This is a one acre lot for just one RV located at 9500ft in the Colorado mountains located halfway between Montrose and Gunnison off Hwy 50. The lot is six miles up the Alpine Plateau road. This area is surrounded by BLM land and National Forest. The lot is located with full hook ups and wifi in a neighborhood with cabins and rv lots. Please ask about deep discounts for long term rentals.The BACK IN lot has water, electric, internet and septic and is surrounded by towering pine and spruce trees. This acre lot is set up for one RV but an additional tent camper is allowed with the RV. This area is known for it's close location to Crested Butte, Ouray, Ridgeway and Telluride. Easy access direct from the lot for ATV's, hiking and all types of outdoor adventures. Note the log cabin shed seen in the pictures is locked for owner's use. It is not occupied in any way or in use while guests are on the property. There is a covered dog pen behind the shed that can be used by guests. Arrowhead is a unique neighborhood of cabins and RV lots. RV lots are only accessible in the summer time from Mid- May until roads close in November. The Arrowhead subdivision has a small lodge with a bar/restaurant along with a sports center that rents ATV's in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter. Three stocked fishing ponds for residents and guests only (permit required). The Alpine Plateau county road provides easy access for vehicles up the mountain and over the Lake City area via HWY 149. This is a well maintained gravel road. We do keep one security camera on the lot pointed to the road and the entrance to the driveway. 50 amp plug if you need 30 amp you will need a 30amp to 50amp adapter. We loved the RV location. We felt so secluded with all of the amenities of full hook ups. We had deer frequently walk through the camp. There are endless roads and trails in this area to explore. We will most definitely be back.

Darbywood is beautiful, a private lot in a beautiful wooded community. They’ve made sure that the site is level, really easy for hook ups. The electricity in the water were very convenient. The site sits surrounded by Aspen looking over a meadow. You can occasionally hear other people in the neighborhood, but it feels like you’re out in the wild. The hosts were very helpful and attentive and communicated very well. The navigation was good. My only heads up would be that the access is down a fairly long, steep driveway that you drive up to with an angle and then at the bottom, you have to make a 90° turn. I’ve been only driving and backing a trailer for about six years and have a comfort level with basic backing, but it was a challenge for me to get my 20’ trailer down the hill. The owners came and helped me park. Had they not been there I couldn’t have done it on my own.

We really enjoyed camping at Martha’s RV oasis the location was great. Everything was as listed on the ad when they even came and checked in all us to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again in the future!

I was traveling solo (with a small dog), so I liked that I had a feeling of being alone in the forest but that there were cabins nearby The site itself was lovely Make a point of enjoying the dark night sky. Am I imagining, or are the stars bigger at a higher elevation? Also, after sunrise, check out the sunlight on the nearby grove of trees. (Aspen? Birch? I can never remember which is which.). The trunks are brilliant while. Martha is a great host, and graciously managed to accommodate me when I had a late minute change in plans.

We really enjoyed our stay at Martha's Hip Camp. Full hook-ups, surrounded by nature so good privacy, and lots of room to manuever. The site wasn't that level but she provides plenty of paver stones that made it work. Great location with lots of opportunity to hike, fish, and enjoy the beautiful landscape. We'll definitely be back in the near future.

This campsite is very quiet and peaceful. It is a 15 minute drive up a rock road from Hwy 50. While there is no view from the site, the area is very pretty with large aspen and Douglas fir trees. The site is rocked and clean with electric, water and sewer easily accessible. While others have mentioned it, the back in was not difficult. Martha was very helpful and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We will keep this on our list of places to return to!

We loved staying on Martha’s land. It’s very peaceful and with all the hookups made it a really nice place to stay. Love the scenic drive and fishing. Loved watching the deer graze as well. Would definitely recommend campers to stay here.

The Darby RV site is a perfect full hookup camp and very private. It has everything I look for in a Hipcamp. The hookups are logically placed, and we had the camp to ourselves. The lot is tucked away in the mountains in a private community of cabins and RV sites. Our neighbors were barely visible and not in shouting distance. It’s far superior to a traditional campground. The community also has a lodge with a restaurant. We hope to return someday since our plans to visit the Black Canyon were foiled by a wildfire.

We really enjoyed our time at this spot. The location was really pretty and quiet. Saw deer wandering around the area every day. The camper setup area is mostly level and there are some blocks laid out that really help compensate for the natural ground slope. No issues with the full hookups provided and it was very convenient to have a wifi since cell coverage wasn't very good at the site. The description about the long back-in driveway was spot on and only took 2 tries to make the turn around the storage shed. Be sure to take the long way to the address, which was a note provided with the directions provided. This will set you up for the driveway.

Martha’s place is absolutely beautiful! We brought our own grill grate and cooked almost all of our meals over a campfire in the fire pit (without the solo stove) with prior approval. The lot is perfectly shaded by the trees with just a few areas of sunlight shining down throughout the day. No issues at all with mosquitoes. The bonus is the Arrowhead Lodge which is located just down the road (car or bike; kind of far to walk). The lodge has a restaurant with a FANTASTIC beer garden. Next time we will plan all of our afternoons around lounging (and drinking) in the beer garden.

Beautiful aspen trees and wildlife

This is a wooded one acre lot with lots of aspen trees and wildlife! We saw a bear, a fox, and a coyote and enjoyed listening to all of the bird songs. There are houses and campers in the area with both full time residents and people who spend their summers there, and there was quite a bit of ATV traffic going by the site, which didn’t bother us whatsoever. It’s important to know that it’s about a 25 minute drive up an uneven gravel road to get to the site from the main road. From the main road, I think it was about 45-50 minutes to the nearest town, and it was a 60 minute drive from the site to the entrance of Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. So if you’re looking to get away from it all but still have full hookups, then this is a good place for you! Oh and we thought it was great to have the Arrowhead Mountain Lodge just 5 minutes from the site and enjoyed dinner there both nights. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming and the food was very good!

This camping spot was great! The area is full of drives, hikes, and views. It is close to Black Canyon, and a spot where you can rent ATVs. Water and electric hookups worked great and were readily available. WiFi worked great and was an excellent bonus for the kids. Highly recommend.

Martha was a welcoming host and checked in to see if we needed anything and even offered a discount if we needed to extend our stay. Site was not completely level which the hosts had anticipated and brought in many pavers to use. Unfortunately lots of these pavers were in broken pieces scattered around the camping pad. The hookups were a little far off the camping pad which required us to park our camper van in a less than ideal way, a problem we had not had at other sites. Maybe a bigger rig doesn’t have this issue? Overall a nice location in a safe and well maintained development.

What a special place. We enjoyed our stay at Martha and Greg's lot. The setting was beautiful. It was worth the drive up the mountain to get there. Greg met us and escorted us the last mile or so to the site and helped us to get set up. It is a great place to get away from it all and enjoy the beauty and quiet. We have a 33' 5th wheel, and while it took a little patience to get set up, it fit just fine. All hook-ups worked great. Internet was provided, however we were able to use our Starlink (despite the wooded lot), which was great. Highly recommend this lot provided you don't mind taking it slow the last stretch to get there. The hosts are lovely and want to make sure you have everything you need for your stay.

This campsite was perfect for our small group. It had a cozy feel to it and loved having access to the Arrowhead Community down the road. Martha provided great communication and flexibility for us during our stay there and really appreciated all her help! Wifi was nice to have when we needed it and to communicate with her whenever we needed more firewood throughout the weekend. Highly recommend this spot as it has a lot of things to do in the area and the hospitality was excellent!

Martha and Greg were super host and made my stay perfect! They were very attentive and accommodating. The lot is perfect for an RV with all the hookups. The Aspens are beautiful and you'll see plenty of deer while you having your morning coffee. I highly recommend renting their space! If you're looking for a peaceful spot with fantastic people to deal with, then this is the ideal place.

If you are looking for a spot to not just park your camper, van or tent but to also have access to the beautiful southwestern mountain towns and trails of Colorado- look no further and book now! Our stay at the Darbywoods Mountain Lot was exactly what we needed and more than we could have hoped for. Martha and Greg were extremely helpful from initial communications upon booking up through arrival- their hospitality and kindness were top notch. The Arrowhead community is so peaceful and while the lot was just the right size, the added amenities (gravel pad, water, shaded coverage, privacy, picnic table, etc.) elevated the experience beyond just a plot of dirt in the woods- Darbywoods Mountain lot offered a more of a private home-away-from-home oasis. Our 2 dogs, along with my wife and I, enjoyed being able to walk along and explore the private community roads and enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Its location also gave us easy access to some of our favorite surrounding towns to enjoy the trails (Ouray, Lake City, and Telluride) as well as able to explore new sights and experiences. We absolutely enjoyed our time from the moment we arrived and are already talking about when we can return. Thank you again Martha and Greg for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful piece of the woods with us! We look forward to visiting again.

The site was private and quiet, very peaceful. Our host provided detailed instructions and the GPS was accurate. We loved having coffee in the morning, listening to the birds and watching deer walk by. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful, amazing spot! With the wifi we were able to stay connected to work (sadly) when needed. Nestled in a gorgeous, spread out community with all nature has to offer but also some nice community amentities too. We felt very safe and really enjoyed this location central to all the area has to offer. We immediately rebooked for a few months from now to catch the aspens changing!

This stay was wonderfully quiet with many deer sitings. FHU was great and hiqh quality fire pit was included. Hosts were wonderfully accommodating and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
