Finley Camp is nestled along Finley Creek in West Sonoma County. Campsites are located in open flats surrounded by Coast Doug Fir, Alder, and California Bay forests. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit with cooking grate, and access to a porta potty and hand washing station. The campsites are located past the end of the county road allowing for a quiet peaceful experience. Enjoy a quiet stroll on site, the surrounding communities of Bodega, Bodega Bay, Valley Ford, and Tomales, or just enjoy a quiet day in camp. Our sites are located approximately 20 minutes from Bodega Bay. The campsites are 2.5 miles from the coast and the weather can be unpredictable. As a general rule, it is very similar to that of San Francisco.
All camp sites are situated in a valley that offers protection from the coastal winds. The have both morning and evening shade. Sites #2, #6, #7, and #11 have the most space, while sites #4, #7, #8, #9 and #11 offer the most privacy. Sites 1-3, any combination of 5-7, and 12-13 are well suited for groups. Other site groupings work well depending on the number of sites being reserved. Site #8 is unique in that it has a wood deck/platform for tents. There are also NO wood fires allowed at site #8 as it is under the tree canopy. A propane firepit is provided for your use. You can bring a 5 gallon propane tank from home, or a full one is available for rent on site.
Well behaved dogs are welcome at Finley Camp. All dogs must be kept on leash at all times while on the property. There are no exceptions to this. Finley Camp is located on an active cattle ranch and directly adjacent to a neighboring ranch with cattle.
Also be sure to check out our orchard tours! The apples are ripe now and our verities will continue to ripen thru late November. We'll take you to our family orchard where you can pick apples, pears, or blueberries in season and taste yummy treats out of our family garden.

The Meadow Grove is a wild and natural pasture with campsites located near the historic Narrow Gauge Railroad bed on a family owned working ranch in coastal Northern California. The camp sites are nestled in a pasture and grove of mixed Eucalyptus, willow and cypress trees. The sites are perfect for tents or camper vans, or small trailers. [When we open in the spring, the grass can be 'slippery' and it is recommended you have 4WD. Around mid-June it is dried out enough for 2WD access to all sites]. Not suitable for RVs
It is also, managed and operated by a single mother. Please keep this in mind.
Notes about the campsites are: They each come with a picnic table. The grounds are a working ranch, so there is variations of the soil- some lumps and bumps and general natural state of a pasture v. a groomed lawn. Site #1, #2, #3, and #4 have the most level areas for parking and tent-ing.
Up until mid-June, we recommend #1 for 2WD access. Campervans that do not have 4WD may have trouble accessing other sites. Please remember this when you book!
*Campers who "change sites" without written approval by the host will be charged double!*
There is a composting camp toilet, we do not have running water at the campground.
The ranch itself is 300 acres of rolling hills pasture, with hilltop views of the Estero Americano valley. The Meadow Grove is home to many varieties of raptors and other birds-providing excellent bird watching. Seasonally there are blackberries to fill your containers, and some hiking. We are mere minutes from the quaint towns of Valley Ford, Tomales, and Dillon Beach, and a short drive from Bodega, Bodega Bay or Marshall, Pt. Reyes Station and Inverness. Nearby attractions include: Sonoma Coast beaches, Pt. Reyes National Seashore, coastal hiking trails, local farm-to-table eateries.
Inland attractions include: redwoods, wine tasting, Russian River activities and so much more.
The ranch borders Hwy 1, so there is some degree of road noise. Traffic usually dies down mid afternoon, and isn't too much of a disturbance. Virtually all traffic on our stretch of road is daytime traffic. There can be however, some heavy weekend traffic during the day with car clubs and motorcycle riders enjoying the coastal highway.

Located within 45 minutes of the wine country and 2 miles from the coast, our property is 400 acres of rolling hills and redwood groves, with a creek running along its base. With miles of trails meandering through quiet woods and meadows, you will be able to revel in the tranquility of a private preserve, without sacrificing easy access to some of Sonoma County's most famous attractions. A hundred years ago, this land was used to graze sheep. Remnants of the old fence lines can still be seen in places, along with old cement troughs. Since then, the land has been left to its own devices, passing through many hands, most famously owned by two brothers in the 1980's who built a truly amazing tree house in the forest which has been featured in several magazine articles. It was revamped and updated in 2016 by a master craftsman, using fallen redwood logs found on the property and is now a unique structural work of art, available for overnight stays. We produce 100% grass fed, dry-aged beef on our certified organic pastures and have a store on site if you would like to purchase delicious steaks, ribs, ground beef for hamburgers or some roasts to take home. Our cattle graze on the native grasses, never grain, and drink only water produced from our own springs. We also raise Kiko meat goats and produce pastured, certified organic duck eggs on a commercial basis. Whether it's surfing at sandy beaches, award-winning clam chowder, a wine tour, horseback riding or a hot air balloon ride you're after, you won't have far to drive if you make our ranch your base camp. You may see a family of deer appear suddenly, or a few Scottish Highland cows which we allow to roam freely over the property. There are over twenty species of wild birds that grace this protected spot, so bring your binoculars! A portion of your fee goes towards protecting native flora and fauna as part of our private wildlife preservation program. A limited number of private, widely spaced camp spots are available for visitors. The Eagles' Nest Treehouse (mentioned above) is very isolated and you may or may not even be aware that there are other people within miles of you. For those who value nature, seclusion, quiet and the artistry of old growth redwood, this is the place for you.

Our private campsite sits above Clear Lake with panoramic views across the water toward Soda Bay. The overlook is so well known that the local Chamber of Commerce has used views from this road in promotional materials for the area. Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee, watching birds soar over the lake, or winding down after a day on the water, the scenery is the reason people fall in love with this spot.
The campsite features a 29.5 × 35-foot compacted Class 2 aggregate RV pad, providing a solid, level place to park your RV or camper.

These amenities are planned for the future, but for now we're offering a simple, peaceful campsite focused on the experience rather than the extras.
The access road includes a fairly steep climb (approximately a 22-degree grade) for the final approach. Most RVs can make it without issue, but your tow vehicle and RV should be capable of handling a sustained uphill pull. The road is paved but can be a little rough in places, so please drive slowly.
The property is quiet, with very little traffic. There are neighboring homes nearby, but the area remains peaceful and the neighbors are respectful.
Just down the hill, you'll find easy access to Clear Lake, including a convenient pullout where many locals stop to fish. Clear Lake is famous for its excellent bass fishing, boating, kayaking, birdwatching, and beautiful sunsets.
This is one of the few Hipcamp sites in the area, making it a great home base for exploring Lake County while enjoying a private campsite with one of the best views around.

The property is located east of Occidental in a unique "banana belt" along the USDA 9a/9b climate zones, inside the "Green Valley" Sonoma wine appellation, on a quintessential country lane.
Originally settled and farmed in the early 1900's by a family of Italian immigrants, from who the lane is named.
One acre is our family compound, two acres are forest preserve, and the other two acres are the orchard - where the Hipcamp sites have been integrated.
The orchard has many different fruit trees including heritage Gravenstein apples that were originally planted by the family from Italy. The apples are ripe from late July to late October. The orchard borders a forest with old growth Redwoods, Douglas Fir, Bay Laurel, Oaks, and Madrone. Some wildlife passes through the orchard, especially birds.
The location offers access to a charming walk on a beautiful country lane and many hikes nearby that we can recommend. We highly encourage visiting for the Spring bloom in April and May for a temperate tropical experience.
A two minute drive to Occidental, and a twenty minute drive to the beaches of the Sonoma Coast and the Russian River. A great location to explore and enjoy nearby small towns, wineries, dairies, hiking, bicyling, surfing, kayaking, and farmers markets... or just relax at the site, make a picnic, and bask in the tranquility...

Welcome to our land in the beautiful wilderness of upper Calistoga. Our land is a nature experience, with some development of trails and amenities, at our family land just 10 minutes outside of Calistoga, with wineries, spas, and restaurants. The hilltop (where Coral Cabin is located) has electricity and wifi, and is a common area for all campers; . The main house and deck is not part of the hipcamp; the tenants are a nice family and caretakers of the land, but not the host.
Our sites are no frills, cute and rustic, and “user responsible” meaning the price includes basic “leave no trace”cleaning guidelines. Because of this, communication with Dan is super important to ensure expectations are clear for you and us, our land is respected, and you have a great time!
Rules for all sites, read before you book!
1. We provide trash bags and ask that you take all trash and recycling to the bottom of the driveway, in the 'hipcamp' trash bin provided (smaller grey bin by mailbox).
2. We have a compost toilet system designed by a graduate of the Occidental Ecology Center permaculture course. It has pros and cons, but when operated correctly, it is a good system: All you gotta do is add mulch (which is any dried leaves or grass), on top of your own biz and it begins to break down waste immediately, including smell. If in doubt, add more mulch; you can find it in a bin by the toilet or gather a handful at time of service. Or: There are also nice coffee shops in town:)
3. The nature of our land being wild, there are no wood fires allowed. We have propane fire pits, and ask guests to use extreme caution with bug candles or smoking anything.
We currently have 3 campsites. Please see descriptions for each campsite access and services available. *The Hilltop/Coral Cabin has the most access, Wi-Fi, cooking appliances, and the best views. Each campsite has a gas camping stove and compost toilet.
You will see lots of wildlife! Beautiful birds song every morning, little lizards everywhere, turkeys, a toad here and there! You can hike the extent of our 34 acres on fire roads that lead to the top of the Whaleback Ridge, seen in the distance from all camps. That would be an epic sunset hike!

Super convenient to get here! We're less than 20 miles from the Sacramento Airport, and just a few minutes off of Interstate 5. Yet you'd never know it once you get to the farm and feel the peace and quiet.

Additional note....Life on the farm is calm, peaceful and easy... operating with the natural rhythm of the
sun cycle. What few clocks we do have, are stuck on twenty minutes past four.

Those of you who have experienced camping before know that these are all normal things when out in nature but for those of you who have no camping experience I ask you to come with an open mind and a positive attitude towards a new experience. If you think you may have problems with any of these things PLEASE DON'T COME!!!

also have a dog named Sara that loves people. Most campers that come are very happy to have her around. She is polite and good with children. Some of you may not like dogs, if that is the case this will not be a fun experience for you.
Please note that as of spring 2021 we no longer have as many animals. Because of the drought feed prices are too high.

We had a wonderful stay at Snug Harbor RV Park & Marina! The park is peaceful, clean, and a great place to relax with the family.
We especially want to thank Jana for her outstanding hospitality and kindness. During our stay, we had a couple of small issues with our campsite, and she went above and beyond to help us. She was able to move us to a much better site, which made a huge difference and allowed us to fully enjoy our weekend.
Jana truly cares about her guests and made us feel welcome from start to finish. Thanks to her help, our family had an amazing and memorable stay.
We highly recommend this RV park and will definitely be happy to come back in the future.

Our family made a last-minute change to our vacation itinerary and needed a place to park our RV somewhere along 101 just north of San Francisco. Lorri had a spot available that turned out to be absolutely perfect for us: adjacent to a lush vineyard, quiet and secluded, with full hookups, and a few-minutes drive from the Healdsburg Plaza, where we headed for dinner that night. Everything about the stay was pleasant and peaceful and Lorri was amazing -- even bringing out the corn hole game for our kids to play! We highly recommend and would definitely return if we get the chance!

We stayed at site #2 in a class B camper an and it was great. Has water available and electrical hookup. The best thing was it was super peaceful. Very little road noise as it’s off a minor road off a minor road. Still very easy to get to. Site #3 is the most private but a sites 2 and 1 look good too. Nestled among or hard trees it was very pleasant.

The stay on the farm was comfortable and easy to maneuver in. We enjoyed hearing the sounds of chirping birds and farm animals nearby. A surprise hot air balloon floated above our encampment one morning which brought us out for a picture session. Will come back next time.

the peaceful, quiet location in the orchard allowed us to truly relax — we slept in, read, listened to the birds…

SO peaceful! More private and affordable than standard campgrounds (having power + water was amazing.) It was such a treat to snack on the orchard fruit and watch the local wildlife from our trailer. There are lots of burrs on the ground, so be mindful of your pet's feet. Unfortunately, there were no string lights in our site, they looked so dreamy in the pix. The location is great, close to tons of fun things to do. We can't wait to come back!

I was so impressed with your little camp. It is beautiful!! I had a wonderful sleep in site 1, picked a couple of oranges, an apple and some black berries along my walk in the morning hours. Two deer were outside my window when I drew the blinds up. And little quail running to and fro.
I have a 25ft bus. For me there is one caution I might disclose for any one with low axel clearance issues. It is an easy fix with a morning coffee a shovel and some gravel. When I began to exit your property I noticed a very large ditch crossing the driveway. Had it been night time I might not have noticed it and it would have been a real spoiler. I did manage to spin the bus around and exited out the way I came in. My bus has backup flashing lights and sound alerts. I apologize to anyone who might have been disturbed by the noise. Thank you so much for a wonderfully peaceful time. I will highly recommend your spot as I travel along.

We were only onsite at Eileen's property a short time, but we very much enjoyed it! It is a small working farm, most notably with goats! They were not disruptive by any means, but my wife and I really enjoyed hearing the goats while sitting outside our van late at night and again in the morning! So cute! More importantly, though, Eileen was great with her instructions and responsiveness. Everything was exactly as she said it would be, making our arrival after dark so much easier. She even included info on a public dump station nearby since her property does not include sewer hookup. While it was a very quick stay for us, I would definitely consider staying with Eileen again!

I loved how quiet it was here. All spaces are quite level and provide sufficient privacy but I would say #3 where my friend stayed is my favorite due to the privacy, shade, and large grassy area. It's so close to town also, just a phenomenal place to stay.

This was our second visit. We had a great time. Really quite great weather. The owners have a couple of very friendly dogs and a cat, however, one of our dogs has to have controlled introductions. The owner was really nice and kept the pets confined without any issues. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Good place to stop to do chores. Washing machine excellent and easy to use and pay for with Apple Pay.
The site was very clean as were the bathrooms.
Unfortunately the swimming pool was shut due to the weather and leaves.
