This was our second stay, which made this experience especially disappointing. We enjoyed our first visit enough to return and booked Sites 1–7 months in advance for a family event.
To be fair, we were a large group, we weren’t perfect, and another campsite made a noise complaint. We acknowledged it, apologized, and adjusted. We understood their concerns and never expected our group to be prioritized over other campers.
Our disappointment was with how the situation was handled. I called about a separate concern involving a white truck that drove through and kicked up significant dust directly where our group was eating. I simply wanted to know if the vehicle was affiliated with the campground, especially since someone we did not recognize as the host had also approached us.
Unfortunately, I never felt I was able to fully explain why I was calling. The conversation kept returning to complaints about our group, and the host stated he had “no sympathy” for us or our group. The tone felt dismissive and unprofessional.
The host suggested Lagoon Site 7, which we were actually open to. With better communication, I believe we could have found a reasonable solution.
We take responsibility for the noise complaint and made adjustments. We simply expected our concerns to receive the same consideration. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable return visit.
