We confirmed our reservation a week in advance, but the staff seemed surprised and unprepared when we arrived. He didn’t seem to know which tent to assign us, and the one we ended up in wasn’t set up yet. The bed wasn’t made, but we brought our own bedding thankfully. It was extremely cold at night, and the small propane heater provided wasn’t enough to warm the tent comfortably. We paid for 3 nights of power from the generator but only received less than one night’s worth. The generator wasn’t turned on the first night. They turned it on the second night around 6pm but it auto shut off around 3AM, leaving us freezing and needing to turn on the small space heater in the middle of the night. On the last night the generator was on, but wasn’t working to power our tent at all that night. The grill didn’t have a propane tank, so we had to borrow the propane tank from our tent space heater, dragging it back and forth all weekend.
On day 2, two different people came by to confirm our reservation, adding to the confusion. We were promised hot showers, but the ones near our campsite didn’t have any running water the entire stay. That night the hosts mentioned a rec tent with showers and a sauna, but they never shared the hours, and it was closed each time we tried to go. To make things worse, a nearby group had a dog that barked nonstop for two days.
The hosts didn’t respond to any messages during stay
Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially considering the cost.
