This property:
Cozy lakeside cottage that sleeps two, with level lawn space nearby that will fit two additional tents in your group. Dedicated private space is in lower level backyard with access to dock* (*May -September), lake and wildlife wetlands with boardwalk. You'll see the setting sun from the end of the dock and have access to a paver patio firepit. Private 3/4 bath and comfortable TV room is 60 steps away in the house. Mostly private spaces with some shared spaces such as driveway, hallways, sometimes we cross paths in the yard. Mystic Lake Casino, Canterbury Downs, Renaissance fest, Valleyfair, & many other area lakes besides the 600 acre all sports lake that the property is located on are in the immediate area. For location purposes, we are located 3.7 miles of the Prior Lake, MN McDonald's.
The price per night includes up to two campers inside or outside of the
cottage, but up to two additional campers and tents can be added to the reservation for $20 per person/ per night.
A limit of two persons inside of the cottage and four persons total are allowed per reservation.
All persons must be declared ahead of reserving the space and ID’d for insurance purposes. Please note that all persons on the reservation must submit a copy of their valid picture government ID to the host (via platform) prior to arrival (but
after booking), and sign a property liability waiver upon check in.
The host will discuss the procedure with you as HC supports pictures only after booking.
Please ask prior to booking if you have any questions about this- this is a requirement of our short term rental insurance, and part of our self check in procedure.
We are a non smoking, non vape, no party/no unregistered guest, owner occupied property. No children and quiet people only please.

Don't worry, you won't be driving in it!
We are offering the opportunity to stay on the back hill of our ten-acre rural property. You can go for walks around the pasture on our mowed trail or just sit and enjoy the beautiful Minnesota views.
The site is on a gravel road and you cannot see our house from where the bus is parked. While you can see the neighbor's house, it is still very dark at night and excellent for stargazing.
The bus will be disabled for guests; it will not start or move. While there are electric fans, AC, and a TV with DVD player, there is no electricity available (bring your own generator if you want).
There is a cassette toilet with instructions.

We had an incredibly good time! The property is beautiful. We were camped under a grove of trees and surrounded by farm fields. The surroundings were great because it kept a steady wind blowing through our site, which kept us nice and cool and free of bugs. It also gave us an amazing view of the area including a spectacular sunset.
Camping next to the goats was so much fun, I had no idea how much I'd love them! A couple of them are little escape artists and liked to wander over to our site which gave our dog some entertainment. He had an absolute blast as well, seeing a bunch of animals that he'd never seen before and being able to interact with them was a lot of fun for all of us. He's an elderly guy so these special moments mean the world to us.
Our hosts were awesome and I'm very grateful to them. They are so friendly and I loved BSing with them, learning about the animals, helping to wrangle and herd the goats, talking about music festivals, etc. Just had so much fun for the whole time we were there. I can't thank you two enough for the perfect little getaway.
I'm really happy we found this gem and can't wait to go back. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone! 10/10

We had a peaceful weekend away, no pressures of the outside world and close to Redwood falls and Fort Ridgley state park
I love the noise and atmosphere of a traditional campground but this was more of a soul break, quiet secluded space
I do recommend being an animal lover tho! The roosters, chickens, goats, geese horse and donkey oh and cats and dogs will check in on you, but it was a slice of joy you dont het at a traditional campground

It was the first weekend in April so it was cold and snowy. The campsites are well situated so they drain well. The beautiful trees, even without their leaves protected us from the wind. Two cats were running around and mostly kept their distance, we did find paw prints on my daughter’s air mattress when she woke up, she loved it.
We enjoyed the Pygmy goats, regular goats, and loved the wooly pig. We enjoyed time hiking through the woods and flying kites next to the corn field. The bathroom is in the basement
of the house with its own entrance and complete privacy. It was great. Travis met us when we arrived and showed us the property. He asked
Us what we needed and made sure we were taken care of. He was reachable if we needed anything, and gave us complete privacy. We bought a dozen eggs, and they were fantastic. My daughters were blown away by how good fresh eggs are. The whole atmosphere of a farm with old equipment and buildings was great. Property is very well kept. There are tons of open places to stand and enjoy the beautiful stars and no lights. We are planning on going back again.
