The Ranch is our place we like to go when we need to get away. It's raw and it's nice land to camp, explore and enjoy wildlife. We have a Wildlife Exemption on the property and enjoy managing native song birds. We keep a constant flow of bird seed located in feeders around the ranch, and we have seen all kinds of birds making this a great place for birders. The ranch has nice elevation changes with a wet weather creek that traverses the property. There are some trails to hike or mountain bike. The cabin is rustic without plumbing or electricity, but we enjoy it and it's fun to think it's everything we would need. This is off-grid living all the way, and we are constantly learning new and better ways to do things. The cabin is located on the very first spot we pitched a tent after purchasing the land, and we continue to make improvements as we go. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

The sleeping area is located in a loft accessible via outdoor stairs or an indoor ladder. One side of the ceiling is low, while the other side is approximately 6 feet high. Although the space inside the tiny home is limited, the deck provides ample room for relaxation and enjoyment. Guests are also welcome to explore the entire fenced property. Downstairs, you'll find a cozy TV area adjacent to a compact yet fully equipped kitchen featuring a full-size refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, and even an air fryer. A full-size bed downstairs can accommodate two additional guests, and a futon is available for one extra guest. Please note: Two additional cabins are located on the property and are also available for rent. Minor construction activity may still be present in some areas. If raining, reads will get muddy and a 4x4 might be needed.

As a young girl, I read "Little House in the Big Woods" by Laura Ingalls Wilder. That book opened my eyes to a different way of living. From that moment on, I dreamed of one day living in big woods somewhere. As an adult, some of those dreams are coming true! We have Casita in the hills in Hill Country Texas! We are a small, beginner homestead and we'd love to share this journey with YOU! Donkeys and deer roam most of the property. We also are raising chickens, ducks, rabbits, a few pet goats and bees. We have camping spots, (2) rv electric hook ups and a small cabin to sleep in. Our property is on 14 acres. We have open pastures and forested areas. Whether you are seeking to escape the city hustle and bustle, or want a small taste of the homestead life, this is a great place to be! We are located about 35 minutes from San Antonio, 25 minutes from Boerne and 15 minutes from the Cowboy Capital of the World, Bandera, TX! We do have a visible neighboring property. Therefore there is the occasional barking, lights, and music that can be heard/seen. We hope you choose to stay here and enjoy your stay!

Julia's cottage was a perfect little home for our vacation week. Everything you need is provided ( linens, cookware, dishes , coffee machine and pods) it was very peaceful. Mike and Vicky were very responsive via text. So much better than a hotel room. My wife and I will be back in the future and would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this spot. It was incredibly private and peaceful, with amazing views in every direction. The friendly animals made the stay even more memorable. At night, the stars were unbelievable, you can even see the Milky Way. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Beautiful area and property! House had everything we needed, kids loved the house and loft. We enjoyed walking the trails behind the house and being surrounded by the beautiful hills. Weekend Trip to La Finca Cabin-10 acres with goats!

The location was great, my kids enjoyed feeding the goats. They were not aggressive so that made it super easy for my kids to entertain themselves, with supervision of course. The cabin was cutely decorated and spacious enough for 3 rowdy kids and 2 adults. The porch had a good view and the hammocks were comfortable. No internet issues while there. Mr. Rafael was very responsive and helpful. We got great use of all the supplied equipment in the kitchen. The host did a great job of making sure we had everything we needed, (bug spray, seasonings, flashlight, first aid kid). Our family will definitely be coming back again, thank you for the relaxing weekend out of the city!

We loved our stay at the Hideaway! The cabin is quaint but very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for us to cook breakfast and dinner every night. We enjoyed the hot tub, star gazing and had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The land was beautiful! We saw hummingbirds, turkeys and lots of deer. It is the perfect place to stay when enjoying the area.

We stayed at Seco Ridge Campground with family and friends and had such a great time. It’s a super quiet place, and literally they had everything we needed over there. Time by time we kept finding new things to explore, which made the trip so much fun. It is really comfortable, and perfect spot to just relax and hang out. We're definitely coming back again. My husband and I made reservations for two nights. It was my dog‘s first experience to go overnight with us. We enjoyed the Cabin so much we stayed a third night. We have been wanting to go to the Lone star Trail for years. My husband has wonderful memories of taking Boy Scouts on the trail many years ago. I had never gone before. The campsite is located between TH3 and TH4 so it was a perfect location. The Cozy cabin is designed with attention to detail and love by TERRY, Camp host and owner. The tent campsites are nicely arranged close to one of the two stocked ponds. There is a great community shelter with a shower stall and sink, picnic table and barbecue facilities. Terry is very nice and made sure we didn’t need anything. We couldn’t have asked for a greater 3 day stay and will be back. I hope you will also.

Great little spot for just a weekend! Host were very friendly and accommodating. There was 9 of us in the cabin, and 3 of them were teenage boys! You might want to bring an extra fan or 2 for the bunk bed room. Bring games to play for indoors and outdoors.

My two sons, dog, and I stayed in The Bunkhaus and had a really wonderful time. Our family has been going through some rough times and I was looking for a place where we could spend time together and find peace. It was a bonus that we could bring our 16-month old rescue dog with us as he is our first dog and very spoiled. He was a little over protective but everyone we met was very kind about it. The property was exactly what we needed - far away from city life but also with the amenities to make it an easy place to go and unwind. Also, having Garner and Lost Maples (two very dog friendly spots) nearby was so convenient. We were delighted to be able to swim and hike with our pup. All of us agreed that this was a great trip and that we want to come back to The Bunkhaus. Thank you to Woody and his family for their hospitality and kindness to my family.

Weekend Trip to Dinosaur Valley RV Park

The cabin was very clean and well appointed. All of the basics including linens were provided. This is a large RV resort with an adult pool and a family pool, which is nice. It is directly across the street from dinosaur world, a walk-through dinosaur park with over 75 life-size dinosaur replicas. The state park allows you to view real dinosaur footprints, along with swimming, biking, hiking opportunities. Very close to Glen Rose for supplies. Fossil rim, a drive-through nature zoo, is minutes away. Definitely kid and family friendly RV park.

This place was wonderful! So cute and comfortable with lots of amenities on site. The star-gazing is insane here! We also enjoyed the sauna and a dip in the cowboy pool. Close to fun attractions for outdoor adventures. Great coffee in town at Central Provisions in Center Point. We'd love to come back sometime!
