The 59 acre property (50 acres of land, ~9 acres of river/water) features scenic views, privacy and is host to many outdoor activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, mountain biking and more.
The Point...
The main shared area "The Point", is the peninsula that the main roadway ends at (where the BBQ, kayaks and canoes are), this is a shared area for us and our guests to enjoy. The Point offers a large picnic table, a propane BBQ, comfortable seating, a large rock perfect for sunbathing, and a river view. It's an ideal spot for swimming and launching canoes, kayaks, or paddle-board river excursions, thanks to its shallow entry and rocky bottom. Adventurous visitors might choose to paddle upriver, around an island, and return through the remaining historic canal. For a more strenuous workout, consider paddling up the canal to the Grenville lighthouse and then drifting all the way back to camp with the river's current. Enjoy this historic, lazy river experience!

5G/LTE cellphone service is good for Bell, Rogers and Telus networks. We have 3 outhouses on the premises and an outdoor hot shower.
FREE Firewood can be gathered on the forest floor or pay for on-site pre-cut wood. Outhouses are close to campsites....but not too close 💩
Port Rowan is only 12 minutes away by car, most amenities can be purchased only 1 minute away at the local Busy Bee gas station.
We are situated in the middle of a Recreation Hotspot! Our site is within 3 minutes of paddling the Big Creek, 3 to 10 minutes to several A+ hiking trails, 15 minutes to amazing freshwater beaches of Long Point and Turkey Point, and the area is abound with cycling trails, motorcycle routes, geocaching, boat launches (we have room here for your boat!), cider/wine tours, and more! We are the perfect basecamp for everything the Long Point Bay area has to offer
We have some great watering holes nearby like burning kiln winery, hounds of Erie and Charlotteville brewing company.

Now we welcome visitors who are looking for a casual, rustic, laid back experience with nature in a simple, peaceful setting.
Nature is allowed to thrive on our property, and the entire property is forested and wild. The majority of our campsites are shaded under a verdant and lush canopy. Our private beach and small lake welcome you for a swim.
All we ask of our visitors is: that whatever you bring in you take home with you, that you leave your campsite and the property the way you found it, and the only thing you take from here are pictures and happy memories.
All of our campsites are off-grid, un-serviced, drive-in camping. Campfire wood and recycling facilities are available on site. Maintained outhouses are available throughout the property. There is no potable water on the property so please bring your own drinking and cooking water.
Children under 12 can camp for free. When booking a campsite please only include any guests over 12 years of age in your guest count. Children under 12 do not need to be included in your booking.
Contact us to inquire about large group and event rates. We host LARPing weekends twice a month. We also have a limited number of seasonal sites available from June to September.
I love this property and all the people who visit us, many have become extended family and for this I am grateful. There is nothing nicer than to have people drop by and spend a couple of hours, a day or a weekend, sometime when I get real lucky it's for a longer period of time :-)

This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community.
It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night.
The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead.
There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company.
Here is what the land offers:
-Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023
-Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table
-Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River.
-RV Spot: With electric hook up ideal for RVs 30 feet and under

Come and camp on beautiful Eagle Lake with approximately 120' frontage facing North. The campsites are only steps away from the water’s edge where you can enjoy stunning sunsets. Swimming, fishing and a playground are just across the road. The sites have a raised fire pit to cook your meals and a picnic table for enjoying them. We can provide firewood for $12 a bag, just ask!
These medium sites can accommodate two tents or a small camper with a total of four people. There is a shared outhouse, with flush toilets at the park across the road. Each site has water and electricity, and you can also find a WIFI signal nearby.
Eagle Lake Narrows Country Store is on the same three acre property. There you can rent boat, canoe, kayak, SUP and bicycles. Right across the road is a public beach, perfect for a relaxing day with family or friends. The public beach also is equipped with handy amenities like bathrooms, change rooms, fishing docks, and extra parking.
Eagle Lake is approximately 3 hours from Toronto, just over 4 hours from Ottawa, and less than an hour to Huntsville. It is very close to Algonquin Park.

The cabin includes a double Murphy bed, we supply all bedding. A Cot is available for a third person. The cabin is air-conditioned, has a small sitting area, fridge, Keurig coffee machine, and heater for the cooler nights in the fall. Firewood available. Washroom facilities include a hot shower ( bring your towels) and composting toilet within steps of the cabin. There is a propane BBQ and a Gazebo.
There is a beach and a public park a couple minute walk from the cabin. There is a 100 km bike trail within a 5-minute bike ride from the cabin. Weekend Trip to Cabin close to Lake Erie and trails
What a lovely bunkie! I agree with all the positive reviews. Giselle was a fantastic host, super communicative, warm, and chill! The cabin is a testament to how much they care—everything that we could have needed was there! Anything that we forgot to pack, Gisele provided! It was super cozy, and although the site was on their property, it still felt very private. This place has electricity, running water, hot water, and the best compost toilet set up I have ever seen.
The beach was BREATHTAKING. We went for a sunset walk and saw a bald eagle. A new core memory for us!!! There also was some runner ducks that visited us at the cabin, very cute!

Weekend Trip to Cabin close to Lake Erie and trails
This was our second time at Gisele and Vic’s cabin, and it was another great experience. We love the nearby sandy beach on Lake Erie — a very short walk from the cabin, and what a stunning view — as well as the local bike trails and the canal in Port Colborne, where we watched the ships. There is also plenty to do at the cabin, with lots of green space for activities like badminton and frisbee, and of course campfires at night. The cabin was well-stocked with everything we needed — coffee, tea, dishes, water, glasses, electrical outlets, and a BBQ/kitchen outside. Temperature in the cabin was always pleasant, and it was very quiet at night. Lots of seating options too — on the deck outside or by the campfire. For the combo of natural beauty, activities, and privacy/quiet at the cabin, this place can’t be beat. Gisele and Vic were also very thoughtful and accommodating of our needs. We were the first guests to try out this new site, and we really enjoyed our stay! The site is spacious, with a lovely view of the forest and a very convenient location close to the bathrooms without feeling too close. The composting toilets were always kept very clean, with no unpleasant smell, and plenty of hand sanitizer was provided.
It’s also just a short walk to the shore. Even though this particular site isn’t directly on the water, we really appreciated having easy access to the common waterfront area, whether to get out on the water or simply relax in one of the Adirondack chairs or hammocks available for everyone to enjoy.
Brian is an exceptional host—genuinely kind, attentive, and always making sure we had what we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
A beautiful, peaceful place to camp, and we’d happily come back!

Josh and his lovely family are the hostest. It was one of the most incredible experiences we've ever had. From riding a truck and exploring the farm and the trail til hanging out in their cabin at night all were amazing
You can enjoy the watching the start and milkway at night if the weather allows.

He ensures you get familiar with the surroundings and proposes multiple activities around , including extensive historical facts. So, you’re in good hands, either in person or a phone call away. A good base for kayakers wishing to explore the Ottawa river up to Montebello, including la Rivière Rouge entrance.

It is a beautiful private quiet campgound near the river. As a woman solo camper I felt safe. I didnt see any animals, but dealt with a ton of mosquitos. Its part of camping in the woods by a river. The owner Marcin is very friendly. When I got there, he showed me around. And I was able to pick whatever campsite I wanted. Everyone went home for the weekend. And I was there during the week, so it was very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely go back maybe next year. Its a tiny beach, not too far from my campsite. The campsites don't have power. The shower isn't very far from campsite 1. It took me a few minutes to walk there.

What an amazing experience !! Angela and Luke are such great hosts with a beautiful property ! Was such a great escape from the city life. Conviently close to Walmart Canadian Tire Dollarama and more. Thank you again for helping with the tent and bringing down the wood. Very friendly helpful and just a 10/10 expeirence. It was my nephews first time camping and he absolutely loved it . We fished, saw some cute little blue crayfish, went on a relaxing walk surrounded by nature and the river, went in the water just enjoyed nature. No light pollution, no noise pollution just the sounds of nature. Overall had the perfect time although it did rain a bit while we were there but didnt matter we just got some ponchos from Canadian Tire 5 minutes down the street. Definitely will be back. Thank you again so much for sharing your property with us.

Besides festival camping, this was my first real camping trip and it was solo! And boy did i luck out. This place is amazing. Beautiful cute wooded area, with campsites well spread out. It was the perfect place for me reset with nature. Great location... close to long point and turkey point. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you.

Beautiful, well kept, secluded and quiet - off the beaten path! It doesnt need anything more than what it has. Hospitality was exceptional. Clean facilities. Clear instructions. 10/10 recommend, will be returning!! You can tell Erik and Angela take pride in their little oasis. You dont get campgrounds like this much anymore.

Weekend Trip to Cabin close to Lake Erie and trails
The cabin was very cute and a comfortable stay for a few days. The hosts left us many recommendations for things to do and places to eat during our stay. We had a few visitors, some really cute runner ducks and the groundhog that lives there. Would recommend if you want to be close to the beach and trails, and would like a quiet, peaceful stay.

Nature's acres was like camping on a golf course, so much space, very clean and absolutely beautiful. We came for peace and quiet and definitely got it. The pond was our favorite spot. We had no wifi, but all that did was bring us closer to nature and felt like a total reset. We struggled to get our dogs in the car, they had the best time of their lives. Each site offers so much space, that next time we'd like to bring the whole clan. There will definitely be many more next times at Nature's acres, already planning next visit. Thankyou Carl

Beautiful and peaceful campsite with plenty of spots to choose from! Eileen was incredibly kind, responsible, and communicative throughout my stay. She was very helpful and suggested a great spot for me to stay.
I especially loved being close to the pond—it created such a calm and serene atmosphere. It was also wonderful for my dog, who absolutely loved exploring and walking through the forest. I felt very safe and comfortable throughout my stay, even as a solo female traveler.
One night, the campers at a nearby site were quite loud until around 2 a.m. This was not the host’s fault at all, as I had chosen a spot close to other campers, and thankfully, earplugs did the trick!
Overall, I had a wonderful and relaxing stay and would absolutely come back. I highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature!
