This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. One of the high points of here is the interaction u will have with the pets, they are all super friendly and will play with u every time they see u, they believe u r here for them, between, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits etc they will be part of your stay, this is theyr home, u r theyr guests, that’s how they think, so u must be a pet lover. Set up your fishing shack outside your door, open a hole and fish! *Winter roads require an AWD or 4WD vehicle to access Juniper Cabin. Parking is available on-site for all guests. If you bring your boat, there is parking for your trailer as well. *Power outages due to storms are always a possibility in cottage country. Typically, power is restored within a few hours if this should happen. Cottages will be stocked with candles and flashlights for guest safety. *Internet/WIFI access is available at the property- connect to our WIFI and work from the cabins. * If you’d like to bring your own boat, there is a free boat launch on the lake, and we can support docking your boat. -- In case of emergency, the nearest hospital is: Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital, 33 Drummond St W, Perth, ON K7H 2K1 Guest are welcome to bring their own firewood. The first crate of firewood is included with your stay, and each additional crate is $5. My partner and I loved staying in the dome, our dogs had a blast playing with Max and Ruby too, sweetest pups I ever met. It was amazing sleeping under the stars and the moon. It was like camping but a lot better. Mitch was very attentive and made our stay an 11/10. If you forget something civilization is close by so don’t fret. The pond and the land surrounding the dome is breathtaking. If you want to sleep under the stars surrounded by nature add this trip to your bucket list you will not be disappointed !

Melanie & Ryan were fantastic hosts! They were kind, helpful, and incredibly responsive. The place is beautiful, and the lights make it magical and easy to navigate around at night. The yurt was gorgeous. My friend and I visited at the end of October, so it got very cold at night. However, the mattress heating pad worked wonders, and Melanie was incredibly kind to offer us additional bedding. Thank you for a great glamping experience!

We really enjoyed the campsite and the overall park was great. From the trails to the dog park, fishing dock, beach area, and clean amenities, the park was well maintained and easy to get around. The host, Monica is fabulous! She is incredibly welcoming and very guest focused - we loved our trip so much that we are likely getting a seasonal site to enjoy the park all season long! The park is very dog friendly, which was a bonus for us and our furry family member. Highly recommend the park for its super homey atmosphere and hidden gems when you're out for an adventure!

Monica is fantastic host. The campsite is clean. The yellow chalet is cute. Each cottage houses have there own personalities. They have the stuff you need for cooking and fire pit. Access to the water is good. Good for swimming boating and fishing. The hiking trails are marked. Highlly recommended if you like nature away from city noises.

This is our second visit this summer to Tiny Village Woodlands. Such a nice park! Very clean and well cared for. We loved this site. It is a large site, with good privacy. It has an upper and lower level which is right on the water. The incline between the levels is steep, which may not work for some but was fine for us. Monica is a great host, very friendly and accessible if you need anything. We have nothing but good things to say about our visit.

Welcome to Almost Paradise in Northern Ontario. We are 15 minutes off the Trans Canada highway, north of Blind River. 5-6 hours northwest of Toronto and 9 hours east of Thunder Bay, between Sault Saint Marie and Sudbury. Looking for a wilderness get away or just driving through? We can accommodate. Need internet? We have Starlink!. We also have star gazing and sunsets! As a new camp spot, upgrades at Almost Paradise are ongoing, including renovations to make a house into a cottage. Our 4 season camper, equipped with a woodstove is also now back at Almost Paradise and is available again for those that need accommodations and want a rustic and cozy option. Backwater Paradise was flooded out from a very wet spring and Almost Paradise was created as a backup. We have a new seasonal shower unit at this location, available to all our campers. Check out our extras!! We have 1 tent site, 1 RV site and a 4 season camp with an extra 4 person dome tent to accommodate extra people. This past winter was very forgiving and gave us the opportunity to work on a new bush trail at Backwater Paradise, for visiting nature lovers and plan on keeping it useable in winter. The trail is available to all our campers. . Some is lakefront and some is marsh. There is seasonal berries everywhere here. Please bring binoculars!! Almost Paradise has all of the same benefits as Backwater Paradise campers and just across the road. Including use of the lake, and the nature trail to Left Field and all of the extras. (eggs, firewood sales, shower and paddle boat) In Lake Hope there is plenty of bass and pike to keep a fisher and kid fishers busy. Common gear will work here and strongly recommend using wire swivel leaders. We promote 'lake 2 plate' principles and if you need anything let us know!! All campers have use of the water front no matter where your site is. On the shore of the lake front is a very large common area with firepit and a picnic table to enjoy the water and the shoreline. Lately a family of geese have been frequent visitors over there. We host fires Friday and Saturday nights weather permitting at this location. Almost Paradise has a gravel driveway and slopes towards the lake so you still get a good view of the lake. The driveway is the best spot for an RV. Our Muscovy ducks are at Almost Paradise, beside the camping. They are quiet but funny looking 😊 The next property over is our farm, where we free range our chickens and ducks with 2 livestock guardian dogs. Fresh eggs are available.

Marten River Escapes offers six waterfront campsites with 30 amp hydro service and three non waterfront campsites, one with 30 amp and two with 50 amp service. A couple are seasonal sites, most are transient sites. All have access to potable water faucets. A shared comfort station with flush toilets and showers with hot on demand water is centrally located. There is no sewer connections but we do have a honey wagon and guests can access dumping into our onsite septic tank. We also have one rustic glamping cabin in the campground area and a new 14 unit building under construction on the southeast portion of the property. There is an on site restaurant offering dine-in, patio seating, and take out service. (seasonally operated - hours vary depending on the season) In addition to the amenities available on the campsite you will also have access to enjoy the common shared areas of the property. Our property boasts 1000' of waterfront surrounded by crown land. We have a new shared dock with Muskoka chairs and a (typical Northern Ontario) swimming area in our semi-secluded bay. We recommend water shoes for those who go swimming and to bring a fishing rod (and fishing license) if you want to give that sport a go. A sunshade pergola was just added to the main dock area with several other seating areas scattered around the property providing relaxing water views and spectacular sunsets, all available for your enjoyment. There is a large open area to enjoy a game of frisbee or other lawn games. We also have a few water toys. A canoe, a kayak, a peddle boat and two small (fishing type) motor boats are available for a small rental FEE. You must have a valid boaters license in order to be able to rent the motor boat. All water equipment renters must sign a renters agreement prior to use. Due to sizing and proper fit, for safety we do recommend guests bring their own life jackets/pfd's but we do have some that can be used. We have a private boat launch and for a small extra fee you can reserve a dedicated boat slip space during your stay for your own personal watercraft. Boats or other water toy equipment are NOT to be left on the shore. A few local public boat launches into different lakes are also nearby. For those powersports enthusiasts (ATV's, SXS etc.) there are 100's of km's of crown land trails accessible from our property. We do NOT rent ATV's. There is space to park ONE passenger vehicle along with your rv/trailer or tents on each campsite. VERY large trucks will limit the usable lawn space available on the site. Extra passenger vehicles and/or equipment trailers must park in overflow parking.

Nobody around for miles - LITERALLY! on site if you like to ride and camp all at the same place. Gorgeous and serene ! Pricing for trail rides - sleigh rides separate. You can also bring your own horses for horse camping we have a beautiful new facility to accommodate almost any equestrian need. Upon arrival you can safely park your car and we can if desired carry your gear and you pack to the camping acreage via our tractor or golf cart or simply walk yourself - it’s not far. Our outhouse is near the main house - we have access to a SOLIS X for an extra fee if you need WIFI. Farm fresh eggs also available to cook over your fire from our 12 new and amazing chickens ! Free of charge ... we will do anything possible to make your stay comfy and relaxed. Please note - firewood is available for an extra fee (we prefer if you don’t bring your own since some can be infected with invasive species and we try to protect the area as much as possibles). Firewood is $6.00 a bag and typically includes starters and kindling) depending on the local supplier we use. Coming in the summer - fire pits - bunkies - GLAMPING - and more but for now - come walk / hike our endless trails lined with black berry bushes and wild strawberries along our “secret garden” and enjoy absolute privacy and solitude knowing we are sort of nearby if you need anything at all. We have very skilled trail guides and coaches on staff and we offer husband horses for those in the know :) We don’t have any set prices for trail rides yet so give us a shout and we’ll work it out but typically we offer lessons at - it’s difficult to price not knowing skill levels and staff required to support your experience so we hope you understand. Mostly we want you to come - unload your baggage and walk into our little slice of heaven ... we call it respite for your soul and we think you’ll think so too.
