Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. Frank planned and constructed the Upper Rendezvous area which was completed in 2012 and added 136 RV sites as well as the dog park, barn and pigeon coop. The dog park has five sections, for both small and large dogs, with ample room to run.
Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground Pool
Frank began raising pigeons in 2012. The first pigeons purchased were homing pigeons, which started the Pigeon Races that are still a fun, family favorite event on Saturday afternoons. Frank also bought and started raising other pigeons, the Birmingham Roller. Birmingham Rollers are a very popular breed of domesticated pigeons that originated in Birmingham, England, where they were developed via selective breeding for their ability to do rapid backward somersaults while flying. You can often see them flying around the Upper Rendezvous in the mornings and afternoons. These pigeons are used for our weekly Pigeon Races.

Enjoy a variety of seating areas on our half acre lot full of fruit trees and flowers, or watch the sunset from the hot tub. Camping is easy with washer, dryer, fridge, stove, microwave, dishes, coffee pot, toaster and blender, all in an air-conditioned shed. Don't want to cook inside? We offer three Amish built log cabins at our RV Campground. Fisherman and Hunter's Cabin has a one bedroom with queen size bed and a set of bunk beds in the living area. They sleep up to four people. Two burner stove top, full size microwave and refrigerator. Full size bathroom with large walk-in shower.
The Gator Hut offers a queen bed with a bunk bed over and sleeps up to three people.
All the cabins are fully furnished with towels and linens as well as dishes, cooking utensils and coffee pot, smart TV with cable tv and Wi-Fi is included. The Campground is fenced and gated and we are pet friendly. There is a laundry facility on site for the guests. There is a fire pit if you want to relax. In the summer we have a stock tank pool (opens in April) to cool off after a long day on the water.
Steinhatchee is located in Taylor County Florida along the Gulf of America. Inshore and offshore fishing is year-round. Scallop season is June 15 to Labor Day. More than 20 springs are located within 45 minutes of Steinhatchee. Too numerous to count are the Florida Wildlife Management areas that are accessible by car and allow for bird watching and animal siting of deer and wild boar. Steinhatchee River is a kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding experience. The local restaurants/Marinas are within five minutes of the campground. Live music is available at the restaurants.

Guests have access to a hot tub and hot/cold outdoor shower, as well as Wi-Fi, water, and electricity.
We host campers because we love meeting the wonderful people out there exploring the world.
Previously, we welcomed campers on our oceanfront property in Mexico, a few hours north of Puerto Vallarta, for five years before moving back to the States to be closer to family. We have plenty of great stories to share from our adventures living and traveling throughout Mexico and the U.S. in our VW van!

We had a fantastic 4th of July there. This was the 3rd time there and am already scheduled for 3 additional trips. The hosts Bolton and James are great, the grounds are meticulously maintained. We did not use the hot tub this trip but spent lots of time in the pool. Other campers and local friends came to join the festivities and were so much fun.... A great time for all!!!

Karin and Phil are the best. They have put together a beautiful camping spot in their quiet and fenced area. So many amenities made our stay more like being in a luxury campground but we had the entire property to ourselves. Laundry facilities, a toilet and a shower, sinks for washing up and sinks for washing the dishes, a big beautiful grill and even a hot tub. There are beautiful gardens brimming with vegetables growing right there, and fresh fruits to eat, and even flowers all for the guests! You can tell that Phil and Karin, have big hearts for their guests and they are beautiful people and have a very nice camping spot.

We love the RV port. It gives us great shade and is a nice private spot. The dogs love being able to roam. We enjoy the Saturday happy hours by the pool. A large property with great landscaping and lots of seating areas and firepits. The hosts are welcoming and responsive. This is a perfect weekend spot.
