Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Nestled at the crown of the mountain, this private campsite offers a front-row seat to the sky. Surrounded by jagged ridgelines and windswept pines, it sits just above the tree line where the air is thin, crisp, and electric with silence. On clear days, you can see for miles — rolling valleys, distant peaks, and winding rivers far below — a panoramic view that feels like the edge of the world. It is the perfect basecamp for day hikes, wildlife spotting, and stargazing. Trails wind down into lush forests or up to even higher viewpoints for the daring explorer. Hike to a breathtaking swimming hole with all natural running water and waterfalls, then grab a bite to eat at the Guilford Country Deli with organic handmade sandwiches and desserts. Guests are welcome to relax by the pond and grab eggs from the chicken coop. Many breweries and restaurants in the area as well as berry picking farms and apple orchards. Guest can also enjoy renting a canoe and spending the day on the Connecticut river or attending local events in Brattleboro like first Friday (a monthly gathering of local craft makers, food trucks, and music). We are only 5 minutes from I-91 and the Massachusetts border. As the sun sets, golden light spills across the rocks and wildflowers, and the sky deepens to hues of lavender and ember. At night, stars emerge in dazzling clarity, unobscured by city lights or canopy, with the Milky Way streaking overhead like a celestial river. It’s a place where time slows down, and the world below feels very far away.

The Pond

The pond is a beautiful grassy little spot that feels like an island in the middle of the woods. Sunlight comes in from above, and there is access to hiking trails just a few feet away. There are tadpoles, turtles, and owls at night. We welcome tent camping, but any vehicle camping would need to be 4wd to access the spot.

Located right off the main road, Tree Side Valley is our biggest site. it opens into a large grass filled area lined with beautiful trees and a fire pit with a table and chairs for you to enjoy. Campers are encouraged to explore the site to find the perfect spot for their stay because there are many places to camp.

Quiet and quaint. Beautiful area. Fire pit provided. A little buggy, as to be expected when you’re camping deep in the woods, so highly suggest bringing bug spray and bug nets. Owner is very friendly and helpful.

Nice and quiet camp away from any city noises. I wasn’t bothered by the one other camper up the road or the host for that matter. Plenty of wood around to burn in the pit. Loved the woodpeckers doing there thing and I’m pretty sure I saw a moose. Bring herbs to burn in the pit for the flies and mosquitoes! 👍👍

Great site in a convenient spot. Private site and the hosts were very accommodating. Only complaint would be no firewood provided despite listing. Able to forage plenty of sticks in the wood, but burned quickly. Would go back (with firewood).

Me and my friend had a nice one night stay. The host was friendly and a new fire fit waiting for us at spot. There is also a nice little town like 10 minutes away if you want to grab food, a drink, or shop. Would recommend.

I enjoyed tent camping on the hill. It was peaceful, clean, table and chairs available with a fire pit. Plenty of wood to burn. If I am in the area I would plan to camp there again.

My sister and I loved our time camping! The spot is right next to the gravel road but only the neighbor drove by (it’s a dead end road). Raven left us some wood and their neighbor came to drop off more wood for us which was very thoughtful and kind. The area is beautiful and peaceful and quiet. We missed seeing the stars bc it was cloudy, but hopefully next time! Definitely would book again :)

I booked this spot very spontaneously knowing I would be roughing it but I was prepared and it turned out to be a very beautiful camping 🏕️ experience. The only sound you hear were sounds of nature, birds, chipmunks 🐿️, leaves 🍁 falling and pure magical peace. It was truly medicinal and a spiritual experience 🙏🏼🧘🏼‍♀️. Raven was responsive and her partner brought me some wood 🪵 and eggs 🥚 🥰. Another neighbor driving by asked if I needed more wood. I loved it and will be back. If you know how to camp ⛺️, you’ll love this place. Also, the farmers market in Brattleboro was like something out of a book, so quaint, crunchy, granola with delicious food! Namaste

The hosts were absolutely amazing! The site double booked us for the same camp site and the hosts let us know ahead of time giving us the option of coming up and finding a new spot or getting refunded. We ended up coming up and they were super apologetic but showed us a few different spots and even got us a fire pit and some wood. Super private, peaceful and very conveniently located. Wonderful, passionate people who are eager to share the outdoors. Cannot recommend them enough!

Had the most relaxing time! Absolutely beautiful and serene area and hosts went above and beyond to accommodate us , make us feel welcome and recommend a beautiful swimming spot! If you are looking for peace, this is the place to find it. We will definitely be back again!

Didn't stay at the site. When we arrived, it was late, but when we were shown the spot it was a bunch of down trees then a smaller field like section with grass/weeds overgrown over 3-4 feet tall. There was really no place to put a tent. The host was very kind and understanding.
