Enjoy access to our open pastures for picnics and educational self guided and in-person guided tours. At check-in, we will provide you with arrival instructions, guiding you towards a few special places around the ranch and nearby areas to learn about our watershed, our farming practices and regenerative agriculture. We also offer a variety of grass-finished beef, lamb, pork, eggs, and vegetables grown and raised right here on the ranch at our farm shop.

Primitive sites are back-to-basics: no hookups, no structures, no potable water. There is non-potable water available for washing—please bring your own drinking water. A shared composting toilet is available to all campers. Winds can be strong in spring and summer, but sites are placed on the leeward side for protection. Fires are permitted when conditions allow—check with us on arrival.
We’re just 10 minutes from Tomales, 15 from Valley Ford, and 3.5 miles from Dillon Beach. Bring a kayak or canoe and paddle from camp to the Pacific via the Estero.
Primitive and RV Sites with sweeping views of West Marin pastureland at True Grass Farms, a working ranch along the Estero San Antonio. Our campsites are well spaced for privacy and quiet, surrounded by birdsong, grazing animals, and the rhythms of ranch life.
Each primitive site overlooks the Estero and is near a mowed grass road for easy access. It’s peaceful here at night—other campers may be nearby, but you’ll feel immersed in nature.

The Heron’s Nest is a cozy trailer tucked under a large willow, just 10 feet from the water. It includes a queen bed, kitchenette, indoor composting toilet, outdoor shower, firepit, and direct Estero access—perfect for two guests.
The Badger’s Den is a private full trailer with a queen bed, kitchen, dining area, indoor shower, and composting toilet—plus a private wood fired sauna, firepit, and peaceful surroundings.

Slide Ranch is a nonprofit organization established in 1970, becoming one of the first Park Partners in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
Slide Ranch is located on the Marin coast, on land that has a rich history in connecting people to food. The Coast Miwok once fished and foraged for food at this site, and in the late 19th century Portuguese dairy farmers purchased the land and produced milk and butter for residents of San Francisco. In 1969, 134 acres of this fertile coastline were rescued from commercial development. Slide Ranch camping fees directly fund scholarships for youth programs throughout the year.
Slide Ranch is an unpaved ranch environment. Our trails and garden paths all consist of uneven, sloping terrain, often muddy or soft ground during the winter season, and may be challenging to access for visitors with significant mobility restrictions.
Minors aged 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
No pets allowed; service animals are permitted.
We do not have showering facilities or flush toilets. Water in all Slide Ranch taps is potable for refilling water bottles/jugs. Soap is provided for hand washing.
Slide Ranch does not have any concessions on site. Camping is not supported by the on-site staff. Per current GGNRA regulations, campfires and open flames of any kind are not allowed.

This is great option for those who like to bring all their own gear to camp, and don’t need or want all the extras. Our new Primitive Adventures campsites are located on an established 5-star property. It’s a peaceful, secluded and private country estate. The 20 acre property starts out flat and then gentle to moderate sloped hillside with coastal live oak trees, eucalyptus trees, pine trees, meadows and many interesting landscape features nestled between the vast farmlands of North Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties.
We are 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The weather is usually mild here and we have cool evenings. We do get days that are in the 90s sometimes in the summer and early fall, but we also have lots of shade with all the trees. There is wildlife like deer, turkeys and owls and so much more. We have horses and a donkey, separate from the campsites, so no flies or smell from them. We provide one hot water shower and there are 3 outhouse style toilets on the grounds.
There is NO running water at the sites so we suggest you bring your own drinking water. There will be limited water provided for hand/dish washing.
We are a pack it in/pack it out campground so please, be mindful of waste as we ask that you take it out with you. We do not have dumpsters/trash service on site so please be mindful of this when packing and booking.
You may forage for plentiful eucalyptus and oak firewood for free, or pre-cut pine is available for purchase. Most of our weekends are fully booked at our Rustic Campsites already, so here is another chance to have yourself a weekend camping trip at our new Primitive Adventures campsites. We hope to see you soon! :)

The site looks down into a private and secluded redwood and oak forest with trails for small hikes into the redwood fairy circles or all the way down to the creek.
The glamping site is on a sunny flat area surrounded by steep terrain up to a ridgeline and down to the creek. The creek is accessible although the final route requires a rope down so may not be suitable for everyone.
Within 15-20 min drive you will find almost all major attractions in the Santa Cruz area including The Mistery Spot, Nisene Marks State Forest, Capitola Pier, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, and many famous surf breaks from Capitola to The Point, The Hook, Steamer Lane and many more., as well as many amazing mountain bike trails.
There are also several Santa Cruz Mountain wineries to explore in a 3- 5 mile radius. Further afield you will find Monterey Bay Aquarium and the coastal beaches north up to San Francisco Bay ( 1 hour 30 mins north) and down to Big Sur about 1 hour 20 mins south.
We ask all our visitors to be respectful of the environment, our wildlife, and our neighbors. Please drive slowly and respect the quiet times: between 9.30 pm and 8.30 am. We had a lovely time staying at the farm. Each site has its own picnic tables and there is shared kitchen sink, kitchen prep space, dining area, and restroom (bathroom and shower). The site is very communal so you will get to know your neighbors, but that is certainly part of its charm. The farm animas are adorable to watch. Only FYI is that if you are brining a dog there are foxtails and ticks. Would come back again.

Absolutely delightful stay at Blackberry Farm! We loved our camp spot by the ducks and chickens, enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub at the end of the night, and were grateful to enjoy the peace and beauty all around us on Walter and Sirima's land. Just a short walk into Bolinas (a lovely little town) and gorgeous drives up to Mt. Tam for hiking or into San Francisco. A perfect getaway!!

It’s been about two weeks since I stayed at the hives on Yaella’s land and I am already plotting my return!
I brought my 83 year old mother and 17 year old daughter, and they were both thrilled to be there too. The hives are new and clean, and the beds are extremely comfortable, but my favorite part is the big windows that open and overlook the bay!

This was such a lovely spot to camp. We found the location very easily and Walter was a great host. He came out and greeted us with a warm smile, helped us get the lay of the land, and we got right to camping with the kids in this charming little farm meadow getaway. All of the hikes and beaches nearby are amazingly beautiful and easy to get to as well, and the little town is very sweet.

It’s simple but the location is great, directions, water and restrooms all good for the price.
At night we stargazed and in the morning we enjoyed the sun, while SJ was covered in clouds. Will come back!

Weekend Trip to Point San Pablo Harbor
The Hive experience at Point San Pablo Harbor was truly exceptional! I enjoyed the sweet, respectful goats that roam around during the day, as well as the beautiful nature that makes up the farm. My favorite activity in the area was swimming using the access just next to the docks that house the shower (which was amazing!). I also walked a long way along the San Pablo Bay Trail to Good Hot just for fun, which, despite the distance, was very enjoyable, especially at sunset. The hives themselves were such an incredible, minimalist space, and I appreciated the view from the window that opened, letting in the sea breeze, the ambient lighting, and the deck space they sat on. The Sailing Goat unfortunately ran out of gas when I was there (so prepare for that remote possibility) and opened after checkout. The others on the property and the harbor staff/residents were very kind and enhanced my experience. I can't wait to return, whether for another adventure on the bay or one of the harbor's fun events!

My 1st Hipcamp experience and it was absolutely perfect!!! I was on the last day of a bike camping trip and just wanted an easy place to pitch a tent and rest before crossing back over Mt Tam and i couldn't have asked for a more idyllic location than on a blackberry farm, under some trees, in a sleepy coastal farming town. too bad it was cloudy that day.
The campsites were perfect, clean and exactly as described in the ad. Sirima and Walter were great hosts. friendly and helpful. There's grocery store just down the street from the farm.
I would love to come back with my family and stay longer.

We had a great one night stay at Blackberry Farm. The campground exceeded our expectations. The amenities were great, the grill and kitchen area were perfect for our BBQ dinner.
The tent-site was restful and tidy. And the farm animals were no problem. The campground was only 5 minutes from great surf and the hot showers and hot tub were the perfect end to our stay after and early morning session.
Finally, our host, Walter, was both accommodating and laid back. We will return to Blackberry Farm.

1 night at Dreamy California Coast Airstreams
Camping in Mark’s Airstream was a great experience. The Airstream is nestled on a secluded section of land that is along the California coast with breathtaking views. The amenities provided were great and we would stay here again.

It was a wonderful location! My child was particularly fond of the chickens and the other farm animals, which provided excellent entertainment. The site is conveniently located within walking distance of the downtown area. The amenities available for camping were fantastic, and we especially enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. I would definitely suggest this for anyone looking for a simple camping experience.
