Creekside Chalets has added 3 Creekside Camping spots all with access to the North Fork of the South Arkansas creek that flows through the property. The sites are located in an aspen grove along the creek with a picnic table provided and room to park one vehicle up to 20 feet long and space for a tent. 30 amp power is provided to each site, a porta-potty within 250 feet and water from a camp spigot. The campsites are pet friendly, $30 per pet per stay, max 2 pets.

We have 30/50amp sites (shade and partial shade) around our lake, 20 amp in the "upper campground," and dry camping (full facilities) on the Arkansas River with Gold Medal fishing with access for all campers for fishing and floating. There is access to white water rafting, guided fishing, and fishing lessons. There are at least 5 hot springs within 60 miles of Twin Bridges Campground. Salida is considered the white-water rafting capitol of the US by some and has a whitewater park and surfing wave. Salida area is also home to a ton of hiking (14'ers anyone?) and mountain biking trails. The Royal Gorge is a quick 30 minute drive with restaurants and other fun near Canon City. The Sand Dunes are 90 minutes and Monarch Ski Area is 45, we have some of the best bird watching! Warbling Vireo, Western Wood-peewee, Cassin's Kingbird to name a few.

Tennessee Creek Road typically becomes impassable to wheeled vehicles between Halloween and Thanksgiving and generally remains closed until Memorial Day. Depending on snowfall, this may occur earlier or later in the season.
During times when the road is snow-covered and impassable, guests may access the cabin only by snowshoe, backcountry skis, or snowmobile. A public parking lot, which is plowed and maintained throughout the winter, is available for guest parking before using these alternative methods of access.
🛷 Trail Conditions: About a 2-mile stretch of Tennessee Creek Road is groomed during winter for skiing and snowmobiling up to Forest Road 103. Beyond that point, the road is ungroomed and may have deep powder or snow drifts, making travel more challenging.
🚰 Water: Running water is not available during the winter months, as water storage is winterized. Guests must either bring their own water or melt snow.

Tennessee Creek Road typically becomes impassable to wheeled vehicles between Halloween and Thanksgiving and generally remains closed until Memorial Day. Depending on snowfall, this may occur earlier or later in the season.
During times when the road is snow-covered and impassable, guests may access the cabin only by snowshoe, backcountry skis, or snowmobile. A public parking lot, which is plowed and maintained throughout the winter, is available for guest parking before using these alternative methods of access.
🛷 Trail Conditions: About a 2-mile stretch of Tennessee Creek Road is groomed during winter for skiing and snowmobiling up to Forest Road 103. Beyond that point, the road is ungroomed and may have deep powder or snow drifts, making travel more challenging.
🚰 Water: Running water is not available during the winter months, as water storage is winterized. Guests must either bring their own water or melt snow.

Peaceville offers 2 campsites and the Safe House (lodging) for 6 people, one booking!
At the end of the road where 40 acres meets Pike National forest, there are views of rock formations, snow cap peaks and never ending stars. On the ground are pine, aspen, wildflowers and semi precious minerals. Peaceville is accessible to most vehicles and RVs. There are no houses or lights in sight. Florissant is a certified dark sky place in Colorado. The stargazing is AMAZING! The Safe House is connected to but separate from the main house and is equipped with a queen size bed, full size futon, toilet, shower, utility sink, fridge and stove cook top. Two campsites are available. The Aspen campsite for tent and car camping. Boy Scout campsite for RV's, tent camping and campfire if Teller County has no fire ban. Bring your motor toys, but trailer them to nearby forest access, one mile away. Non motorized humans and toys enter the forest from the property. If you are looking for quiet solitude with access to amenities its here in Peaceville.....Enjoy

During the day, explore some of the richest fossil deposits in the world, including giant petrified redwood stumps, insects and plants; choose from 14 miles of hiking trails; and check out the visitor center and outdoor exhibit area.
At night, amazing stargazing! Head to the Hornbek Homestead area, which has a parking lot and is open 24 hours a day for an amazing look at celestial objects after regular park hours. Night Sky Programs are also held periodically in collaboration with the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society, which provide telescopes, laser-pointer tours and plenty of knowledge.

It’s a beautiful place. Clean and well maintained by the wonderful people who own it. Listening to the river and geese was relaxing. Yes, the road is near and you hear the cars and trucks but it’s in a river canyon so we just ignored that and enjoyed ourselves. Good places to eat nearby (check out the MUG) and a good base camp location for anything in or around Colorado Springs.
10/10 will return.

What a beautiful spot along the Arkansas River! I stayed over a winter holiday week, so it was pretty quiet but the views were amazing. The hosts were very hospitable and the bathrooms were clean. Getting to walk along the railroad onto BLM land was an added bonus. I would definitely stay again.

Lovely place! The bathrooms were clean and you can’t beat a hot shower. They had several bbq grills for guest to use. It was nice to be so close to Royal Gorge. Don’t pass up your change to stay here, you won’t regret.

Very clean well maintained campground. It's very near hiway but the creek is strong and loud enough to drown out any traffic. There is only a porta potty available if you are tent or RV camping. But it's clean and maintained. Very nice propane fire pit that is very warm and no need to wood are worth the fee.

This is a budget friendly place to camp. The hosts were helpful, and the bathrooms were actually quite clean. Old, but clean. Hwy noise is a bit of an issue, but does quiet down a bit after 8 pm or so. The river was very lovely, and my kids loved the suspension bridge. The camp sites are very close to each other though, so if you don’t like to be that close to people, you may want to look elsewhere. Overall, this was a great place I would go to again, but would stay in Corral 1 instead of 2. Corral 2 was difficult to get power and water since they were on the opposite side of our camper and had no tree shade like 1 did.

We are new to camping and this place was perfect for us. The host were very nice and accommodating as well ..our stove went out but the host provided us loaner stove as well for free. My 3 year old wanted to fishing ..the host provided that to us too …one small issue is that its right next to a highway so some road noise during day …but other than that the place is awesome.

Absolute gem of a spot to camp. The Ouray site has a small set of stairs down to an area perfect for a few chairs or a hammock right by the flowing creek! We were able to really enjoy the sounds of the water and scenery. You can definitely still hear cars/semis passing on the road, but the white noise of the water mutes most of it out! and ZERO bugs! The porta-potty is decorated with fake flowers and twinkly lights - its those little things that made our trip feel extra cozy and cared for. We will be back!!
