There's a lot more to Napa than cabernet sauvignon and Michelin stars, and one of the best places to discover the region’s outdoorsy side is Lake Berryessa, which stretches along the eastern side of California Wine Country. It’s a fantastic RV destination with boat ramps for those who are towing their own boats or Jet Skis and plenty of space for kayaking, water-skiing, paddleboarding, and swimming. Explore the trailheads and day use areas that dot the northern, western, and southern edges of the lake, and go fishing for bass and trout in the lake and adjacent Putah Creek. When you’re ready for that bottle of cab, head half an hour to Napa’s Silverado Trail for wine tasting. RV parks, resorts, and campgrounds are mostly found on the southern end of the lake, with a couple more along the western side. Hookups are not always available, especially during red flag warnings in wildfire season.

Finley Camp is nestled along Finley Creek in West Sonoma County. Campsites are located in open flats surrounded by Coast Doug Fir, Alder, and California Bay forests. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with cooking grate, and access to a porta potty and hand washing station. The campsites are located past the end of the county road allowing for a quiet peaceful experience. Enjoy a quiet stroll on site, the surrounding communities of Bodega, Bodega Bay, Valley Ford, and Tomales, or just enjoy a quiet day in camp. Our sites are located approximately 20 minutes from Bodega Bay. The campsites are 2.5 miles from the coast and the weather can be unpredictable. As a general rule, it is very similar to that of San Francisco. All camp sites are situated in a valley that offers protection from the coastal winds. The have both morning and evening shade. Sites #2, #6, #7, and #11 have the most space, while sites #4, #7, #8, #9 and #11 offer the most privacy. Sites 1-3, any combination of 5-7, and 12-13 are well suited for groups. Other site groupings work well depending on the number of sites being reserved. Site #8 is unique in that it has a wood deck/platform for tents. There are also NO wood fires allowed at site #8 as it is under the tree canopy. A propane firepit is provided for your use. You can bring a 5 gallon propane tank from home, or a full one is available for rent on site. Well behaved dogs are welcome at Finley Camp. All dogs must be kept on leash at all times while on the property. There are no exceptions to this. Finley Camp is located on an active cattle ranch and directly adjacent to a neighboring ranch with cattle. WE HAVE BEEF AGAIN! Beef is free range grass fed and all naturally raised. The apples are ripe now and our verities will continue to ripen thru late November. The Meadow Grove is a wild and natural pasture with campsites located near the historic Narrow Gauge Railroad bed on a family owned working ranch in coastal Northern California. The camp sites are nestled in a pasture and grove of mixed Eucalyptus, willow and cypress trees. The sites are perfect for tents or camper vans, or small trailers. [When we open in the spring, the grass can be 'slippery' and it is recommended you have 4WD. Around mid-June it is dried out enough for 2WD access to all sites]. Not suitable for RVs It is also, managed and operated by a single mother. Please keep this in mind. Notes about the campsites are: They each come with a picnic table. The grounds are a working ranch, so there is variations of the soil- some lumps and bumps and general natural state of a pasture v. a groomed lawn. Site #1, #2, #3, and #4 have the most level areas for parking and tent-ing. Up until mid-June, we recommend #1 for 2WD access. Campervans that do not have 4WD may have trouble accessing other sites. Please remember this when you book! *Campers who "change sites" without written approval by the host will be charged double!* There is a composting camp toilet, we do not have running water at the campground. The ranch itself is 300 acres of rolling hills pasture, with hilltop views of the Estero Americano valley. The Meadow Grove is home to many varieties of raptors and other birds-providing excellent bird watching. Seasonally there are blackberries to fill your containers, and some hiking. We are mere minutes from the quaint towns of Valley Ford, Tomales, and Dillon Beach, and a short drive from Bodega, Bodega Bay or Marshall, Pt. Reyes Station and Inverness. Nearby attractions include: Sonoma Coast beaches, Pt. Reyes National Seashore, coastal hiking trails, local farm-to-table eateries. Inland attractions include: redwoods, wine tasting, Russian River activities and so much more. The ranch borders Hwy 1, so there is some degree of road noise. Traffic usually dies down mid afternoon, and isn't too much of a disturbance. Virtually all traffic on our stretch of road is daytime traffic. There can be however, some heavy weekend traffic during the day with car clubs and motorcycle riders enjoying the coastal highway. *The Friendly Gray Cat's name is Boots!*

Located within 45 minutes of the wine country and 2 miles from the coast, our property is 400 acres of rolling hills and redwood groves, with a creek running along its base. With miles of trails meandering through quiet woods and meadows, you will be able to revel in the tranquility of a private preserve, without sacrificing easy access to some of Sonoma County's most famous attractions. A hundred years ago, this land was used to graze sheep. Remnants of the old fence lines can still be seen in places, along with old cement troughs. Since then, the land has been left to its own devices, passing through many hands, most famously owned by two brothers in the 1980's who built a truly amazing tree house in the forest which has been featured in several magazine articles. It was revamped and updated in 2016 by a master craftsman, using fallen redwood logs found on the property and is now a unique structural work of art, available for overnight stays. We produce 100% grass fed, dry-aged beef on our certified organic pastures and have a store on site if you would like to purchase delicious steaks, ribs, ground beef for hamburgers or some roasts to take home. Our cattle graze on the native grasses, never grain, and drink only water produced from our own springs. We also raise Kiko meat goats and produce pastured, certified organic duck eggs on a commercial basis. Whether it's surfing at sandy beaches, award-winning clam chowder, a wine tour, horseback riding or a hot air balloon ride you're after, you won't have far to drive if you make our ranch your base camp. You may see a family of deer appear suddenly, or a few Scottish Highland cows which we allow to roam freely over the property. There are over twenty species of wild birds that grace this protected spot, so bring your binoculars! A portion of your fee goes towards protecting native flora and fauna as part of our private wildlife preservation program. A limited number of private, widely spaced camp spots are available for visitors. The Eagles' Nest Treehouse (mentioned above) is very isolated and you may or may not even be aware that there are other people within miles of you. Excellent Group Site! We only host one group at a time so you can be with your family and friends in a large, flat and private space. Choose between the campground, the cabin, or both! You can add the cabin to your campground stay under "extras'! The land was originally purchased in the 1980's. Since then, it has been used by four generations of the family as a place to gather, relax, camp and even celebrate. I had my wedding on the property in 2010. For a few years we held an annual music festival with the very inventive name of Samapalooza. Up to 400 people would attend the day filled with live music, food and drinks. You will still find the stage and bar we built as an outdoor kitchen and dining area. Around 2008, my father and I planted our first olive trees. Many have been planted since which has gifted the land the timeless sense of purpose it deserves. My father dedicated his last years to tending the young trees and now I have taken the mantle to carry the farm forward. 'The Property', as it is known amongst family and friends has always been a place to camp. I have sat around the same fire ring for decades, rain or shine. I hope that fellow hipcampers can find the joy that my family and I have experienced here. This is a very private camp on a small olive farm. Geographically close to highways and the town of Novato, Sonoma and Napa wine country, this camp feels remote and secluded. Only one camp on the property to keep it private and special. You basically have your run of the land. We have just updated the land and made some nice improvements. Located on ten acres, you will drive past a small olive grove before reaching the spacious and open campground. Just up the hill from the camp is a private pond where you can fish, take out a small boat or just sit and watch the birds. It can be great swimming on hot summer days. This spot has been used by the family for decades and is now open to share with fellow nature lovers. Just a note: While the majority of the time you can expect complete privacy, this is a working olive farm. From time to time you may run into me (Sam) or someone else associated with the land. We will always do our best to respect your space.

Welcome to our land in the beautiful wilderness of upper Calistoga. Our land is a nature experience, with some development of trails and amenities, at our family land just 10 minutes outside of Calistoga with all the wineries, spas, and restaurants. The hilltop (where Coral Cabin is located) has electricity and wifi, and is a common area for all campers. The main house and deck are not part of the hipcamp; the tenants are a nice family and caretakers of the land, but not the hosts so please do not disturb. Our sites are no frills, cute and rustic, and “user responsible” meaning the price includes basic “leave no trace”cleaning guidelines. Because of this, communication with Dan is super important to ensure expectations are clear for you and us, our land is respected, and you have a great time! Rules for all sites, read before you book! 1. We provide trash bags and ask that you take all trash and recycling to the bottom of the driveway, in the 'hipcamp' trash bin provided (smaller grey bin by mailbox). 2. We have a compost toilet system designed by a graduate of the Occidental Ecology Center permaculture course. It has pros and cons, but when operated correctly, it is a good system: All you gotta do is add mulch (which is any dried leaves or grass), on top of your own biz and it begins to break down waste immediately, including smell. If in doubt, add more mulch; you can find it in a bin by the toilet or gather a handful at time of service. Or: There are also nice coffee shops in town:) 3. The nature of our land being wild, there are no wood fires allowed. We have propane fire pits, and ask guests to use extreme caution with bug candles or smoking anything. We currently have 3 campsites. Please see descriptions for each campsite access and services available. *The Hilltop/Coral Cabin has the best large RV access, Wi-Fi and electricity, and the best views. Each campsite has a gas camping stove and compost toilet. You will see lots of wildlife! Beautiful birds song every morning, little lizards everywhere, turkeys, a toad here and there! You can hike the extent of our 34 acres on fire roads that lead to the top of the Whaleback Ridge, seen in the distance from all camps. That would be an epic sunset hike! It is a small organic farm on the outskirts of the City of Sonoma. It is about 9 miles from downtown Napa. There are mountain and vineyard views, The campsite is up against a vineyard. Our neighbors are cows and goats. We have sheep, chickens, dogs, cats, and horses. We are within walking distance of three wineries and a vodka bar. We have water and 30 amp electricity available. Pets must not be left unattended by their owners at any time. Dogs must be inside your camper at night.

Clear Lake Campground is a small, vintage RV and tent campground, established in the 1950s. Camp right on Cache Creek, the only outlet of Clear Lake. The campground offers fishing, kayaking, and boating right from Camp. A car or boat is required to get to Clear Lake. For lake fishing, Redbud Park, Highlands Park and Austin Park are all within a ten minute drive from Camp. Austin Park also has a playground and swimming beach. The park offers rustic charm with great fishing and bird watching right from your campsite. We have a boat launch for your kayak, canoe or motor boat and we have canoe and kayak rentals. Cool off in the small pool. Challenge your family to a ping pong tournament or corn toss game. Lake County guests enjoy stunning vistas, world-class wines, the largest freshwater lake in California, the cleanest air in the US and endless outdoor activities. Activities include fishing, birding, kayaking, biking, hiking and wine tasting. Our staff have been trained as tourism ambassadors and can help you make the most of your vacation. Travel trailers, campers, tents and RVs are all welcome. Most sites include water, sewer and 30 amp electric. Limited wifi. Campsites are hard packed dirt. We also have 3 partially-furnished canvas bell tents to make your stay even easier! Please note, our small vintage campground is best suited to smaller trailers and motor coaches. We are conveniently located off of US 101, therefore there may be some freeway noise, during commute hours especially. It has become like white noise to me, but it is only fair to mention it. We offer full hookups which consists of 50 amp & 110 volt electrical outlets, potable water, sewage dump. We also have one pigtail available (with a refundable deposit) if needed to convert 50 amp to 30 amp. We also have one place in the middle of our big vineyards with a 30 amp and water only. No sewer. Our sites are located one mile from Healdsburg plaza, the heart of Sonoma County Wine Country. Our town offers amazing wineries, fantastic restaurants, and quaint shops. It is an excellent place for wine lovers. There is a pre-prohibition winery right across the road called Foppiano. There are many other fabulous wineries are nearby. Ask the host for discount passes or complimentary tasting cards for some of the local wineries. We are in an excellent location for outdoor adventurers. There are plenty of hiking trails near by as well as bike rental shops for those who enjoy trekking, and even a couple of rafting places right here on the Russian River. We are close to places like Armstrong Woods, Safari West, Getaway Adventures, The Sonoma County Fairgrounds which hosts the Summer Country Concerts among other events, Harmony Festival, Santa Rosa Full Camp; Half Marathons Camp; 5K, Sonoma Zip-line Adventures, and Much More! For you foodies there are Savor Food Tours, Relish Culinary Adventures in addition to all the incredible restaurants in town. There is so much to do and see in our beautiful part of the world. Such a quiet and serene stay. We were pleasantly surprised that we had the place pretty much to ourselves. We can imagine the weekends being filled with bustling campers and boaters. Janna was flexible in allowing us to move to a site nestled under a set of beautiful trees as we awaited the RV repair for our air conditioning! The breeze was nice and watching the sunlight dancing on the water was just what we needed to start our getaway trip. We were able to back our van right up to the dock at the Delta! It was so peaceful that we stayed another night!

Every year we come to Sebastapol/Occidental to visit our youngest son and family. I believe this was our 3rd or 4th year staying on Joe's property. As always, it is truly a restful and wonderful stay. Joe is always so quick to answer our questions and help in anyway. Yes, I highly recommend Rancho Laslendini for your HipCamp stay. Cute spot, my van fit nicely, directions to the site were clear and I had no trouble finding it. I had no interaction with the owner which is perfect for an introvert like me in an overnight spot. I think the spot is perfect if you are looking for a base for exploring wine country. Water and electric were provided as well as a trash can. I have a 30A RV but I didn’t try to run my AC or anything power hungry so I don’t know whether the circuit is truly 30A as advertised but the extension cord you plug into seemed thin and did have some signs it had been overheated before so I didn’t want to test it. My surge protector/circuit tester said it was good so I used it for lights and fridge. I didn’t bring my hose because I thought their hose would reach my fresh water fill but it was just long enough to get over the fence separating you from the house. I managed to use a workaround to get water into my fresh water fill but do bring a hose, the one provided is just a place to connect yours with the adapter/splitter they have on the end of it. There are several outdoor seating areas I didn’t use on this hot evening but they are nice enough and shaded. We didn’t hear any animals as some others had complained about, including the rooster which was surprisingly quiet or maybe we are just numb to the sound since we have several of our own. Sunset over the neighbor’s vineyard was spectacular as well. Price was fair and I would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina! The park is peaceful, clean, and a great place to relax with the family. We especially want to thank Jana for her outstanding hospitality and kindness. During our stay, we had a couple of small issues with our campsite, and she went above and beyond to help us. She was able to move us to a much better site, which made a huge difference and allowed us to fully enjoy our weekend. Jana truly cares about her guests and made us feel welcome from start to finish. Our family made a last-minute change to our vacation itinerary and needed a place to park our RV somewhere along 101 just north of San Francisco. Lorri had a spot available that turned out to be absolutely perfect for us: adjacent to a lush vineyard, quiet and secluded, with full hookups, and a few-minutes drive from the Healdsburg Plaza, where we headed for dinner that night. Everything about the stay was pleasant and peaceful and Lorri was amazing -- even bringing out the corn hole game for our kids to play! We highly recommend and would definitely return if we get the chance!
