Beautiful area and welcoming host!

We were so thankful to find Chuck’s place last minute. He was a wonderful host, inviting us to the local Guilford Fair, explaining what there was to see in the area and making us feel completely welcome for the weekend. We enjoyed the beautiful views from the comfy chairs provided around the fire pit. The fair was an unexpected highlight. We would return.

We had a great time camping on Chuck's farm!!! It is so peaceful and pretty, but maybe the best part was how friendly Chuck is and how much he wanted us to be comfortable and have. a great stay. Chuck offered us many options for where to camp, and since it was raining we picked the tent meadow, it was perfect and quite scenic. The town is quite small which is what we were looking for. Chuck invited us to join the town coffee klatch the next morning which was so kind. We were sorry to miss it but had a 40 mile gravel ride to do so needed to get on the road. If you are in to gravel biking this is a great starting point, beware, there are lots of climbs. Chuck and Mary were great hosts and always answered our texts and our silly questions. The hens eggs were delicious as well! We hope to come back sometime soon.

We had such a pleasing experience here! Chuck and Mary were very welcoming. They gave a is a welcome pack with things to do in the area and gave us food recommendations. Purchased a few bundles of wood and I must say this was really great wood ! Was not damp, no smoke, most hipcamps I’ve stayed at has smoky wood. It was a bit rainy and cold, Chuck checked in to make sure we were warm enough. The property is just lovely and calming. I personally enjoyed the chickens roaming during the day. I know they are natures pest control so I welcome them! Even as we were leaving Chuck gave us a recommendation to see a local covered bridge. I highly recommend booking and I see myself coming back.

Whether you’re looking for an historical adventure or quiet hospitality, this location fills the bill. The community is quaint and welcoming yet respectful and private. Plenty of space to camp, roam and enjoy the majestic maples. Wonderful experience. Hope to visit again soon.

We loved this site. Lovely open terrain with plenty room for our van and our friend's teardrop trailer. We had a beautiful view across to the village church and the chickens came by to say hello. Chuck is a great host, helping us get settled in and after the rain stopped he thoughtfully brought out dry cushions for the campfire chairs. He had great recommendations on things to do and we enjoyed the nearby trail to the historic mineral springs.

Staying at Chuck's place was perhaps the most enjoyable night of my whole road trip. We got to meet the chickens and make a fire and watch the moon coming up over the hill. There was plenty of space for our camper and electricity for our use. I also really enjoyed Chuck's suggestion to head to the Guilford country store for breakfast which was a cute little surprise of a place. I should've gotten. 17 more pumpkin croissants there.

Such a gorgeous spot. The trees and amazing and we saw tons of turkeys and their babies. Chuck was away this weekend but he was very attentive through text and checked in on us every day. His niece was there and she and her children helped us gather wood together for a fire. We headed over to the covered bridge for a swim and the book store in Brattleboro. Would love to come back again and will be recommending this spot to friends and family!

A beautiful, quiet and serene spot to just be. We enjoyed Chuck, he was a wonderful host and was very personable and welcoming. The area had much to offer and we enjoyed going out to a nice dinner in Brattleboro.
I definitely recommend this site.

New England Charm

Chuck has a great piece of property with a beautiful old house and barn on it. The history of the place is interesting too. It was a real pleasure to camp there and Chuck is a nice host. He took a little time to show us around and gave us a few tips on things to do. I highly recommend it if you're in the area and I can't wait to get back. I recommend the farm fresh eggs if they're available. The chickens are awesome!

I had a minor issue with the shore power due to my AC drawing too much power causing the breaker to trip. Mary (the host) left her dinner to show me where all the circuit boxes were and let me plug into the best one available…and supplied an extra extension cord!!
100% will come back again.

Chuck and Mary were great hosts, offered great suggestions on things to do, and provided a great package with everythig in the local area. The site is within sight of the house and barn and even though it is a working farm we felt we always had privacy. Overall a wonderful stay and we’ll keep on our list of places to return.

A beautiful location with amazing hosts. Chuck absolutely went above and beyond with his hospitality. Here are a few examples: 1) we had a logistical issue that delayed our arrival and he was quite flexible and responsive 2) he had started a fire for us before we got there which was extremely well received as we were getting in after dark and 3) he even brought us coffee in the morning!
Don’t pass on the opportunity to meet these great people and enjoy the beautiful southern Vermont landscape.

Giant maples and lovely meadow

This property is a gem. Chuck and Mary welcomed us and made us feel at home, while also respecting our privacy during our 3-day stay. As promised, we parked under the ancient maples - the largest we had ever seen - overlooking a lovely meadow. Although close to Brattleboro, it felt like we had arrived at another place and time 100 years past. On our 9-week journey, it was the most unique and lovely place we stayed. Since ours is a tiny teardrop-style camper, access to the sink and toilet in the back of the farmhouse was appreciated.

My family and I had a lovely stay at Chuck's place in Guilford. It's a beautiful peaceful spot. We hiked the nearby trail (site of the old mineral springs), enjoyed sitting around the firepit, and marveled at the old barn and farm buildings. Chuck was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended!
