23 ft travel trailer
I was the first hip camper at this location. Amazing views of the valley below, farmland and ranches. During my stay, it was very windy and raining the first few days unfortunately so I didn’t get to see the views all the way to Sacramento until my last day. If you’re looking for quiet and remote away from town, this is your spot.
A few things to note and I’ve shared with Darwin the property owner:
-About a mile out the road in is gravel so it’s a bit bumpy but drivable for 2WD.
-the driveway up is also gravel until you get to the barn and then it’s paved. There is a bit of a bump at that spot where it transitions to paved so just be careful and go slow..
-once at the top, there is a nice space for I’d say up to a 25 foot trailer. Anything larger is going to have trouble turning around. There were some low hanging branches at the top of the driveway that hit the top of my trailer on my way up, but he trimmed them before I left, which was great.
-Darwin is very friendly and super helpful wanting to make sure my stay was a good one. He was kind enough to help me back in my trailer since it took a bit of maneuvering.
-there is a water spigot and he has an extension cord for 110v power.
He asked for suggestions, I gave him several like adding in a 30 amp outlet (summer heat for A/C) and he has the capability to put in a sewer drain closer to the parking spot. There is a proper drain, but it’s up against the house and there’s a pool fence to go through.

Booked as a last min overnight trip, my boyfriend and I had a great time. Good privacy, great view of the delta, and very nice bathrooms. Hoping to come back with more friends to fish

Very nice site. Sadly the creek was dry but it was to be expected. Bathroom were super clean. Very nice to have filtered water available on site . Brand new fire pit with propane ( we left a grill so other can cook over it :) ). It’s a very quiet space , can’t hear anything but nature and it’s a huge site !! Owners are very welcoming , nice to be able to meet them and chat a bit . Very friendly couple . Thank for you for having us

Had a great weekend camping with my young kids and a couple other dads and their kids. The kids loved the creek. Bathroom was clean and potable water was available. We’d definitely come back.

Really nice open area that can easily accommodate multiple families. fun grassy area for activities. the bar lights are a really nice feature. the creek was fun for the kids to splash around in and catch frogs.
fire pit by the creek and picnic table was great.
easy to get to - access is not a problem. nearby great little towns Calistoga and Middletown. Only 15 min from Clear Lake.

Great spot! The creek running through the location is awesome! Big enough for a large group, and lots of space for bag throwing, ladder ball, etc. The awesome lighting makes it amazing at night. I am really happy I found this spot and look forward to my next trip here.

I was in town for a day and a bit, and I was able to park my truck by the river after making dinner, and warm up by my little propane fire. The whole grounds were clean and presentable! Bathroom was spotless, and the caretaker Craig (it could totally be Greg, but I’m horrible with names) was out and about when I arrived-great handshake and happy to help if you need anything! Proximity to the road didn’t end up coming into play as the road is pretty low traffic. It was more a periodic woosh almost like beach sounds, rather than engine noise, I really slept quite well! Julie is easy to reach and an amicable host. Will be back if I’m in that neck of the woods in the future for sure.

18 ft campervan
A great spot if you’re looking for privacy, and they lock the gate after dark so no other vehicles can come onto the property. So no being boxed in, no noisy other campers. If you have a pup with you, you will need to drive somewhere to walk them as it’s right on the highway and there’s not much walking on the property if you like long walks. Ground is level and firm- so no need to worry about balancing your van/rv/trailer. The view of the Sacramento River is beautiful, and you can park right by the water. Owner of property is friendly and communicative.
