The House where we live is the corner stone of the Bruce Property and is on the Colorado Register of Historic Houses.The residence was constructed between 1905 and 1912, using red bricks made on the site. John and Sophia Bruce, early pioneers in the North Fork Valley, were first involved in cattle raising. The family later became successful fruit growers. Located along the West Elk Loop, a Colorado Scenic and Historic Byway, the large two-story residence features a steeply pitched hipped roof with prominent attic dormers.As a guest of Riverwalk you will have full access to the river during your stay. Overview

Once a railroad town, today Gunnison is a basecamp for adventures in the Animus River Valley and the surrounding San Juan mountain peaks of southwest Colorado. RVers will find a range of camping options in and near Gunnison. The nearby Curecanti National Recreation Area offers 10 developed campgrounds, including one with electric hookups. Venture to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park to look over the edge of a dramatic drop, and you’ll find two campgrounds, including one with electric hookups. The surrounding Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison national forests are also home to a mixture of developed camping (with some partial hookups) and dispersed camping. Dispersed camping is also allowed at Bureau of Land Management locations in the region. For alpine adventures, camp in the mountain towns of Crested Butte or Creede. In addition to rustic campsites, the region has private RV resorts, with a range of amenities like full hookups, pull-through campsites, pools, and waterfront sites.
