Shady Oaks Campground is located in Garden City, the home of the Blue Earth County Fair. Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing, the campground is located on the banks of the Watonwan River and is especially suited for private, quiet camping or for group gatherings. Nestled along the serene banks of the Watonwan River, Shady Oaks is your premier destination for a peaceful riverside escape. Whether you’re looking for a quiet solo retreat or a spacious area for a family gathering, our grounds offer the perfect balance of nature and comfort. Even our primitive campers enjoy full, easy access to our clean shower house and restroom facilities—so you can enjoy the rugged outdoors without giving up the essentials. While we have centered on this area for the pin, there are 80 acres and plenty of Primitive places to choose from.

Our Powered RV Sites offer the perfect blend of convenience and nature. Each site is equipped with dedicated Water and Electric hookups to keep your RV running smoothly and your stays comfortable. While these sites do not feature individual sewer connections, guests have full, complimentary access to our easily accessible on-site Dump Station. Enjoy the shade and the riverside breeze without sacrificing the essentials.
