I loved the treehouse on Trudy’s land. It was the most beautiful and fun experience. All the animals are so friendly and adorable. & the pizza night was fantastic!!

Weekend Trip to Cabins On The Corner-Steinhatchee

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was lovely and we had a relaxing stay. The owners were very nice and helpful! If there was any suggestion, it would be one of the following. Put a picnic table by the fire pit area for those cooking over the fire to eat at OR make a second fire pit behind the cabins in that grass area. That way it's closer to the cabin for easier access of cooking/eating. That was a super minor thing and will definitely stay there again when visiting!

Weekend Trip to FOB Pelican at Little Pelican Bayou

We had such a great time at little pelican! The airstream was awesome and the property was meticulously well kept. We enjoyed morning paddle in the kayaks.

Well shaded, quiet and relaxing. Lots of areas to relax, hammock, outdoor furniture, bug screen gazebo. The outdoor shower has lots of hot water, the Porta potty was clean and well maintained. Kitchen area is more than adequate plus there is a really nice barbecue. There are some free roaming cats around but they seem to stay away from humans, the next yard has chickens but they were all quiet. There is some of the biggest geckos there. I am sure I'll go back.

Anthony was very flexible and accommodating, making a short, spur of the moment trip enjoyable. The site is accessible with all the services, with quiet neighbors and the beauty of the bay and the beach a short walk away.

We truly loved our stay at this site. The location is extremely convenient, even by bike or by walking. The neighborhood is safe and the hosts are ideal. Laura was communicative and gave us space, making it feel like a totally private stay. The fence and gate were great for kids, and the animal visits were so sweet! The hot tub really hit the spot after a long day of scuba and beach time. We hope to come back soon. Thank you Laura! Highly recommend.

What a wonderful peaceful place to visit. The town was nice to visit and fresh produce . The space was calm and peaceful and very clean. Jess is an amazing host and readily available for any help or questions. Safe and comfortable place. I highly recommend for anyone travelling through Arcadia!

Really clean and pretty grounds. Lots of color and beach themed buildings. Friendly staff. Lots of amenities- pool, hot tub, laundry, library, clubhouse, bench swings, sandy beach, entrance to water, fishing off the pier. Close to all the shops and beach is a short 5 minute drive away. Will definitely be back.

3 nights at FOB Pelican at Little Pelican Bayou

This place is a little getaway near home! The airstream was clean and vintage! Gene is a great host and friendly. Having access to the bayou was great, you can take out the kayaks/canoe and go for an adventure anytime. So much wildlife to see, from birds, fish, and turtles! Definitely will book again!

4 nights at Roots ReTREEt in Old Florida

We loved staying at Jay's. He was very welcoming and went out of his way to help us out. The description is exactly as listed. He has a couple of options for set up locations. His property has the feeling of being remote. However, you are only a few minutes away from grocery and some other stores and restaurants. It is a short drive to the beach or inland water way/Indian River. Jay was available and easy to get in contact with. He helped us with many questions about the area and where to go. We were even able to catch two rocket launches just from the back yard. If you want a quieter Florida experience give Jay's place a visit. Next time we are in the area or passing through, this will be our stay of choice.

My family and I had the best time!! The trailer we rented was super clean, the staff was so friendly. We went Easter weekend and they had an Easter egg hunt and crafts/cookies for all the kids. So sweet! Can’t wait to plan our next trip there!

Very chilled and easy experience staying at Runaway Bay Lodge. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Bed very large and comfortable. Nice shower. Lovely watching the sunset over the lake with a nice wood fire going.

Weekend Trip to The Bougainvillea Glamping Tent

Dawn and her family have created an oasis that will rejuvenate and renew your spirit. The gardens are radiant, the tent and restroom was tastefully decorated and all the amenities of a hotel are available - the towels were so soft and the bed was so comfortable! Best part is the hospitality offered by the host who made you feel very welcomed. I will be coming back as my get away retreat.

FOB Pelican has an air conditioned trolley car converted into a bar that overlooks the bayou and a larger outdoor bar that also overlooks the bayou. We also have a small beach with canoes and kayaks. FOB Pelican’s two bedroom, two bathroom house has front and back porches. The back porch overlooks the bayou as well. There’s feeders that attract numerous turtles and fish to watch at feeding times. The bayou leads out to the Blackwater River accessing downtown Milton river walk or go south into the bay and Pensacola. We have an RV electrical and water hookup as well.

There is a fire pit if you want to relax. In the summer we have a cowboy pool to cool off after a long day on the water. Steinhatchee is located in Taylor County Florida along the Gulf of Mexico. Inshore and offshore fishing is year-round. Scallop season is June to September. More than 20 springs are located within 45 minutes of Steinhatchee. Too numerous to count are the Florida Wildlife Management areas that are accessible by car and allow for bird watching and animal siting of deer and wild boar. Steinhatchee River is a kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding experience. The local restaurants/Marinas are within five minutes of the campground. Live music is available at the restaurants.

You may encounter species including marsh rabbit, armadillo, opossum, red fox, gopher tortoise, bald eagle and many other birds at the expansive lake front.
