This is a great place to get away and come camp here in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a perfect location for tent camping or come park your trailer or Motorhome/Bus. We have great hiking in the near area and 5 miles away there is great mountain biking trails. A world renoun mountain bike spot with intermediate to experienced trails for riders of all levels. 5 miles down the road as well is buzzard lagoon and is a great Dirt biking/4-wheeling location. It is a fun spot for all off road inthusiast!
Your camping site is on a flat plateu and is an ideal spot to park your trailer, motorhome or tent camp. With Complete privacy with views of the pacific ocean and South county's Monterey bay with a 180 degree view as well as San jose and Morgan Hill.
For the wine inthusiast, Loma Prieta winery is 5.5 miles away along with Windy Oaks Winery that is 3.7 miles away that is located on the "Wine trail" that has alots of winerys to offer in a beautiful location.
A Day of fun for the family at Gilroy Gardens that is 15.5 miles away.
The beach is 30-40 minutes away with great surfing and body boarding up and down the coastline.

Beautiful, quiet, and everything we wanted. Just a quick getaway for Valentine's Day and it was fantastic. Fire pit was so nice! The road in is not for amateurs, and rain made it exciting, but once we got to the gate, it was everything and more. Very cozy. Thank you.

Peaceful setting and beautiful views. There is a $10 dump station at a Shell gas station about 11 minutes away where you can empty and clean out your RV grey/black tanks after your stay. I would definitely recommend.

Great location, close to many wineries and downtown Sonoma. The RV spot is directly behind the host’s house, but we parked to face the beautiful vineyards and it felt perfectly private. Beautiful sunsets, woke to see the sky dotted with hot air balloons. Pretty magical.

We had a great time at the Skid Camp site. Very private within the trees with beautiful view of the stars. The road is a bit tricky getting in, but perfectly manageable with a higher car. We saw a couple wild pigs on our way in and out as well!

We had an awesome time at camp rewilding !
We had booked skid camp but unfortunately high clearance 4x4 was needed. My suv was too low for my comfort to keep going ! Haha but we messaged Jessica and she accommodated us with out any questions. Cams place was a nice spot with plenty of space for our family, our pup was able to run around and had the time of his life. We would definitely recommend. Jessica is a great host, we can’t wait to go back !

Directions were excellent and contact/communication were great. The spot is clearly marked and conveniently had water, power and a trash bin for use.
I had an issue with the power/extension cord initially. Let the host know and I believe it was fixed later at night. It wasn’t a huge issue as my solar battery had enough power for making coffee and using microwave in the morning. My heater worked off regular battery.
The location is convenient to get to downtown, which I did. It was all lit up for the Plaza lighting that evening. So fun!

We wanted to take our new van on its first overnight and Delta Shores is nearby! It was easy to find, we were welcomed and given the lay of the land. It’s a great spot with clean bathrooms. We were definitely rough out as our van hasn’t been converted to a camper yet but we had a blast! Took a great walk along the delta both in the evening and the next morning. Will return! Dog loved it!

Beautiful view at sunrise. Whether you come up from the Los Gatos or the Morgan Hill/Gilroy side, it will go off road but you just have to take it slow and the average car would do just fine. Great spot tho, perfect space for tent camping.

Skid camp was a perfect spot for off the beaten path, for a quiet night.
It’s located very close to Madonna County Park that offers amazing hiking as well as other activities. There is a small fire ring and bench made out of logs. We were able to gather fire wood easily. No bells and whistles, just a freshly skidded road with a campable landing. Recommend 4x4 for much easier access—the drive out off the mountain in the morning was truly beautiful.

My partner and I loved camping at skid camp! Beautiful forest, super secluded — we did not see a single person, from the time we pulled off the county road a couple miles away from the site to the time we pulled back on. A little hard to find, but Jessica was very responsive and helpful. My car loved the off-roading required to get to the campsite. We saw wild pigs when we left!
