There's a lot more to Napa than cabernet sauvignon and Michelin stars, and one of the best places to discover the region’s outdoorsy side is Lake Berryessa, which stretches along the eastern side of California Wine Country. It’s a fantastic RV destination with boat ramps for those who are towing their own boats or Jet Skis and plenty of space for kayaking, water-skiing, paddleboarding, and swimming. Explore the trailheads and day use areas that dot the northern, western, and southern edges of the lake, and go fishing for bass and trout in the lake and adjacent Putah Creek. When you’re ready for that bottle of cab, head half an hour to Napa’s Silverado Trail for wine tasting. RV parks, resorts, and campgrounds are mostly found on the southern end of the lake, with a couple more along the western side. Hookups are not always available, especially during red flag warnings in wildfire season.

Finley Camp is nestled along Finley Creek in West Sonoma County. Campsites are located in open flats surrounded by Coast Doug Fir, Alder, and California Bay forests. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with cooking grate, and access to a porta potty and hand washing station. The campsites are located past the end of the county road allowing for a quiet peaceful experience. Enjoy a quiet stroll on site, the surrounding communities of Bodega, Bodega Bay, Valley Ford, and Tomales, or just enjoy a quiet day in camp. Our sites are located approximately 20 minutes from Bodega Bay. The campsites are 2.5 miles from the coast and the weather can be unpredictable. As a general rule, it is very similar to that of San Francisco. All camp sites are situated in a valley that offers protection from the coastal winds. The have both morning and evening shade. Sites #2, #6, #7, and #11 have the most space, while sites #4, #7, #8, #9 and #11 offer the most privacy. Sites 1-3, any combination of 5-7, and 12-13 are well suited for groups. Other site groupings work well depending on the number of sites being reserved. Site #8 is unique in that it has a wood deck/platform for tents. There are also NO wood fires allowed at site #8 as it is under the tree canopy. A propane firepit is provided for your use. You can bring a 5 gallon propane tank from home, or a full one is available for rent on site. Well behaved dogs are welcome at Finley Camp. All dogs must be kept on leash at all times while on the property. There are no exceptions to this. Finley Camp is located on an active cattle ranch and directly adjacent to a neighboring ranch with cattle. WE HAVE BEEF AGAIN! Beef is free range grass fed and all naturally raised. Located within 45 minutes of the wine country and 2 miles from the coast, our property is 400 acres of rolling hills and redwood groves, with a creek running along its base. With miles of trails meandering through quiet woods and meadows, you will be able to revel in the tranquility of a private preserve, without sacrificing easy access to some of Sonoma County's most famous attractions. A hundred years ago, this land was used to graze sheep. Remnants of the old fence lines can still be seen in places, along with old cement troughs. Since then, the land has been left to its own devices, passing through many hands, most famously owned by two brothers in the 1980's who built a truly amazing tree house in the forest which has been featured in several magazine articles. It was revamped and updated in 2016 by a master craftsman, using fallen redwood logs found on the property and is now a unique structural work of art, available for overnight stays. We produce 100% grass fed, dry-aged beef on our certified organic pastures and have a store on site if you would like to purchase delicious steaks, ribs, ground beef for hamburgers or some roasts to take home. Our cattle graze on the native grasses, never grain, and drink only water produced from our own springs. We also raise Kiko meat goats and produce pastured, certified organic duck eggs on a commercial basis. Whether it's surfing at sandy beaches, award-winning clam chowder, a wine tour, horseback riding or a hot air balloon ride you're after, you won't have far to drive if you make our ranch your base camp. You may see a family of deer appear suddenly, or a few Scottish Highland cows which we allow to roam freely over the property. There are over twenty species of wild birds that grace this protected spot, so bring your binoculars! A portion of your fee goes towards protecting native flora and fauna as part of our private wildlife preservation program. The Meadow Grove is a wild and natural pasture with campsites located near the historic Narrow Gauge Railroad bed on a family owned working ranch in coastal Northern California. The camp sites are nestled in a pasture and grove of mixed Eucalyptus, willow and cypress trees. The sites are perfect for tents or camper vans, or small trailers. [When we open in the spring, the grass can be 'slippery' and it is recommended you have 4WD. Around mid-June it is dried out enough for 2WD access to all sites]. Not suitable for RVs It is also, managed and operated by a single mother. Please keep this in mind. Notes about the campsites are: They each come with a picnic table. The grounds are a working ranch, so there is variations of the soil- some lumps and bumps and general natural state of a pasture v. a groomed lawn. Site #1, #2, #3, and #4 have the most level areas for parking and tent-ing. Up until mid-June, we recommend #1 for 2WD access. Campervans that do not have 4WD may have trouble accessing other sites. Please remember this when you book! *Campers who "change sites" without written approval by the host will be charged double!* There is a composting camp toilet, we do not have running water at the campground. The ranch itself is 300 acres of rolling hills pasture, with hilltop views of the Estero Americano valley. The Meadow Grove is home to many varieties of raptors and other birds-providing excellent bird watching. Seasonally there are blackberries to fill your containers, and some hiking. We are mere minutes from the quaint towns of Valley Ford, Tomales, and Dillon Beach, and a short drive from Bodega, Bodega Bay or Marshall, Pt. Reyes Station and Inverness. Nearby attractions include: Sonoma Coast beaches, Pt. Reyes National Seashore, coastal hiking trails, local farm-to-table eateries. Inland attractions include: redwoods, wine tasting, Russian River activities and so much more. The ranch borders Hwy 1, so there is some degree of road noise. Traffic usually dies down mid afternoon, and isn't too much of a disturbance. Virtually all traffic on our stretch of road is daytime traffic. There can be however, some heavy weekend traffic during the day with car clubs and motorcycle riders enjoying the coastal highway. *The Friendly Gray Cat's name is Boots!*

We are conveniently located off of US 101, therefore there may be some freeway noise, during commute hours especially. It has become like white noise to me, but it is only fair to mention it. We offer full hookups which consists of 50 amp & 110 volt electrical outlets, potable water, sewage dump. We also have one pigtail available (with a refundable deposit) if needed to convert 50 amp to 30 amp. We also have one place in the middle of our big vineyards with a 30 amp and water only. No sewer. Our sites are located one mile from Healdsburg plaza, the heart of Sonoma County Wine Country. Our town offers amazing wineries, fantastic restaurants, and quaint shops. It is an excellent place for wine lovers. There is a pre-prohibition winery right across the road called Foppiano. There are many other fabulous wineries are nearby. Ask the host for discount passes or complimentary tasting cards for some of the local wineries. We are in an excellent location for outdoor adventurers. There are plenty of hiking trails near by as well as bike rental shops for those who enjoy trekking, and even a couple of rafting places right here on the Russian River. We are close to places like Armstrong Woods, Safari West, Getaway Adventures, The Sonoma County Fairgrounds which hosts the Summer Country Concerts among other events, Harmony Festival, Santa Rosa Full Camp; Half Marathons Camp; 5K, Sonoma Zip-line Adventures, and Much More! For you foodies there are Savor Food Tours, Relish Culinary Adventures in addition to all the incredible restaurants in town. There is so much to do and see in our beautiful part of the world. Excellent Group Site! We only host one group at a time so you can be with your family and friends in a large, flat and private space. Choose between the campground, the cabin, or both! You can add the cabin to your campground stay under "extras'! The land was originally purchased in the 1980's. Since then, it has been used by four generations of the family as a place to gather, relax, camp and even celebrate. I had my wedding on the property in 2010. For a few years we held an annual music festival with the very inventive name of Samapalooza. Up to 400 people would attend the day filled with live music, food and drinks. You will still find the stage and bar we built as an outdoor kitchen and dining area. Around 2008, my father and I planted our first olive trees. Many have been planted since which has gifted the land the timeless sense of purpose it deserves. My father dedicated his last years to tending the young trees and now I have taken the mantle to carry the farm forward. 'The Property', as it is known amongst family and friends has always been a place to camp. I have sat around the same fire ring for decades, rain or shine. I hope that fellow hipcampers can find the joy that my family and I have experienced here. This is a very private camp on a small olive farm. Geographically close to highways and the town of Novato, Sonoma and Napa wine country, this camp feels remote and secluded. Only one camp on the property to keep it private and special. You basically have your run of the land. We have just updated the land and made some nice improvements. Located on ten acres, you will drive past a small olive grove before reaching the spacious and open campground. Just up the hill from the camp is a private pond where you can fish, take out a small boat or just sit and watch the birds. It can be great swimming on hot summer days. This spot has been used by the family for decades and is now open to share with fellow nature lovers. Just a note: While the majority of the time you can expect complete privacy, this is a working olive farm. From time to time you may run into me (Sam) or someone else associated with the land. We will always do our best to respect your space.

Welcome to Kimball Farm! We have cultivated our family farm to be a sanctuary - a place for people to feel the love of the earth, and what it has to offer us. Spectacular skies surround the farm, with roaming chickens, crowing roosters and vegetables, medicinal herbs, and fruits growing - a living model of what is beautiful AND possible in life. The cozy has a vibe of its own, and sits beside a sweet, peaceful pond, outdoor sitting area, and fire pit. There is plenty of room for additional tents and RV's. The convenience of accessible electricity, running toilets, hot water shower, gas grill and an additional covered sitting area make your camping adventure that much more comfortable. Super convenient to get here! We're less than 20 miles from the Sacramento Airport, and just a few minutes off of Interstate 5. Yet you'd never know it once you get to the farm and feel the peace and quiet. We're looking forward to seeing you soon! Additional note....Life on the farm is calm, peaceful and easy... operating with the natural rhythm of the sun cycle. What few clocks we do have, are stuck on twenty minutes past four. If you would like a tour of the cellar along with tasting please let me know. Please know that This is still camping and you will be subject to the elements of Mother Nature. Hot, cold, rain, wind, dirt, dust, mud and different animal sounds during the night. When you are here you may see frogs, toads, lizards, snakes (none poisonous) ants, turtles, squirrels, etc.. Those of you who have experienced camping before know that these are all normal things when out in nature but for those of you who have no camping experience I ask you to come with an open mind and a positive attitude towards a new experience. If you think you may have problems with any of these things PLEASE DON'T COME!!! We also have a dog named Sara that loves people. Most campers that come are very happy to have her around. She is polite and good with children. Some of you may not like dogs, if that is the case this will not be a fun experience for you. Please note that as of spring 2021 we no longer have as many animals. Because of the drought feed prices are too high.

The View at Gleanhaven If you're looking for full hookups and an RV resort, this probably isn't the site for you. If you're looking for unforgettable views, peaceful evenings, incredible sunsets, and one of the most scenic overlooks in Lake County, welcome to The View at Gleanhaven. Our private campsite sits above Clear Lake with panoramic views across the water toward Soda Bay. The overlook is so well known that the local Chamber of Commerce has used views from this road in promotional materials for the area. Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee, watching birds soar over the lake, or winding down after a day on the water, the scenery is the reason people fall in love with this spot. The campsite features a 29.5 × 35-foot compacted Class 2 aggregate RV pad, providing a solid, level place to park your RV or camper. The site does not currently have utility hookups: • No electrical hookup • No water hookup • No sewer hookup • No trash service (please pack out everything you bring in) A portable toilet is now provided on-site for guest use and is professionally serviced weekly. These amenities are planned for the future, but for now we're offering a simple, peaceful campsite focused on the experience rather than the extras. The access road includes a fairly steep climb (approximately a 22-degree grade) for the final approach. Most RVs can make it without issue, but your tow vehicle and RV should be capable of handling a sustained uphill pull. The road is paved but can be a little rough in places, so please drive slowly. The property is quiet, with very little traffic. There are neighboring homes nearby, but the area remains peaceful and the neighbors are respectful. Just down the hill, you'll find easy access to Clear Lake, including a convenient pullout where many locals stop to fish. Clear Lake is famous for its excellent bass fishing, boating, kayaking, birdwatching, and beautiful sunsets. This is one of the few Hipcamp sites in the area, making it a great home base for exploring Lake County while enjoying a private campsite with one of the best views around. Come for the lake. Stay for the sunset. Leave with memories you'll be talking about long after your trip is over.

Great place, Ferry isn't always running, one is completely down, the other has "occasional" staffing issues, the one that got us to Rio Vista was open, so good their. Rabbits everywhere!....little cute ones. The are in the process of "updating", so good job there, lots of nooks and crannies to fish from, can't wait to get back!

We love the quiet privacy of this Hipcamp. Our grandchildren had fun marveling at all the apple trees in the magical, vintage orchard that surrounds the 3 spacious campsites. The electrical and well water hookups were a big plus.

We had a very relaxing stay at Joseph’s apple orchard Hip Camp. Very quiet. We enjoyed nearby Occidental and walking down the road. We saw deer and quail! We were visiting family in Santa Rosa which was a beautiful drive down a variety of country roads! We also enjoyed a visit to Bodega Bay about 20 minutes away.

The orchard's ambience stood out to us. Apple trees and low-growing blackberries surrounded our campsite (#3). Joseph was accommodating and is helpful when you need him. There were two off-leashed and well-behaved dogs on the property. II highly recommend this camp if you want peace and quiet. MUST: Follow the directions to get to the place or you'll learn the hard way.

Site right on the water! Can’t find that for the price these days. Everyone is so friendly. Older campground with renovations in the works. Will be a gem once updates are complete. NOTE- Campground is hard to find if dependent on any of the online driving directions (Waze/mapquest/ etc). so when getting directions you must click “avoid ferries” box if you are an RV or have a travel trailer, but our Waze/mapquest kept wanting to update with new faster directions as we drove there that constantly led us to the ferry which you can not take with a travel trailer. Suggest getting directions and screenshot them and write down directions prior to leaving on trip otherwise your navigation system will steer you the wrong way. Make sure you have everything you need since a store is 30 min away. Plan accordingly with the above and you will have a great time!

My wife and I had a lovely stay! We did use the electric hookup but not the water. Flat site with a picnic table and umbrella right there. We rode into town for dinner on our electric bikes without problems. Took about 10-15 minutes. We ubered for a winery visit without issue the next day. We would stay here again.

Such a quiet and serene stay. We were pleasantly surprised that we had the place pretty much to ourselves. We can imagine the weekends being filled with bustling campers and boaters. Janna was flexible in allowing us to move to a site nestled under a set of beautiful trees as we awaited the RV repair for our air conditioning! The breeze was nice and watching the sunlight dancing on the water was just what we needed to start our getaway trip. We were able to back our van right up to the dock at the Delta! It was so peaceful that we stayed another night!

Lovely property- on a quiet road just minutes from Occidental. Fruit trees added to the charm- August was the best as the Gravensteins and blackberries were at their peak! Plenty of space between the sites. The only downside is not having the ability to dump gray/black water; but, water and electrical hookups worked just fine. Joseph is super responsive too, if anything were to come up.

Every year we come to Sebastapol/Occidental to visit our youngest son and family. I believe this was our 3rd or 4th year staying on Joe's property. As always, it is truly a restful and wonderful stay. Joe is always so quick to answer our questions and help in anyway. Yes, I highly recommend Rancho Laslendini for your HipCamp stay.
