In northeastern Napa County, Lake Berryessa is unknown to many California Wine Country visitors. Those who find it are rewarded with a place to go boating, kayaking, water-skiing, paddleboarding, trout and bass fishing, and bird-watching. With summertime water temperatures reaching the 70s°F, you can even enjoy swimming here, unlike the cold waters of the nearby Pacific. Hiking trails and day use areas offer space to explore, picnic, and play in the water. From the southwestern tip of the lake, it’s just a 30-minute drive to the wineries along Napa’s Silverado Trail. Resorts with a mix of cabin rentals, watercraft rentals, and camping can be found on the southern end of the lake, where the cabins are typically rustic. Some have kitchens, and some allow pets. Cabin rentals can also be found on the western side of the lake. Pay attention to wildfire warnings in the summer and fall.

Excellent Group Site! We only host one group at a time so you can be with your family and friends in a large, flat and private space. Choose between the campground, the cabin, or both! You can add the cabin to your campground stay under "extras'! The land was originally purchased in the 1980's. Since then, it has been used by four generations of the family as a place to gather, relax, camp and even celebrate. I had my wedding on the property in 2010. For a few years we held an annual music festival with the very inventive name of Samapalooza. Up to 400 people would attend the day filled with live music, food and drinks. You will still find the stage and bar we built as an outdoor kitchen and dining area. Around 2008, my father and I planted our first olive trees. Many have been planted since which has gifted the land the timeless sense of purpose it deserves. My father dedicated his last years to tending the young trees and now I have taken the mantle to carry the farm forward. 'The Property', as it is known amongst family and friends has always been a place to camp. I have sat around the same fire ring for decades, rain or shine. I hope that fellow hipcampers can find the joy that my family and I have experienced here. This is a very private camp on a small olive farm. Geographically close to highways and the town of Novato, Sonoma and Napa wine country, this camp feels remote and secluded. Only one camp on the property to keep it private and special. You basically have your run of the land. We have just updated the land and made some nice improvements. Located on ten acres, you will drive past a small olive grove before reaching the spacious and open campground. Just up the hill from the camp is a private pond where you can fish, take out a small boat or just sit and watch the birds. It can be great swimming on hot summer days. This spot has been used by the family for decades and is now open to share with fellow nature lovers. Just a note: While the majority of the time you can expect complete privacy, this is a working olive farm. From time to time you may run into me (Sam) or someone else associated with the land. We will always do our best to respect your space.

If you think you may have problems with any of these things PLEASE DON'T COME!!! We also have a dog named Sara that loves people. Most campers that come are very happy to have her around. She is polite and good with children. Some of you may not like dogs, if that is the case this will not be a fun experience for you. Ettawa Springs Resort dates back to the 1920s like the fashionable resorts in the Cobb area where the rich and famous came to play. But Ettawa was oriented towards families and a more relaxed and rustic atmosphere. We are working hard to restore her to her former glory. We are excited to announce that we have one cabin and a few campsites ready for use and will be adding more as we go. The campground offers hot showers and flush toilets, two sites in the Glade have running water and power. The cabin is a fully equipped studio with kitchen and bathroom. You can hike through our property to the Boggs Mountain Demonstration Forest or just enjoy the clean air and listen to the wind and the birds. On clear nights the stars put on an amazing show. Clear Lake is about 45 minutes away with all the fishing and water sports you could ask for. Harbin Hot Springs are 15 minutes away and they offer day passes for reasonable rates. We are located about 20 minutes outside of Middletown. Be aware that half of the road is dirt (and that's better than the asphalt half) all of it is fine for small cars, just take your time. The last 1/2 mile or so is a one lane road, so please be careful of opposing traffic and uneven surfaces. We cannot accommodate vehicles longer than 28’ on these roads. Please do not take County Road 110 from Boggs/Cobb - it is not maintained at all. We offer California camping at its finest. Fresh air, whispering trees, amazing star fields . . . this can mean the less attractive side of nature as well. We have ticks, rattlesnakes, stinging things, poison oak, uneven trails and surfaces, and a bear on one ridge with mountain cats on the other (no sign of either in the campground). We keep the restroom stocked with Tecnu for the poison oak, but please watch yourselves and especially children. Dogs are welcome, but should be kept on lead and inside at night for their own protection and the comfort of others. We are fairly hands off in our hosting approach. Unless there's a question or problem, you likely won't see us. But we have people close by and are only a message away.

Nestled in the redwoods, we have two units. The "Cazita" is a fully-equipped studio cabin with full kitchen and bathroom. The "Redwood Nest" is a standalone tiny cabin/sleeping space with no cooking facilities. There is an attached composting toilet and access to an outdoor open air shower. Both offer quiet seclusion and easy access to all that the lower Russian River Valley has to offer. We are close to both the Russian River, Austin Creek, the coast beaches (15 minute drive), stellar cycling routes and many amazing trails for hiking. Our south-facing property receives full sun unlike many redwood locations. The "Fairy Rings" have been trimmed up for fire prevention and offer great views and opportunities to appreciate the magnificence of these Redwood giants that we love. There is great coffee and Amazing pastries at Gold Coast just a mile away in Duncan's Mills. Jenner is only about 15 mins away with Cafe Aquatica and River's End Restaurant (reservations needed-SO good and special) The "Cazita" sleeps up to 3 guests in a king bed and sofa sleeper and has a bathroom with flush toilet and shower. It has a fully-equipped kitchen with everything needed to prepare your meals. There is a 2 night minimum for booking. The "Redwood Nest" is a standalone room featuring a queen bed and bay window looking out onto a redwood stand. There is a composting toilet in the attached outhouse and an outdoor sink. There are no cooking facilities and no cooking allowed. The redwood nest is really perfect for a couple looking to eat out and then sleep, fully at peace beneath the Redwoods. Please note that there is a friendly dog on the property (although we do not accept pet guests). This property is ideal for quiet people who want to get away into nature, enjoy the outdoors. It is dark at night- we do not have exterior lighting except for string lights and provided flashlights. Quiet hours begin at 9:30pm. There is absolutely no smoking of any kind permitted on the property. Although some reviews mention a hot tub, it is no longer available to guests (sorry, maintenance issues)

Each of our areas, whether for entertaining or residing, has its own theme and is decorated with care. Each of the listings has it's own private deck or patio and then you have access to all of the common areas on the property We promise you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but you are minutes from everything. Lulu’s Landing and Captain Wack’s Cove is a pirate-themed Creekside hangout, where you can enjoy a fire, except during banned season. Also a great place to capture a glimpse of the numerous critters that cruise our creek. Foxes, Deer, Squirrels, Otters, Ducks and Herons as well as numerous songbirds that feed from our bird feeder. Lulu’s Lanai is a Flamingo-themed outdoor living room and dining area with fun vintage furniture and décor. The Take- A -Liki- Tiki Shower Shack is a great place to cool off and clean up after a day on the river or exploring tidepools at the coast. There is even a puppy bath station behind it for your furry friends! The Wack Shack is our outdoor bar and grill, full of fun, colorful lights and signs. There’s plenty of equipment to cook there: appliances, a BBQ, sink, fridge and walk-up bar. We also have several apple trees, a pear tree, and tons of blackberries when in season to share with our guest. Our Veggie Garden will be available next season to enjoy also. We are constantly improving our property so please stay in the finished designated guest areas only until we open up the coming attractions. There are plenty of sites and destinations within minutes from our home too! We have Tennis, Pickle Ball, and Basketball Courts around the corner. The Russian River/ Monte Rio public beach is a short walk past the Parks and Recreation Center, and they rent Kayaks and Canoes during the summer months. The Redwood Alliance camp is just a few miles up Bohemian Hwy if you dare to zip line through the redwood canopy forest or Armstrong woods in Guerneville for those that would rather keep their feet on the ground and take a hike Duncan's Mill is a quaint town (less than 3 miles from us) on your way to Jenner by the Sea which is just about 9 miles to the west of us. You can take a gorgeous coastal drive to Bodega that is only 15 miles away. Historic Fort Ross is another beautiful 20 mile coastal drive. Bike Enthusiast love the back roads out here and the Biggest Attraction Is… Wait for it…. Wineries are everywhere! During the summer there are several Music Venues close by too. The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville. The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. Zac Brown, Steve Miller, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor are just a few Headliners that have been here in the past. We have a great Lightwave coffee shop across the creek that is a quick 5 minute walk. There are several restaurants along the river as well as a small grocery store, movie theater, and a Homemade Ice Cream Parlor that are all close enough to walk to or drive. You also have access to the outdoor picnic area under the fig tree which has a BBQ, picnic table and sink for rinsing dishes. There is no indoor shower, but we do have a rustic outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Tent space We have a small orchard in front of the Nopal Studio. There is room for two tent sites. No camp fires are allowed in the orchard. If it is winter time, we do have a fire ring in the fig tree picnic area, as well as a propane BBQ. The bathroom is shared with the cabins. We have farm animals and dogs which can be loud. The dogs chase squirrels and bark maniacally, and the ducks quack at sunrise, like, lots! There are also spiders, wasps, bees, rattlesnakes etc!! Please be aware, this is snake country!

Ravens Landing burnt down in 2015 and since then, I and many friends and artists have been rebuilding using recycled lumber and various objects that survived the fires. You are responsible for them! *Children must be comfortable and respectful around animals. *Kids fill this space with their amazing energy so please make sure you account for them in your reservation. If your kids are walking they are considered little people and are charged at regular price. Please inform during booking there will be kids in your party, possibly we can reserve a site closer to amenities. MORE INFO: All campers get access to our hand built cob kitchen and the epic dining hall deck. There is a communal gas fire pit and BBQ. It’s a very sunny property so please bring a canopy for shade if you want it over your campsite, remember to bring stakes, it can be windy here. *Water is gold here so make every drop count, arrive with water conservation in mind. And please bring your own drinking water=) *We are off-grid with no amenities from the city so please be mindful of how much trash you’ll leave behind. If drinking alcoholic beverages we ask that campers take their empties. Ask for a bag if you need it. *We ask campers to arrive between 1pm at 9pm. If possible a general ETA helps as well. *Please keep your dog on a leash at all times. Our animals roam freely. * It’s always a journey finding magical places so just a sweet heads up, our mountain dirt road is a bit bumpy. The cabin was cozy and nice. It had a fire pit and gardens nearby. There was also some rather spectacular scenery on Sherman Island with the windmills out in the distance and the marsh land nearby. The hosts were friendly and great.

1 night at The Olive Farm

The host is super nice (we lost an antique earring and he went out of his way saying he’s a master at finding them and found it and is sending it!)… The cabin is super sweet, plenty of windows for cross breeze, a nice deck to sit out on. One full or queen bed and one double twin day bed, plenty of dimmable lighting, string lights on the outside. The porta potties were very clean and not smelly at all. Would definitely go back again, except for two nights instead of one, because it was too short!

I stayed in Cabin 2 on a very impromptu road trip, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my adventure. I arrived after dark but instantly felt so welcomed with a magical set up of twinkle lights, beautiful plants, and the coziest little collection of buildings. The cabin itself was perfect. Rachel has included so many beautiful touches and it's cozy and welcoming without being cluttered with too many unnecessary pieces. In the morning, I got to experience beautiful views, wake up to the farm animals, and take my time exploring the space. I loved my time here and very much look forward to coming back.

Weekend Trip to Unhitched Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina

We had such a wonderful weekend at Snug Harbor! It was our first time staying here, and we loved being by the water, enjoying the sunsets, fishing, and just spending quality time as a family. The glamping setup made it comfortable for my parents while still giving us that fun outdoor experience. Terri was also very accommodating and responsive, which we truly appreciated. We left with beautiful memories and already miss the peaceful feeling of being there. Sometimes the best trips aren’t about going far—they’re about having the right people beside you and enough time to enjoy each other. Snug Harbor gave us exactly that. ❤️

Weekend Trip to Cabins in W County Sonoma Redwoods

We absolutely loved the Redwood Nest! It's in such a beautiful area and the little cabin is perfect. It was a great experience to be in the redwoods but also have open space to see the stars and have a cup of coffee in the sun. A couple specific things that made the trip great: - the outdoor shower with views of the forest :) - the set up and decor of the redwood nest; it feels very comfortable and cozy - it's easily accessible with a low car; the road and driveway are easy to navigate - it's a quick drive to great cafes, lunch spots, restaurants, beaches, hikes, etc - communication was easy, friendly and straightforward Loved it and would go back in a heartbeat!

My daughter and I really enjoyed staying in the Cozy Cabin for a weekend away together. The cabin is indeed "cozy" and comfortable, and we loved the various gathering spaces outdoors. On our last evening my daughter enjoyed the hot tub while I sat by the fire so we could chat! Our stay was great, we enjoyed our weekend very much. The only suggestion id make is that the cabin be cleaned better, the window sills were dirty and the blinds needed cleaning. Price was great, cooking equipment and utensils were ok, they served the need. One last thing is the playground for the kids for sure needs work, I would love to bring my grandkids but there would not be much for them to do.

Great place to disconnect and enjoy nature in a peaceful setting. Have been here twice in August 2022 & 2026. Trek down to a beautiful rocky, clear water pond that is totally quiet…not a person around. Enjoy floating in an inner tube (provided), read, relax and a dog’s haven to swim. Cook inside or out on the grill. While this place is not about luxury, it makes up for in ambience.

Camp Caz was such a special and unique experience. The property itself is gorgeous. Coming from a busy neighborhood filled with constant noise, our stay felt so peaceful and private. It was a nervous system reset. The cabin is spacious, featuring beautiful wood details and epic window views. We really enjoyed the fire pit, making s'mores under a clear view of the stars. Creek access is perfect, offering a large area to sit and relax. The surrounding rocks and boulders are stunning up and down the creek. Although water levels were lower this time of year, there were still deeper spots to float and cool off. Our host, Carrie, provided helpful details and instructions, and communication was seamless throughout our stay. This was truly a wonderful escape. You can tell how much love and time went into making this Hipcamp what it is today. I am so thankful to have experienced it. Pro tip: save the access code prior to arriving at the property due to limited cell service.
