Located at the base of the Sierra foothills, the lake and recreation area offers opportunities for hiking, biking, running, camping, picnicking, horseback riding, water-skiing and boating. Fishing offers trout, catfish, big and small mouth bass or perch. Visitors can also see the Folsom Powerhouse (once called "the greatest operative electrical plant on the American continent"), which from 1885 to 1952 produced 11,000 volts of electricity for Sacramento residents.
For cyclists, there is a 32-mile long bicycle path at Beals Point that connects Folsom Lake with many Sacramento County parks before reaching Old Sacramento. The park also includes Lake Natoma, downstream from Folsom Lake, which is popular for crew races, sailing, kayaking and other aquatic sports.
At both locations, you will stay in 16ft deluxe tents. Each tent has 2 full beds in them.
At Beals Point we offer "Luxury" Glamping with real furniture, cozy bedding, and all the amenities you need for a relaxing and fun filled stay for up to 8 people (AT BEALS POINT ONLY!).
At both Beals Point and Peninsula, we also offer "Basic" Glamping, where we bring the tent and mattresses, and you bring the rest. Beautiful quiet area limited to three campsites. Beautiful views, lots of trees and paths to walk. Dogs allowed. Ran into the owner who was lovely and available if anything was needed. No wi fi and difficult cell service so be prepared for that - which was really actually very nice with these days being so technology driven. I was able to grab a satellite off and on. No hook ups so come self contained.

I will definitely camp here again, the views are amazing and it is so quiet! There were three of us and three dogs, we had an amazing time! Decided to take my brother camping for the first time in his life and this was the perfect spot. Clean surroundings, flat ground for tent, and no service (great for spending time with teenagers lol). Hosts are very nice and helpful! The weather was also great, sunny during the day with a slight breeze and cool nights. Listening to the creek while winding down at the end of the day was my favorite part. Overall we had a great stay and plenty of space to relax comfortably.

All around great experience. Everything was provided as listed. There was a bbq pit, fire pit, table, cabana and a spacious tenet. The walk to the lake is near, but you can also use your parking pass to park near the lake.

Steve and his family are such great hosts! So fast to respond and very informative. They have a radio or you can also text for any requests such as fire wood, toiletries, utensils etc. We really loved the pool area! The water is warm enough to jump in anytime. My kids didn’t want to get out. Kitchen and bar area is clean and spacious for big groups. We all took turns cooking on the propane grill or charcoal. Water is everywhere for your needs. They have a few refrigerators for your food and drinks. They provide 3-4 outdoor bathrooms for campers. Super clean and maintained.
The lodge is also nice and has that cabin feel to it. For those who don’t want to sleep in tents it’s ok. The fun is only 2 mins away walking distance! I suggest bringing your bikes, their space is endless with a dirt bike track. At night they have lights everywhere. My friends and I brought our dj devices and played music until 11pm or so. If you can party longer, feel free to party until the curfew, 2am!
Such a great find, I will shut up now. Go book this place and enjoy your time here! You won’t regret it!

We had our annual Camping trip with our 4 & 9 year old grandsons. It was a perfect spot for us.
They lived the fishing and frogs! We spent time in the canoe and on the paddle board.
The trailer was also a great refuge from the heat and had all the amenities we needed to make it cozy and easy. You will love the peaceful pond! We also made a journey to the Yuba (close) so there are plenty of fun things to do here. Thanks for being such a responsive host Nicole!

The property is a wonderland. So much space and so much to explore. The pool area was the centerpiece, newly redone pool liner, clean water. We made use of the charcoal grill although the gas grill came in handy for some things as well. There are numerous other cooking plates and such. Ample shade made it very enjoyable in the heat of the day. Firewood was provided and that was amazing for hanging out later at night when it got cold. The lounge looks a lot better than the photos, a lot of sleeping space and found the beds very comfy. The hosts were super friendly and I enjoyed the walk throughs. Would love to book again!

First off the place is beautiful, the grounds are immaculate, potable water available, the porta potty was also very clean. Denise and Rick are fantastic hosts stopped by to say high and we had Rick sit and hang with us for a bit to tell us the history of the land. He was very nice and even came back to sing my wife happy birthday with his accordion. Super cool people. On property hiking along the creek to a larger river and a near by lake to cool off in. 5 stars all the way.

This is a gorgeous property. The river and the watering hole are worth the hike. Bring your rations and beverages for the day. Denise was a wonderful host. Boondocking at its best. Also, we have decent Verizon service for those who cannot complete disconnect.

We had a great time on a weekend group trip with about 25 people. The cabin was wonderful and the campsites were just as described. We spent most of our time at the pool area which was spectacular. Overall great experience at this beautiful place. Would strongly recommend to anyone looking to plan a group getaway. Thank you so much to Steve, Kim and Harriet for sharing your space with us.
