Makers Acres is our home, our pottery studio named, Maine Prairie Studio, the Lakeside Campground, The Wedge and our camper, Andromeda. Guests are able to reserve the camper, The Wedge or Lakeside Campground to stay in. The camper is equipped with running water, electricity etc. The lakeside campground has enough space for 3 different dispersed campsites. The Wedge, is just enough for 1-2 people to stay. Since we are potters, guests are able to book some cool "Extras" at the studio. Below are the "Extras" we have available to register for. - "Come Try It" Pottery Experiences - Kayak Rentals - Paddleboard Rentals - Seasonal Garden Vegetables - Firewood - Athletic Brewing Company, NA Brews -20% Discount on our handmade pottery in our Gallery while your Hipcamping at Makers Acres. We look forward to helping you find your next hipcamping experience here at Makers Acres. During warm weather you are able to access Murray Lake from our property to swim, kayak or paddle board. During winter, we live 1/2 mile from a ski hill, Powder Ridge, which has tubing, downhill skiing and snowboarding.

Our Lakeside Campground is located within a clearing in a wooded area behind our yard. There is enough space for three tents per site. There is a fire ring, subtle views of Murray Lake, a trail down to the lake and dock, a hammock and plenty of space for a small family or a group of friends. There is running water and a toilet on site. There is not electricity in the camping area. You’re welcome to use the trampoline, throw some beanbags, sit around the campfire ring in the campground, use the hammock or rent the paddleboard or kayaks. We have a short trail down to Murray Lake for a swim out to the swim platform.

Our cozy camper is an older model with two single bunks, a couch and a small eating nook. The couch folds down into a full size bed. It is connected to running water and electricity. There is a refrigerator with a freezer, a range, a microwave, a sink, a water heater, a small bathroom with a flush toilet and a shower. It is situated in the back portion of our yard just a short walk away from one of our flower gardens and next to a short trail to Murray Lake. Pots and pans, dishes and bedding are included with your reservation. You’re welcome to use the trampoline, throw some beanbags, sit around the campfire ring in the campground, use the hammock or rent the paddleboard or kayaks.

The Wedge-with Garden Views

Our cozy mono-slope building has the central space, The Bunkhouse and The Wedge, a cozy room with its own entrance, for a individual or a couple. has an open floor plan. There is a twin bed, chair, desk and lamp. The Wedge has minimal amenities for those who like hygee and being light on their feet. There is a refrigerator with a freezer but no running water or bathroom. The bathroom and sink are located in the blue studio building next door. The Wedge is situated in the central/front portion of our yard just a short walk away from one of our flower gardens and next to a short trail to Murray Lake. Wonderful views of the sunsets and the yard. You’re welcome to use the trampoline, throw some beanbags, sit around the campfire ring in the campground, use the hammock or rent the paddleboard or kayaks.

Beautiful spot and large site! It was a bit closer to the house and neighbors houses than anticipated but hosts were very nice and we had a great time!

Camp sites were great. Very accommodating. Have access to a lake right on property. They have various activities to keep the whole family busy. Dogs and cats were very friendly.
