St. Augustine's original Alligator Farm was located adjacent to our property. We are one mile south of the NE FL Regional Airport and it's not unusual to see a biplane practising barrel rolls for an air show. We are 30-45 minutes from Jacksonville, birthplace of the Blue Angels, and 15 minutes from downtown St. Augustine, the nation's oldest continuously occupied city. Message me for discounts on long-term stays. Learn more about this land: Bring your tent, van or small camper and share our slice of paradise! You'll have the camp site all to yourself--we sometimes need to water the garden, but otherwise avoid the camping area when it's occupied. Enjoy a variety of seating areas on our half acre lot full of fruit trees and flowers, or watch the sunset from the hot tub. Camping is easy with washer, dryer, fridge, stove, microwave, dishes, coffee pot, toaster and blender, all in an air-conditioned shed. Don't want to cook inside? Use the propane Jennair grill with gazebo and lights. Clean up is a breeze with our stainless steel triple sink and 4 gal hot water tank. We're one block off US1 and 10-15 minutes by car to beach and downtown. Hang out around our stone fire pit or sit at our 6 person table with solar powered lighted umbrella. Wifi, electric and water included. Porta potty and outdoor shower with 8 gal. hot water tank. Two large outdoor sinks, one with 4 gal. hot water tank, the other one shares the 8 gal. tank with the shower. Two locked gates in our chain link fence allow most RVs the option to pull through or back in. Water and 30A electric hookup located at corner of concrete pad, next to the Jennair gas grill. Relax on our Broyhill couch and easy chairs under the awning, and enjoy our latest addition, a fire table. Hang out in the new gazebo with mosquito netting and fabric panels on a Trex deck with a polycarbonate roof. Keep an eye out for hawks, owls, osprey and ibis. If you are extra lucky, you might spot our resident gopher tortoise! (If you do, please enjoy from a distance, they are protected.)Bring your tent, van or small camper and share our slice of paradise! Rig suitability
Vehicles under 28 feet allowed
Campers 25 ft or longer require experienced driver and/or lookout. This is an old neighborhood with narrow streets. We have 2 gates so smaller vehicles can pull thru.
Allowed rigs: travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, pop-up campers, class A RVs, class B RVs, class C RVs, campervans, cars, truck campers, and rooftop tents
Pull-through site
There are 2 gates in the chain link with padlocks. Each gate is 12 ft wide. Small campers could back in or out but pull in one and out the other is best.

Our house is on a half acre lot. RVs will need to park inside the chain link fence parallel to the road. Tents have lots of options.
Electrical hookup available
30 amps. Regular outlets at various places on property give flexibility to tents. One 30 amp hookup at front of property for RVs. Our solar panels provide the electric during the day, FPL grid at night.
Water hookup available
On-site hookup. Well water passes thru salt softener. Accessible at multiple sites and outdoor sink.
No sewage hookup
No TV hookup
We do have an outdoor theater with firestick available in the extras, weather permitting.

You'll have this Hipcamp all to yourself.

Firewood provided, firepit. Stone firepit and propane fire table available. Table with fire feature powered by camping propane canister also provided but bring your own canisters.

Portable toilet. Porta potty is serviced regularly by provider.

Potable water available
Tap, hose, pump or well, bottled water or jugs. Our well water passes through a salt softener and is accessible at multiple spots on the property including our outdoor sink.
Showers available
Hot water . Outdoor shower with 8 gal hot water tank, triple sink has 4 gal hot water tank, double sink and clothes washer are cold water only, hose.
Bins available
Compost bin, recycling bin, trash bin. Trash and recyclables are picked up on Fridays.
Cooking equipment present
Grill over firepit, bbq, private, oven, stovetop or hot plate, fridge, freezer, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station. Jennair gas grill with side burner, oven and 4 burner cooktop, drip or Keurig style coffee pot, toaster, blender, microwave, fridge and freezer in locking shed with Corelle dinnerware for 4 plus utensils, acrylic glasses and Rachel Ray pots/pans.
Picnic table present
Glass topped table seats 6 with solar lighted umbrella. Smaller tables around property with various seating, chaise lounge, glider, etc.

Laundry present
Washer and dryer available in locking shed. Washer is cold water only. Folding drying rack and room to store items you don't want to leave in your tent.
Hot Tub present
Relax in the double lounge seat hot tub and soak away the aches after a hike.
No playground
Plenty of yard but no specific playground area. Corn hole available under extras.

Karin and Phil are the best. They have put together a beautiful camping spot in their quiet and fenced area. So many amenities made our stay more like being in a luxury campground but we had the entire property to ourselves. Laundry facilities, a toilet and a shower, sinks for washing up and sinks for washing the dishes, a big beautiful grill and even a hot tub. There are beautiful gardens brimming with vegetables growing right there, and fresh fruits to eat, and even flowers all for the guests! You can tell that Phil and Karin, have big hearts for their guests and they are beautiful people and have a very nice camping spot.

We had a wonderful stay at Twin Cedars. The location is perfect, 20 minutes ride to the old city of St Augustine, the beach, the restaurants, the shops... The place itself has everything: it's a large backyard where you have the facilities to do everything outdoor: the dishes, take a hot shower, use the dry toilet, eat at the dinner set, use the BBQ, and they even have a spa. We were also able to do our laundry. Our hosts Karin and Phil were super nice and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

I love staying at Karin and Phil's place, so convenient to St. Augustine, yet so peaceful. Countless amenities make camping much easier... the washer and dryer, the sinks and shower with plenty of hot water, everything needed for cooking, refrigerator, stove, oven, the list goes on. Karin and Phil have been welcoming and so helpful in every way. I am thrilled do have found this, and definitely will come back here.

Karen and Phil were great hosts. We had some trouble with our vehicle and there were more than glad to help us. They were very friendly and took time to show us around the property and even shared a cutting of a plant from her garden. This place was very clean and had great outdoor areas for us to hang out. This was a dream Hipcamp! So many amenities that made camping easier (sinks for washing dishes, brushing teeth), a clean portapotty, and a magical shed with a fridge AND washer/dryer. The hot tub was delightful. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would absolutely stay here again! Karin and Phil were wonderful hosts and communication was easy.

This is my favorite place to go for peace, quiet and small projects. Everything I need is right there. Shower, kitchen, laundry and peace. I showed up exhausted , laid own for a nap, and slept the majority of the next 24 hours. No interruptions, problems or hassles.

Many more amenities than most Hipcamps...outdoor shower, hot tub, grill, washer/drier, and more. Fairly close to beach to boot! Very secure thanks to locking gates. No regrets - plan to return when in the area.

This was a great spot to camp! Everything you need was right on site. We really appreciated the outdoor shower and the shed with amenities and cooking supplies. We didn’t get a chance to use it but saw there was a cooler available and other camping things you might need. It was very private and a convenient location to St. Augustine. After a long day of walking and exploring the hot tub was a great way to relax, it was very nice that they have towels available to use. Phil was kind and helpful when we arrived. The garden and property was was spacious and comfortable, we also enjoyed meeting some of the cats.

Well shaded, quiet and relaxing. Lots of areas to relax, hammock, outdoor furniture, bug screen gazebo. The outdoor shower has lots of hot water, the Porta potty was clean and well maintained. Kitchen area is more than adequate plus there is a really nice barbecue. There are some free roaming cats around but they seem to stay away from humans, the next yard has chickens but they were all quiet. There is some of the biggest geckos there. I am sure I'll go back.

Karin and Phil were exceptional hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The space was lovely and I enjoyed the hot tub. They had such comforts like an on-demand hot water shower, a clean restroom, a screened structure with outdoor furniture, a nice grill and more. The hosts are experienced campers and hikers and know what their guests need to be comfortable. Thank you both!

What a wonderful place! Joseph and Karin are amazing hosts. The site offers everything we needed and more. For us, as vanlifers, it was the perfect spot. Close to historic St. Augustine and the beach. Plenty of shade, a quiet and spacious location. I 100% recommend this site.

What wonderful hosts! So nice and accomodating. Also the place is just wonderfully set up. Between the hottub, lights, shed with washer, dryer, and cooktop AND an outdoor movie theater (that is also screened in), they thought of everything. Also, randomly the absolute cleanest port-a-potty I've ever used, haha. This is a great place hosted by an amazing couple! Highly recommend.

If you’re trying to see the St. Augustine area, Karin’s place is a fantastic option. It is minutes away from the historic district, Vilano Beach, and Anastasia Island. We had a group of teenage girls, they loved the hot tub and outside shower. The shed had all the amenities of a hotel room plus a range. The yard is full of lovely garden beds and motion sensor lights for that late night trip to the restroom. You should know that the property is near US1, several trains will go by, and there is an active airport close to the property, BUT, we would all go back tomorrow. I’ve been more disturbed by hotel ac units. This was my first HipCamp experience, I would recommend the app and Karin’s spot to anyone with full confidence.
