This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community.
It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night.
The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead.
There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company.
Here is what the land offers:
-Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023
-Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table

We are the perfect basecamp for everything the Long Point Bay area has to offer

It's approximately 1 - 1.2 acres, on the lakefront. It's small, but cozy. If you're a cyclist, you can bike to Picton (maybe an hour long bike ride). Lake-On-The-Mountain is a nice bikeride, too. Several cross-roads from County Rd. 8 - County Rd. 7 to enjoy. There are wineries and a cheese factory nearby. Swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding can be done here (you will need to bring your own paddleboard). There is a small trailer that can be used as a change-room. A portapotty will be available on the property. There is a picnic table and firepit. The beach is a rocky/stone beach so it is helpful to have water shoes to enter and exit the water.
The property is not fenced in (although trees and shrubbery provide for privacy in the summer) and the neighbours are fairly close, so if you have a dog, please ensure the dog does not go exploring off the property (I just keep my dog away from the road and walk him on-leash when walking on the roadside) Please ensure dog poop is picked up and put in the garbarge bin.
There are pickleball and tennis courts up the road at the North Marysburgh Community Centre (about 3.5 km to the west). If you drive/bike about 3 km east, you will find Prinyer's Cove marina. There is also a public boat launch/park near Prinyer's Cove.

By a combination of good timing and good luck, I was able to make that dream come true and in the spring of 2014 I acquired this land with the hopes of building my dream water ski lake on it. 7 years later, we have a thriving water ski club and are constantly making improvements to the site. This is required for snow removal to access the sites that are at at least 1 km into the bush.
We are in a snow belt area and it is very difficult to keep the sites open in the winter.

All of our campsites are off-grid, un-serviced, drive-in camping. Campfire wood and recycling facilities are available on site. Maintained outhouses are available throughout the property. There is no potable water on the property so please bring your own drinking and cooking water.
Children under 12 can camp for free. When booking a campsite please only include any guests over 12 years of age in your guest count. Children under 12 do not need to be included in your booking.
Contact us to inquire about large group and event rates. We host LARPing weekends twice a month. We also have a limited number of seasonal sites available from June to September.
I love this property and all the people who visit us, many have become extended family and for this I am grateful. There is nothing nicer than to have people drop by and spend a couple of hours, a day or a weekend, sometime when I get real lucky it's for a longer period of time :-)

This property provides great access to a secluded level campsite surrounded by mature hardwoods and white pine, overlooking Fagan Lake. There is an outhouse and firepit on-site, with firewood included (please don't bring your own firewood). Supplied Adirondack and other lawn chairs will really make your campfires special! Pets on leash are welcome. Tents, camper trailers and RVs up to 20 feet are welcome. This is a level pull-in site.
There is a covered post-and-beam picnic shelter on site for rainy days. A supplied BBQ, a large kitchen prep table, and a small round dining table complete the "glamping" feel. There's always a full 18 litre jug of drinking water on site, although we recommend that you also bring your own water.
Access to a secluded lake which is about 2.5 km x 0.5 km in size, and connected to Bennett Lake by the Fall River. The lake is rugged and remote - only 8 cottages on the whole lake. Swimming off the dock, or paddle over to the jumping rocks across the lake. Bring your canoe or kayak and explore the lake and wetlands. Or bring your mountain bikes and enjoy the backroads. This property is in the heart of Lanark County, with all amenities within a 20-minute drive. Lots of hiking trails nearby, and a nice sand beach at Silver Lake Provincial park 10 minutes away. We're not far from Murphy's Point and Sharbot Lake PP as well.
If you like dark skies and quiet woods and going to bed listening to frogs and barred owls, or waking up with the woodland birds, this is the place. No artificial lights here, and you can see the Milky Way clearly on a dark night.

This beautiful rustic cabin sits on a treed lot with privacy.
The cabin includes a double Murphy bed, we supply all bedding. A Cot is available for a third person. The cabin is air-conditioned, has a small sitting area, fridge, Keurig coffee machine, and heater for the cooler nights in the fall. Firewood available. Washroom facilities include a hot shower ( bring your towels) and composting toilet within steps of the cabin. There is a propane BBQ and a Gazebo.
There is a beach and a public park a couple minute walk from the cabin. There is a 100 km bike trail within a 5-minute bike ride from the cabin. We offer the use of bikes, and kayaks when available and weather permitted. Grocery stores, restaurants, and small shops, are all centrally located within ten minutes from cabin. While you are in town you can watch Lakers and Ocean Boats go through the canal
Within 15 minute is Ridgeway and Crystal Beach which offers concerts, beaches and activities.
We are centrally located, approximately 25 minutes from Niagara Falls attractions like casino, museums, zip lining, jet boat tours, hiking in the gorge and other major attractions.

It's approximately 1 - 1.2 acres, on the lakefront. It's small, but cozy. If you're a cyclist, you can bike to Picton (maybe an hour long bike ride). Lake-On-The-Mountain is a nice bikeride, too. Several cross-roads from County Rd. 8 - County Rd. 7 to enjoy. There are wineries and a cheese factory nearby. Swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding can be done here (you will need to bring your own paddleboard). There is a small trailer that can be used as a change-room. A portapotty will be available on the property. There is a picnic table and firepit. The beach is a rocky/stone beach so it is helpful to have water shoes to enter and exit the water.
The property is not fenced in (although trees and shrubbery provide for privacy in the summer) and the neighbours are fairly close, so if you have a dog, please ensure the dog does not go exploring off the property (I just keep my dog away from the road and walk him on-leash when walking on the roadside) Please ensure dog poop is picked up and put in the garbarge bin.
There are pickleball and tennis courts up the road at the North Marysburgh Community Centre (about 3.5 km to the west). If you drive/bike about 3 km east, you will find Prinyer's Cove marina. There is also a public boat launch/park near Prinyer's Cove.

Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound.
We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land.
There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails.
Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps.
It is a marsh, not a lake.

There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :)
This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave.

Children under 12 can camp for free. When booking a campsite please only include any guests over 12 years of age in your guest count. Children under 12 do not need to be included in your booking.
Contact us to inquire about large group and event rates. We host LARPing weekends twice a month. We also have a limited number of seasonal sites available from June to September.
I love this property and all the people who visit us, many have become extended family and for this I am grateful. There is nothing nicer than to have people drop by and spend a couple of hours, a day or a weekend, sometime when I get real lucky it's for a longer period of time :-)

This property provides great access to a secluded level campsite surrounded by mature hardwoods and white pine, overlooking Fagan Lake. There is an outhouse and firepit on-site, with firewood included (please don't bring your own firewood). Supplied Adirondack and other lawn chairs will really make your campfires special! Pets on leash are welcome. Tents, camper trailers and RVs up to 20 feet are welcome. This is a level pull-in site.
There is a covered post-and-beam picnic shelter on site for rainy days. A supplied BBQ, a large kitchen prep table, and a small round dining table complete the "glamping" feel. There's always a full 18 litre jug of drinking water on site, although we recommend that you also bring your own water.
Access to a secluded lake which is about 2.5 km x 0.5 km in size, and connected to Bennett Lake by the Fall River. The lake is rugged and remote - only 8 cottages on the whole lake. Swimming off the dock, or paddle over to the jumping rocks across the lake. Bring your canoe or kayak and explore the lake and wetlands. Or bring your mountain bikes and enjoy the backroads. This property is in the heart of Lanark County, with all amenities within a 20-minute drive. Lots of hiking trails nearby, and a nice sand beach at Silver Lake Provincial park 10 minutes away. We're not far from Murphy's Point and Sharbot Lake PP as well.
If you like dark skies and quiet woods and going to bed listening to frogs and barred owls, or waking up with the woodland birds, this is the place. No artificial lights here, and you can see the Milky Way clearly on a dark night.

Come stay next to the beach!
This beautiful rustic cabin sits on a treed lot with privacy.
The cabin includes a double Murphy bed, we supply all bedding. A Cot is available for a third person. The cabin is air-conditioned, has a small sitting area, fridge, Keurig coffee machine, and heater for the cooler nights in the fall. Firewood available. Washroom facilities include a hot shower ( bring your towels) and composting toilet within steps of the cabin. There is a propane BBQ and a Gazebo.
There is a beach and a public park a couple minute walk from the cabin. There is a 100 km bike trail within a 5-minute bike ride from the cabin. We offer the use of bikes, and kayaks when available and weather permitted. Grocery stores, restaurants, and small shops, are all centrally located within ten minutes from cabin. While you are in town you can watch Lakers and Ocean Boats go through the canal
Within 15 minute is Ridgeway and Crystal Beach which offers concerts, beaches and activities.
We are centrally located, approximately 25 minutes from Niagara Falls attractions like casino, museums, zip lining, jet boat tours, hiking in the gorge and other major attractions.

It was a bit difficult to locate the campsite due to snow banks obstructing the view from the road. However once found the campsite was good, obviously not clear of snow but this is winter camping so no complains. I would reccomend.

Brand new beautiful tiny house cabin with a plane surrounded by majestic trees and trails around the property. If the nights are cold you will need small pieces of wood for the stove. Bring your own blankets & pillows. As well as anything needed for cooking. We had a peaceful time during our stay.. although a cold 2 nights over March break.. it was a memory maker. Host was great and kept in contact. Would recommend to adults who can appreciate nature and surroundings.

This was my first hipcamp experience and I hate gotta say, it was amazing. Our host was super cool, he let us do our thing and if felt like we just had our own private gorgeous forest. The Plane is epic, the story of it is amazing, you can go watch a video I made about the history of the plane on YouTube, link below. This place really blew us away and we will certainly be going back. We even extended our stay an extra day.
It's peaceful, you can hear coyotes at night, and there's tons of room to explore. Definitely recommend for anyone, I brought my two kids, husband and my dog and the first night me, my 5 year old and my dog slept in the plane, it was awesome. Don't miss it on this place, it's so cool and so worth checking out. The Bunkie, no matter what season, is NOT COLD. Once you get that fire going in there, you gotta sleep with the windows open in February. It's that warm and nice.

I rented one of the bunkies this weekend for the 2nd time and its amazing. The bunkie has a bunkbed as well as a easily adjusted heater that keeps you nice and toasty. Highly recommend coming here. Joan is wonderful and very accommodating as well.
