There are 33 giant sequoia groves in our Southern Region of the Giant Sequoia National Monument, some easily driven to, and some remote. Our ranch is a nature preserve and an education demonstration site, teaching sustainable and regenerative land use practices. River Ridge Institute, our non-profit, hosts a variety of events for the public. Please note: you are expected to leave the ranch and kitchen area as you found it, i.e., dishes washed thoroughly and dried and put away, recycling separated from trash, food scraps in compost buckets, sticky marshmallow removed from forks and surfaces (ick!). Our home is 1622 sq ft with plenty of space to make yourself comfortable. As you walk into our home you will see our open living room and oversized couch. You’ll then immediately see our kitchen and dining room. Our kitchen table seats 4 and we have 2 barstools in the kitchen for the bar area. Down the hallway you’ll see our first bedroom with a Queen size bed, the laundry room, and a hallway bathroom. Then straight ahead you’ll see our master bedroom with a bathroom a walk-in closet, full bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub. Our home does have AC/Heating by mini split units that are all new & purchased & installed in June 2022 and are maintained monthly. We also have 2 twin folding beds that can be set up in either bedroom or the living room. Purchased August 2022 for additional sleeping. Ring cameras are located on the outside of the property. No cameras are inside. Enjoy a nice evening on the front patio enjoying nature. A propane barbeque is located on the front porch. Absolutely no smoking on the property. Wildfires are common in & around the area & Three Rivers is a very high-risk area. Three Rivers has faced evacuation warnings in both 2020 & 2021 due to local raging wildfires. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING/FIRES ON/NEAR THE PROPERTY. BE ADVISED - Sequoia National Park has received significantly more snow and rain than normal this year (2023), which has resulted in some damage to some roadways within the park. MAKE SURE TO REVIEW THE SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK WEBSITE FOR CURRENT PARK CONDITIONS INFORMATION PRIOR TO BOOKING. *REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN IF THE AREAS IN THE PARKS YOU'RE WANTING TO VISIT ARE CLOSED* RULES: Maximum occupancy of 6 is strictly enforced. Then straight ahead you’ll see our master bedroom with a bathroom a walk-in closet, full bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub. Our home does have AC/Heating by mini split units that are all new & purchased & installed in June 2022 and are maintained monthly. We also have 2 twin folding beds that can be set up in either bedroom or the living room. Purchased August 2022 for additional sleeping. Ring cameras are located on the outside of the property. No cameras are inside. Enjoy a nice evening on the front patio enjoying nature. A propane barbeque is located on the front porch. Absolutely no smoking on the property. Wildfires are common in & around the area & Three Rivers is a very high-risk area. Three Rivers has faced evacuation warnings in both 2020 & 2021 due to local raging wildfires. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING/FIRES ON/NEAR THE PROPERTY. BE ADVISED - Sequoia National Park has received significantly more snow and rain than normal this year (2023), which has resulted in some damage to some roadways within the park. The Mountain Chapel Campground was fantastic! I stayed at the Rustic Cabin. It was very simple, but great. No frills but had everything I needed. Comfortable bed, clean linens, a couple chairs, a table, shelves, a desk. Close enough to walk along a well-lit path to the nice tile showers with hot water. I would definitely stay here again.

Our family absolutely loved this area! Great location! The camp was very well maintained and thought out. You can feel the love they have put into this property. The cabins were great and had everything we needed for our family of four. The kids (4&8) loved seeing the wild quail coveys, the star gazing nets and the sunset swing! The owners and camp host were very kind with wonderful communication. Both taking extra time to answer my questions about the land, property, buildings and a neighboring forest fire. We felt very comfortable and safe!!!

Kiley is super super quick to respond. The cabin was overall good but slightly more rustic than I had imagined. Our generator failed in the middle of the night in the second night which I think was just bad luck but meant we had no WiFi, which meant no signal at all in this area! There is cooling and a fan. It is right by Sequoia and King’s Canyon parks, but the drive from Three Rivers to the cabin ends up taking about 25 minutes extra. My one thing to improve- the towels were really nice but the bedsheets were polyester which I really hate, and made it super sweaty given the heat! View of the stars is amazing and super quiet up there, although the swamp cooler was pretty loud

This is the perfect place to relax! Truly! Ozzy and Diane are wonderful hosts, they gave me such a warm welcome. There are so many thoughtful details both inside the house and outside, I was amazed and already looking at dates for my next booking. The bed was so comfortable, I honestly didn’t want to get out of it.

Great host James, place is cute and comfy, as described, very quiet but does not feel isolated next to village road, August but did not feel too hot or cold if you take it easy (but watch out for bees!! they come for any moisture but not aggressive).

Nice place to getaway from the city life and just slow down for a bit. The stars were so clear and bright and listening to nature. The outdoor shower area is a nice touch! James def put in a lot of effort to make the area private.

Ray‘s Cabin is very spacious and beautifully decorated. It was very cosey. The area around was quiet and relaxing. And it is still close to Sequoia National Park. We loved hiking around the Cabin and visiting the National Park. Ray was very helpful and answered every question promtly. He also put together a wonderful Book for guests with all the hiking trails in the area. We greatly enjoyed our stay and deffinitly recommend Peacful Pines Place!

2 nights at Sequoia Highland Camp
We stayed here for our mini-moon and overall had a memorable and peaceful experience! The campground has a charming, rustic vibe and is tucked away in nature. It is the perfect for a quiet getaway. Wildlife is definitely active here! A bat managed to find its way into our cabin! Fortunately, the staff was very accommodating and were able to move us to a different cabin that was bat-free. Sunset Point is absolutely gorgeous, and the swing overlooking the view was chef’s kiss. The cabins are cozy, but just a heads-up: there’s no air conditioning. Even with all the windows open, it got pretty warm inside. Thankfully, there was a fan in the cabin, and we brought an extra one from home which helped a lot. One suggestion for future stays, I wish the cabin patios had lounge chairs. It would have been nice to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings more comfortably. I’ll definitely be packing a couple of my own next time!
