A neat location next to a lake, but you’ll need to have a 4 x 4 to drive all the way to the site, otherwise you’ll need to walk most of the way. Tics are heavy everywhere this season, so be aware of that for this site as there is a lot of tall grass. Unfortunately we had to run home shortly after getting there, so I didn’t get the full experience. I liked the location by the lake and the trees nearby were neat, nice private campsite. I’d recommend clearing the site of tall grass for the summer season if possible. I might try this one again in the fall when tics aren’t so bad.

Great spot to camp fairly close to Minneapolis! The upper campground was private and easy to access. The goats and horses were really friendly and walked right up to us. There were a lot of ticks around so make sure to check yourself after you walk around.
If you want to use the lower campground closer to the water you will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Great peaceful site down by the water! All kinds of waterfowl that made for fun viewing. Site was easy to access. Booked only one night and ended up booking another to round out the weekend. Will be back again

The property is pretty much open prairie land. I saw so many different types of birds to include eagles, water fowl, (didn't hear any loons but doesn't mean there aren't any) saw a few wildlife (deer, turkey, ground hog, a couple meadow voles. ) Andrew has a farm and there are a few horses and some very friendly goats, and super friendly dog. Andrew always answered my questions and was available if I needed anything. The farm is down a long dirt road which makes the stay very peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. Thanks Andrew for a great stay! I would stay again.

My stay was just what I was looking for: quiet, private and low-key. The sunset and sunrise over the lake and field were second to none. The site itself is rustic - just some logs for seating and a firepit - perfect for me to pull up, enjoy the evening and sleep in my truck. Andrew was proactive and responsive, and gave great directions for me to find the site even though I booked on short notice and he wasn't around when I arrived. Very positive experience overall!
