This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. The large lawn area is great for camping, campfires, playing games and relaxing while watching the horse and buggies of the local Amish and Mennonites go ambling by in a manner that speaks to a time gone by. We have now added a Bunkie that can be booked for a more comfortable camping experience. The Perth Harvest Pathway section of the G2G rail trail is quite literally in the backyard. for hiking , bird watching and biking. Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound. We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land. There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails. Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps. It is a marsh, not a lake. Google Earth shows it better. There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :) This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave. There is no water or power, but there is an outhouse Your furry friends are allowed for free but if you have extra people please pay for them. You can adjust your booking if there are more people than originally requested. This covers costs like insurance and private property access, property taxes and the huge initial investment. Please note that in the winter months. There’s a $25 surcharge. This is required for snow removal to access the sites that are at at least 1 km into the bush. We are in a snow belt area and it is very difficult to keep the sites open in the winter. Four-wheel-drive is required for access in the winter!

There are four acres of woods to explore right beside Townsend Lake, a small, quiet lake perfect for canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Weekend Trip to Willow Pond Haven

What a delightful stay! We booked at the last minute and the hosts were so gracious. It was a perfect getaway. The cabin was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The bed was really cozy, there was room for our pup and we were grateful for the small heater. The setting was just lovely — pine trees, water views and a lovely meadow for the dog to run in. We were grateful for the picnic table, extra drinking water, propane grill, fire pit and really comfy chairs. The location is great — sweet small towns, great coffee, and nice hikes without a lot of people. We will DEFINITELY be back. If you’re considering booking — don’t wait! This is your place!

Oh my gosh! This is an 8 out of 5 stars! I took my 11 granddaughter there for a surprise overnight girls trip! Giselle greeted us as if we were family! The cabin & it's amenities were immaculate and over the top! I am usually a tent camper kind of gal, but damn! Quiet, close to the beach, and surprisingly private. Will go back again and tell everyone how great it is!

This is a great spot for overnight camping while cycling the G2G trail. The reservation system was easy. The amenities are great (hot shower, snacks to purchase). The bunkie was perfect for a rainy overnight.

Tom’s cabin is magical. We go back every fall for a couple of nights. We still love it as much as the first time that we were there. Watching the deer from the sauna is just amazing. The new covered deck out back is a great addition.

1 night at Willow Pond Haven

This is the cleanest bunkie I have ever stayed in. Everything was thoughtfully provided. Water, little heater, bbq, wood, extra blankets. Even a little wagon to help move things from my car to the bunkie location. I was offered help if needed and also given privacy. The whole site is tidy and pretty. The water fountain in the pond is a wonderful relaxing backdrop.

We had such a lovely stay at Willow Pond Haven! ❤️ Everything was perfectly set up for us—even the firewood for a cozy bonfire. We just had to bring our food and ourselves! Lisa and her partner were so warm and welcoming, and the property is beautiful and peaceful. We truly enjoyed our family getaway and would love to come back.
