They are friendly, well trained and mostly work along side me. They would return to pick up the rest and continue on. Since inheriting the farm, we have moved towards sustainable farming. The Guilford Fairgrounds is less than 1/4 mile away and has many hiking and biking trails. The land was originally part of a colonial Glebe Trust with the Church of England and divided up, the original 100+ year farmhouse and barn can be seen from many of the campsites. Guilford, Vermont is located in the southeast of Windham County, resting along the Massachusetts border to the south and New Hampshire not far to the east. A community with a long and interesting history, Guilford was actually Vermont’s largest town as long ago as 1790. Now, with a population of about 2,100, its by no means considered a large community yet with its beautiful old covered bridges, churches, and one-room schoolhouse, Guilford maintains an unmistakable sense of history while at the same time having a reputation as one of the truly unique small communities in southern Vermont. Guilford has some of the most quintessential small town landmarks in all of Vermont. Sites like the Christ Church, Broad Brook House, and Guilford Center Meeting House were all built in the early 19th Century and are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Beaver have dammed the creek at several points to create ponds and other wetland features that support a diversity of wildlife including otter, moose and a myriad of birds, from osprey to herons. This sanctuary is host to many uncommon native plants and plant communities. We would love to share it with you! Your host, Thom, invites you to property to explore 75 acres of meadows, woods and water. Choose one of several sites either in the woods or open areas. The cabin served as the perfect home base for our trip to surrounding outdoor recreation (hiking, biking, climbing are all around!). We felt secluded but also safe. Hosts were friendly and kind but also gave us our space. Best outhouse ever and the fairy houses were an added bonus. We regret not staying longer to checkout Shelburne Falls and perhaps just spend a day unwinding at the cabin with its great view and peaceful vibes. Just means we will have to be back soon!

Anthony was a friendly, kind, and flexible host. We had a great time camping in the field. The site is very large and there's lots of nice amenities such as picnic tables, chairs, canopies, and more.

Out in the meadow --with the barn & farmhouse on the left and Guilford Center on the right (including Guilford Free Library, Historical Society, Universalist Meeting Hall). Out of view but close is the Broad Brook Community Center -former Grange Hall.

We were so thankful to find Chuck’s place last minute. He was a wonderful host, inviting us to the local Guilford Fair, explaining what there was to see in the area and making us feel completely welcome for the weekend. We enjoyed the beautiful views from the comfy chairs provided around the fire pit. The fair was an unexpected highlight. We would return.

We loved camping on Anthony's land. It was clean, wide open field where we played games, and walked, and even danced! Anthony had farm fresh eggs, peppers, tomatoes, apples, and corn ready for us to take everyday! I've never been anywhere before that offered us that before. His hospitality was amazing! The pups got to roam free everyday! That to me and them was awesome! Overall we had a fantastic Labor Day weekend with the family! We will definitely be back some time. We would also recommend it to friends and family!

Weekend Trip to Conway Natives Nursery

Such a deeply beautiful spot. The land is so big and yet feels very cozy. The gardens, land, rock structures, art studio etc is curated in a very intentional, creative and majestic way. My son and I had a great time exploring the land, meeting the chickens and dogs, and Lilian was a very helpful and accommodating host. The tents are very close together, so we had very little privacy from the other party next to us, especially in the morning. But they were cool and overall we had such a wonderful time.

We enjoyed the walk around the loop and along the main road. Very little traffic. We saw just one car. The site was too small for our rig but the host let us set up across the driveway.
