Canyon Creek Resort

Easy & friendly check-in, a decent sized fairly level pull through spot very close to where I needed to be. There was some noise from cars speeding on the road next to the campground but other than that very quiet. Wi-Fi was not accessible from the end of the campground where I was located and I didn’t have Verizon cell phone service either but other than that everything was nice. Thank you!

Stayed in a tent site and my stay was very great for the price.!There is not much of a wind break so if the winds pick up, you better make sure your stakes are strong. Everyone on-site made me feel welcome and was very accommodated. The pool was clean and quiet so I spent a lot of my stay there. Bingo night was a blast. I wish there were restrooms and shower houses located closer to the tent sites. It is a bit of a trek in the dark. I would stay here again but maybe opt for a nicer site closer to all of the amenities.

I almost didn't book this because of the negative reviews about the tent sites. Glad I did. The tent sites are clearly second-class citizens — the waterfront sites are much nicer — but the campground as a whole is really good. What we liked: the pool, which has separate adult and kids sections; the walk along the river, which is scenic; and the views in general, which are great. There's also no cell service, which we enjoyed — worth knowing if you need to stay reachable. What to know: the bathrooms need an update, and the hot tub wasn't working during our stay — though it was hot enough out that we didn't miss it. The tent sites also sit close to the street. That said, it's a quiet street at night — road noise only picks up later in the morning. We were the only tent campers this weekend, so we had plenty of space and privacy. If it were full, I can see it feeling cramped. Would book again.

Amazing site! Beautiful area and the staff is super helpful and polite. Tons of amenities. Being next to the highway is not great, but for the location there is not much better that you can get.

Camping in a Canyon near Winters

Beautiful location with two pools and a well kept playground. It is primarily for RVs with one yurt and a panoramic view, the tent area is near this site. The tent site area is full sun from 9a-630p in the summer, and the spaces are small and very close together. We were the only tenters there, which was great for space and peace. However, we acknowledged that if it was a full tent site that would have been a bit too intimate for an outdoors experience. The bathrooms, lounge and the grounds were well kept and clean. Definitely check different shower stalls for a better shower.

We made the best of the trip but I would not recommend this campground for tent camping unless you are “members” of their resort. The tent campground is very much an afterthought sitting behind the RV spots across the highway from the creek. The spots are all crammed together with just a line of rocks between each one. Apparently the grass tent camping on the other side of the highway is for members of their resort. We fortunately had cool neighbors and made use of the pool to get out and about which was great with a kid. I really wouldn’t go back for the price unless they made the spots larger or allowed hip camp users down on the grass. Ps no service and low range internet was available for $10 a day.

Beautiful getaway!

What a beautiful spot! We were in our camper van on the river. The birds and sounds from the river were beautiful and though the road is close the sound didn’t bother us. We walked all over the grounds, very lush this time of year! Our dog had a great time too.

We had banked on the hot tub, and it was “closed for repairs” then we started a fire and the security came down to say that we had to use a fire pit and can’t use rocks and have a fire on the ground?!?! I thought this was America I’m sorry. Honestly we were about to leave, but I complained and security brought us a fire pit, only after explaining that we were there to celebrate a loss of life and just wanted to enjoy the fire.. Her name was Bernie and she was very considerate, very kind, but then came by the camp 3-4 times just to check in on us and that was a little annoying. 1/10

Clamping at its best.

The staff were very helpful and polite. I only wish they would mention on their website they no longer provide fire rings. You will have to bring your own if you want to have a fire. The pool was clean and everyone seemed happy to be there. Note to self. We will make sure to place our RV the farthest point possible away from the road. We could hear cars whizzing by at night.

We recently stayed here for a camping trip, and while the setup seems great for RVs, tent camping definitely felt like an afterthought. The tent sites were, what felt like, on a dirt parking lot and they were separated only by a line of rocks, which meant neighbors were right next to us. This left very little privacy and no real safe space for kids to run around. Another big disappointment was the lack of fire pits—neither the tent sites nor the common areas had one available. Not being able to make s’mores around a campfire took away a lot of the traditional camping experience we were hoping for. On top of that, our tent site was only about 10 yards from a highway, making it incredibly loud throughout the day and night. We had planned to stay two nights, but between the dirt, the closeness of the neighboring sites, and the constant traffic noise, we decided to leave after just one night. On the positive side, the pool was a nice bonus and gave the kids a fun place to play. However, the playground felt a bit run down, and the common lodge was dated and in need of some upgrades. Overall, I think this could be a good spot for RV campers, but if you’re planning on tent camping with kids, it may not be the most comfortable or family-friendly option.

This was a pricey spot for tent camping and the first ever campground I’ve visited that did not have a fire pit provided, I see after the fact that no wood fires were noted in the details. I had a malfunctioning propane stove and I made a small fire to heat up my dinner by placing rocks around in a small circle to contain it, I had put it out as it was too windy to keep going and I was made, by staff, to douse it more with water. If the fire was lit it would have been made to put out. The next morning I was quite hungry and had to pack up to leave so I could go out to eat.

When I arrived it was taken because it’s a holiday weekend but to my surprise I got a members pass and oh boy was awesome, not only I got 2 swim pools but live bands and amazing people around the staffs were great and hospitality, I’m going back again! Everything is amazing the area, the views and friendly people 🥰

The area was lovely, however they advertised it as "kid friendly" which we didn't really find to tbe the case. The pool was great, but it was too hot to really hang out at the playground. At bingo we were promised either a movie night or game night for the kids on their deck if the AC in the building wasn't working. Neither happened, and no one was notified. The Wifi they advertise and we paid for did not work at all, even for text messages. Ironically the Starlink wifi seemed to work a bit better, and was free! The store sold burnt pizza and our chicken tenders that took about an hour. We drove up near Lake Berryessa to get some other food. The other guests were wonderful and very kind, so kudos to them! 50/50 on whether or not we will return.

Peaceful stay

We camped at Canyon Creek for a relaxing little getaway. The setting was peaceful, and the small on-site store was a nice surprise we even found these fun, colorful drinks that added fun vibes. We were a bit disappointed that the hot tub was out of service, since that was one of the main reasons we booked. The pool was a nice backup, though it could use a debris catcher to keep it cleaner. The Wi-Fi worked for basic browsing, but not for streaming. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would go back just better prepared next time.

Creekside Yurt – Glamping with A/C

As soon as I entered, we were not welcomed, it feels like they want a specific type of people. Not a pleasant environment. Seems they are x military with exact army rule. Too much control, I have w toof top tent and it pops up on top of my minivan they said no rooftop tent which I have it for many years on my minivan.

Camping with pool and creek

The campsite is good. I’m grateful we had access to the pool, the creek is right next to the campsite, which is amazing if you like to sleep with water sounds. There is just one table, and one water access (hose) for all the campsites. I think that the price is okay just because it has the pool, otherwise is a bit expensive. They mention they will improve the campsites in the next month. I’ll be happy to go back.
