The Feather River Hot Springs offers you a stunning and serene mountain getaway. We are located on State Highway 70 along the East Branch of the North Fork of the Feather River in the canyon. There are 5 tent sites and 5 RV sites, as well as 3 cabins available for your stay. All very close to the river. Overnight stays include the use of a natural sulphur hot springs beside the Feather River. It is small, accommodating six persons max at one time. Guests are able to book a private reservation for two or more for $120. Young children are not allowed in or at the Springs, must be teens and up. There is a sign up board for shared soaks at check in cabin. The Springs are a short walk from the RV sites and camping. Swimsuits required, no glass containers, smoking or pets. There are three cabins that sleep max of two adults. Pets are not allowed. They are nonsmoking cabins. The cabins are very close to one another. There is a shared outdoor cooking area. Five tent sites of different sizes are all along the river. Five RV sites as well to accommodate from small trailers to 40’ . Please check accommodations size before booking. Pets are welcome in RV and camping areas but must be on a leash at all times. Limit one pet per site. Aggressive dogs or excessive barking is not permitted and you will be asked to leave. Pets are not allowed down at the tubs. Campfires are by request, weather permitting. Quiet time is from 10pm to 9am. Excessively loud music not allowed. This is a very small resort, a mutual respect for al guests and the property is a top priority. This has been my home for over 15 years, it’s not a facility. Quaint and rustic but often referred to as magical. Not just a stopover on your way to somewhere else but hopefully a destination that you will want to return to again and again. Spring, summer or fall there’s always something new to experience on the Feather River!

Huckleberry bushes and ferns grow abundantly. The place lends itself to self-reflection and introspection. There is space for 1 RV with a patio table and chairs and some sun loungers. There are also 2 tent sites available on the property, located in one large area, further away from the RV sites. Barely 7 minutes away is downtown Gualala, with amenities such as 2 supermarkets, pharmacy, bakery, restaurants and more. There is a beautiful holistic gift store, The Sea Trader, Four Eyed Frog Bookstore, and some lovely art galleries in town.   Kayaking is available at the Gualala River. Hiking at Gualala Regional Park, the Bluff Trail, The Sea Ranch public access beaches, Stump Beach, Salt Point Park with a petrified forest, Bowling Ball Beach with its amazing natural formations (can only be seen fully at low tide of more than -0.2m), Manchester State Beach, Elk Beach, and more. Swimming at the Navarro River, and various bays. It is a place of incredible scenic beauty all along CA 1. Watch whales spouting during whale season. (Gray whales and orcas is December to May. For humpbacks, visit May through November, and for blue whales, the largest animal on Earth, plan your stay between July and October). Bower Park, just 0.5 miles away with a lovely lake, tennis courts, a baseball field, a basketball court, and two separate playgrounds. Play disc golf or hike along the nature trail/fitness course. Anchor Bay is 5 miles up CA 1, with a supermarket, a few cafes, restaurants (including a great Thai place!) laundromat, hair salon, and more. The quaint town of Point Arena is 12 miles north, with a supermarket, Frannie's Cup And Saucer, The Bird Cafe, a beautiful historic lighthouse, a theater, a pier, a mini-safari park (B Bryan Preserve with zebras, giraffes and more. Tours need to be booked in advance). Also visit Roots, a natural pharmacy for herbs, teas and supplements.  There are also spots like Occidental, Bodega Bay, Jenner (with the Russian River to kayak and swim) and Timber Cove, all on the way to Gualala from the south. Bodega Bay has lovely spots to eat, with clam chowder, fish and chips. Enjoy wind and water sports, and walk on the pier.

The 40’ long deck spans the length of the secluded tiny house overlooking the forest to distant mountains and has alfresco dining area and plenty of furniture for cozying as well as hot tub sited for star gazing and firepit seating all within a large fenced yard to keep your fur babies close by. In addition, we have developed 2 forest therapy trails that will bring your ability to slow down and connect to nature to a whole new level and encourage you to try it using our MP3 forest therapy audio guide.. If you need to accommodate a larger group, check out Pinky's Nature Hideout which has a full kitchen, spacious living room, fenced yard for pets, corn hole, large deck and hot tub sited for star gazing, and firepit seating which overlooks the forest to distant mountains. It sleeps 4 people but the "Lounge" vintage Spartan trailer which is located behind the bunkhouse can be rented to sleep an additional 2 people and is only available to Pinky's guests. We provide guests the opportunity to really get away from it all in a untouched forest and chaparral setting with all the amenities one needs for a comfortable stay. Come getaway alone, with friends or family to our sweet little petfriendly glampsite CAMP CHESTER hidden under the oaks which features a vintage 1949 Canned Ham Tiny Trailer (sleeps 2 in a double and one on couch) , a 10 x 12 safari tent on deck w/queen bed, an outdoor kitchen with dining area and barista bar, bath house with hot water, rain-shower, claw-foot tub , compost toilet looking out to acres of sage and distant mountains and firepit. The owners are artisan builders and seasoned hosts who promise guests privacy and quiet. The camp is totally fenced for the safety of your pets and suitable for up to 6 people but sleeps up to 5 additional person(s) can bring tent. . It offers guests the opportunity to really get away from it all in a untouched forest and chaparral setting but offers all the amenities one needs for a comfortable stay. Camp Chester is a seasonal site and closed January thru March.

Weekend Trip to Feather River Hot Springs

Great trip. We stayed in the Logger's cabin and it was beautiful. The area is nice, right on the river and the hot springs were great. Rocky was a wonderful host and took great care of us. We really enjoyed the trip and want to go back with friends. There is a lot of exploring and cool stuff to do in the area also. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mikael’s Desert Stargazer Cabin! The property was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly peaceful. The jacuzzi was a highlight—perfect for relaxing under the stars. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully set up, making for a comfortable and memorable desert escape. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to future Hipcampers.

Cool spot to stay at for a few days. There are definitely some things that need to be improved (which they know), but it was overall a great place. My family loved the private hot tub and probably used it twice a day. We would stay here again.

Absolutely loved our stay! I have a 13 inch beagle and I thought I would have to tether her the entire stay because the description says it is not fenced. Come to my surprise, it was able to be enclosed that my pup couldn’t find a way out. If she were any smaller she probably would have been able to get through the metal fence. It was so nice being able to let her roam freely. We loved being in sync with the sun and the moon and stargazing from the hot tub! It was perfect for what we were looking for! The neighborhood is lovely, there is even a small farm stand down the street where we were able to purchase some local eggs.

The beautiful drive along the Feather River was breathtaking! Our cabin was very clean and lacking nothing for a perfect night stay. The walk down to the private hot springs was very safe and the soak in the hot springs was relaxing and private. All was perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway!

The Stargazer was an exceptional find. I will start with the host Mikael who provided a professional introduction and assisted in making recommendations for hikes, restaurants and things to do. The property was easily accessible and absolutely stunning. The hot tub was already on and ready for entry upon arrival. The place was well stocked and clean. There was only one other place I found on Hipcamp that matched the amenities I was looking for and this place was $150 cheaper, not to mention the owner gave me a military discount on top of that!

Our stay in the Sunset Cabana was serene and relaxing with an amazing view of the forest. Waking up to the morning light on the trees was so lovely. The cabana itself is so well built and cozy! The BBQ and deck has incredible views of Santa Cruz. We didn't get a chance to get in the hot tub but I so appreciated having it there. The host Vaza is friendly, gave us some great recommendations for hiking, and helped us get settled in. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend!

Vanessa had a stunning home and we were so lucky to be able to enjoy relaxing there! The sunset views were absolutely unmatched and the stars were beyond beautiful. Be aware that the ladders can be a bit difficult to navigate up to the loft in a stable manner if you're taller/ larger. But other than that, incredible!
