The history of the Wedding Rock dates back at least to the 1800s when people would gather to trade goods and services and thrash their wheat on the rock. Social events were not common during that time and for this this rural place so love often happened quickly! The first recorded wedding was a young couple who fearded they would never see each other again - so happened a wedding. They were together until their death.
Folklore has it that no marriage that takes place at The Wedding Rock will ever fail. My sister and her husband were married there 36 years ago. For your reference, our other listings are The Hammock House and The Harrican Lakehouse. The total property is over 200 acres and is surround by the Daniel Boone National Forrest and area wildlife management areas. The views are stunning. It was fun even in the winter. Ain't nothing like a wood stove. There was a little mouse around but its winter and they like to be warm too. Made a fire outside, it fell real nice.

The land is beautiful and we had a great time. Because it had rained a day before, I would say that any 2 wheel drive vehicle may have trouble getting back up the back hill. It gets a little muddy. We would come back.

Amazing spot for a quiet secluded tent camp in a low clearing next to the creek. It’s a bouncy fun road from the gate to camp site. I considered parking inside the gate and hiking down and was able to make it in my CRV. Scott met me and was upper friendly and led me to the site and described the layout. Great host. Was fun to hike and explore the property a bit before dark. The sound of the creek was relaxing.

I liked camping at Patrick's River point. Patrick and Angelica were so very kind and helpful. I signed up for the campsite with the tent setup and everything was just perfect. It was an enjoyable two days day. I was grateful the showers had hot water lol! I would highly recommend.

Another night and day here. Did not want to leave. This place is such a treasure. Hiked to 1 of the waterfalls again and only thing to be desired (besides wishing we had more time to spend) is that fellow visitors would not leave their trash behind. Love coming here and eager to return.

This is our 3rd stay here and we could not be happier with the place. Scott is an amazing host and this camping spot on his property is amazing. We got to see the otters plating in the creek on this trip and we had some deer visit. If you are looking for a peaceful, secluded spot to camp in this is the place. We are looking forward to our next stay here.

We had a very relaxing and peaceful five-night stay at Patrick’s Point River Camp in our 21’ camper. This is a huge property on the Cumberland River in southeast Kentucky. They offer everything from remote primitive tent camping to FHU RV sites. Our Premium RV site on the river could benefit from more gravel but was located under shade mere steps away from the shower house. Access to the campground could be challenging for an inexperienced driver pulling a car behind an 45’ Class A, but the road in was fine for us pulling a small trailer. Bathroom and shower facilities were clean and had good hot water and water pressure. The real reason we’ll be back was the hosts Patrick and Angelica. We have never been made to feel so welcomed in the five years we’ve been camping. They have mastered the perfect blend of providing excellent service and giving their guests space. Eager to offer recommendations for adventures or eating establishments, we were treated like family. We highly recommend Patrick’s Point River Camp!

We really enjoyed our stay on this beautiful land with friendly and welcoming hosts. We experienced 3.75 inches of rainfall in a 24 hour period so were grateful to be offered a spot on the gravel. Very close to anything you might need with lots to see nearby. Highly recommended!

Wonderful property! Very accommodating hosts!! They had no problem with a last minute late arrival time. Plenty of room on the property to spread out. Very clean porta potty. Not too far from the interstate. We were there for less than 12 hours, so basically slept and cooked breakfast, but it was perfect for us!!

Always a pleasure! They offer many opportunities to have just the experience you’re looking for.
It has the perfect balance of feeling off the grid and can provide you that experience, yet has many amenities available if you aren’t feeling quite up to truly being off the grid. I can’t think of a better place for kayaking, hiking, and communing with nature.
