemption on the property and enjoy managing native song birds. We keep a constant flow of bird seed located in feeders around the ranch, and we have seen all kinds of birds making this a great place for birders. The ranch has nice elevation changes with a wet weather creek that traverses the property. There are some trails to hike or mountain bike. The cabin is rustic without plumbing or electricity, but we enjoy it and it's fun to think it's everything we would need. This is off-grid living all the way, and we are constantly learning new and better ways to do things. The cabin is located on the very first spot we pitched a tent after purchasing the land, and we continue to make improvements as we go. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Stewart Cove is perfect for people who are looking to unplug from the outside world and reconnect with their families and nature. The property is perfect for child-friendly adventures or romantic getaways. Enjoy this peaceful lake view surrounded by beautiful pine trees. The Property: - Secluded lake cabins on Houston County Lake. 2-acre property - Panoramic windows of Houston County Lake from the living room - Deck with an incredible view and surrounded by beautiful pine trees - City water and electric Things to do: - We have a Covered Pavilion with a basketball hoop and pickleball court - 60-foot waterside from the large hill into the lake (Weather permitting) - Swimming in the lake - Fishing in the lake - Bird watching (We have eagles, blue herrings, pelicans, etc.) - Several kayaks with adult and child lifejackets free to use - Cement deck near the lake with cafe lights - BBQ pit, bench swing, and picnic tables - Sandbox for kids - The fire pit is great for smores - You can pull your boat right up to the shore Other Things to note: - The owner's primary residence is two lots over and private. The last 5 miles of the drive are on a "Red Dirt Road" and it can be bumpy or even slippery if it's rained recently. I've never heard of any issues in any vehicles but it's a county road. You will leave with red dirt on your vehicle but that's part of the appeal, the secluded getaway :) Once you start down the driveway you'll see the lake through the trees, making the rough 5-mile ride worth it.

Julia's cottage was a perfect little home for our vacation week. Everything you need is provided ( linens, cookware, dishes , coffee machine and pods) it was very peaceful. Mike and Vicky were very responsive via text. So much better than a hotel room. My wife and I will be back in the future and would highly recommend.

Nice little cabin. Host was very accommodating. Outdoor shower was actually pretty cool. Its only 2 miles from Hidden Falls so a great alternative. There is also a river side park about a mile down the same street that is a very nice hangout spot.

Absolutely loved this spot. It was incredibly private and peaceful, with amazing views in every direction. The friendly animals made the stay even more memorable. At night, the stars were unbelievable, you can even see the Milky Way. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I loved these cabins in Cleveland, TX. I wanted to a place to stay to visit the Sam Houston National Forest. I am not an experienced camper so these cabins were perfect for my fiance', dogs, and I! The cabins were very clean and comfortable to stay in. George was a great host, with great communication and accommodating. My favorite features of the cabins were the fireplace (he even had wood ready and conveniently placed next to the pit) and the projector. Would love to visit again!

We loved our stay at the Hideaway! The cabin is quaint but very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for us to cook breakfast and dinner every night. We enjoyed the hot tub, star gazing and had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The land was beautiful! We saw hummingbirds, turkeys and lots of deer. It is the perfect place to stay when enjoying the area.

We stayed at Seco Ridge Campground with family and friends and had such a great time. It’s a super quiet place, and literally they had everything we needed over there. Weekend Trip to Circle C CampGrounds

My husband and I made reservations for two nights. It was my dog‘s first experience to go overnight with us. We enjoyed the Cabin so much we stayed a third night. We have been wanting to go to the Lone star Trail for years. My husband has wonderful memories of taking Boy Scouts on the trail many years ago. I had never gone before. The campsite is located between TH3 and TH4 so it was a perfect location. The Cozy cabin is designed with attention to detail and love by TERRY, Camp host and owner. The tent campsites are nicely arranged close to one of the two stocked ponds. There is a great community shelter with a shower stall and sink, picnic table and barbecue facilities. Terry is very nice and made sure we didn’t need anything. We couldn’t have asked for a greater 3 day stay and will be back. I hope you will also.

Great little spot for just a weekend! Host were very friendly and accommodating. There was 9 of us in the cabin, and 3 of them were teenage boys! You might want to bring an extra fan or 2 for the bunk bed room. Bring games to play for indoors and outdoors.
