The site itself is great and very unique. Complete seclusion and quiet ambiance throughout our stay made it worthwhile. Our setbacks were focused on the site maintenance. The host mentioned it had been mowed recently, but the site was only mowed around the fire ring and RV, everything else was tall grass. We already planned not to use the RV, and we glad we didn't because there were wasp nests near the front door. We did plan to use the BBQ but ended up not due to its condition. It hadn't been used in a long time, wasn't clean and was covered in cut grass and weeds so we found other ways to cook.
The ferry was a cool experience, and the site was quiet enough for us to consider returning. Otherwise, site just needs a little TLC

To be fair the host did tell us he would refund us the money for the trip if we wanted to cancel since the trailer listed was not going to be there for us to use and stay. That meant no potable water or bathrooms. We have all the camping gear already and it was a couple of days before our check in. Too little time to contact all my family who was going and change plans. We opted to go ahead with trip. Directions were great and host was responsive when we got lost and needed more info. The reason we were lost was the photos uploaded look nothing like how the place looks now. There were several trailers on the property but apparently none we were able to use. Also all of the outdoor furniture was super old and dirty with broken pieces or missing pieces to use. We did find a table to use and some plastic chairs but the rest looked like it had sat there without anyone cleaning it or attending to it in a long, long time. The dock had broken bbq grill so we could not use. The lounge chairs were broken and so dirty, moldy and full of spiders. The property itself was neglected. Not to mention the neighbor right by the dock blasted loud music until very late both days were were there. Overall not a bad trip but nothing like what was advertised and the property was very neglected which was a shame. We could all see the potential of this property with regular care and maintenance. Some TLC and a usable trailer would make all the difference.

We loved staying on Jamie's land! It was a wonderful get away that started with a cool ferry ride. He truly thought of everything with access to an out side grill, wood for buring, pots pans/ bowls and plates even extra toothpaste and tooth brushes which was needed b/c we forgot ours. So thanks Jamie! The lights at night were both practical and beautiful. It made the night feel like a "fairy land" as my daughter put it. It made it easy to locate the RV in the dark and trees / tables without needing a light. It was awesome! Thank you! We can't wait to plan another trip here!

Great private campsite, Jamie is awesome and responds very quick and is very accommodating to special requests. Took a boy scout troop there and had a great time canoeing, fishing, and even swimming. The RV is a nice extra, and is clean. Falling asleep to the sound of crickets and frogs was an added bonus. Well worth the effort to get there. This campsite was perfect for our troop adventure!
