Lovely maintained walking and biking trails on our property that we share with the local communities Greenway Trail system. Very close to many local businesses with the highlight of walking for ice cream or burgers'n fries at the Red Caboose! Campers can choose from six sites directly on the river, there are currently two rustic-looking outhouses on-site with another planned.
Campfires are permitted within local regulations and pets are welcome! Please be respectful of the property and other campers, alcohol is permitted, although glass bottles are discouraged Music is appreciated! Please packout all garbage and leave the campsite the same or better as found.

The Pine Bunkie at Tiny Farm is a two-storey, off-grid, solar-powered pine bunkie on a small, beautiful five-acre hobby farm outside St. Marys, Ontario. It sleeps two comfortably and it's the kind of place made for good books and songs around the campfire.
The main floor has a sitting area, a small kitchen with fridge, sink and coffee maker, and a BBQ outside for cooking. The loft above, reached by ladder, which is part of the charm, holds a queen bed with east-facing windows. Leave the window open and let the sound of birdsong be the first thing you hear in the morning.
Outside, a fire pit with red Muskoka chairs looks out over fields and a hedgerow that hums with birds and butterflies all summer. Your first fire is on us. When you're ready for more, the Kinsmen sell firewood right at Broken Rail Brewery, seven minutes down the road and a perfectly good excuse for a pint.
The bunkie has a composting toilet in a private outhouse. Full instructions are posted inside. Guests tell us they stop thinking about it within the first hour.
The horses love the adoration of new friends. The chickens roam freely and will find you on their own schedule. The dogs are friendly and will definitely visit you. The pace is slow. That's the point.
Seven minutes away (15 minutes walk through the field), Broken Rail Brewery pours excellent beer. We may see you there. The village of St. Marys has a sweet main street, proper coffee shops, and the kind of afternoon stroll that costs nothing. The Quarry, a stunning natural limestone swimming hole, is one of southwestern Ontario's best-kept secrets and entirely yours to discover.
Open May long weekend through September, when the hedgerow is full and the fire pit earns its keep.

The bush area has been used for camping by many local and visiting scouting groups over the years.
In 2021, we joined Hip Camp and now allow others to enjoy the beauty, peace, and challenges of camping in our bush.
The alpacas are a peaceful herd to watch as they graze their way through the day. Crias (baby alpacas), love to pronk and play in the pastures near their mothers. During May you may observe us shearing the alpacas.
June is the birthing and breeding month. They birth quickly, so watch carefully.
Tours of the farm with explanations of the fibre harvest process and opportunities to walk the alpacas are available to be booked through our website.

Park at the stream and take the bridge to your camp site equipped with gazebo, seating, picknick table and fire pit. A piece of heaven is what awaits you here. If you're looking for privacy your search is over. Imagine having your own island you reach by walking across the 15 metre bridge with a few areas to set up your tent(s) from where you'll fall asleep listening to the sound of the spring flowing into the pond, what bliss. The other site has a large rectangular pond of its own to ensure everyone has privacy.
Your drinking water comes from Mother Nature, not a well, true spring water that's icy cold and so refreshing.. There are two spring fed ponds which makes them revitalizing on a hot day when you go for a swim.
We are located 10 minutes away from the town of Hanover and the Allan Park Conservation is right beside us and has numerous walking and off road bicycling trails. The Saugeen River is 5 minutes away which you can kayak or tube down, too much fun that is.
Our property offers beautiful scenery, virtual privacy, you see glimpses of our home, peace and tranquility with the backdrop of Mother Nature to be heard, geese, wild turkeys, deer, lots of songbirds, coyotes and oh yes, our big friendly lovable er
be spectaular and later the stars twinkle above and maybe you'll even see a satellite high above while you're stargazing.
Each site has a table (you'll need to bring lawn chairs), firepit with a cooking grill, and a supply of wood you'll have to purchase from us upon arrival, as we are a forestry managed property. An outhouse is a pleasant walk within minutes of the site. Water for dishes and general washing can just be taken from the pond (DO NOT DRINK) Not that it would kill you, lol. Ray will keep you supplied with fresh spring water for drinking.
New to this site is a solar powered string of 300 lights, two single person floats, and a hammock for your added enjoyment.
There are numerous things to do within a 15 minute drive. A couple dams, 2 conservation parks, drive-in theatre, casino, horse racing, small stock car racing track (great for young kids), two local breweries, a busy local butcher and the Saugeen River. With more destinations as you move outward.
We promise you won't be disappointed and can't wait to share our piece of Heaven with you.
TAKE NOTE You will be charged $500 per bag/item of refuse you leave behind. WE DO NOT HAVE GARBAGE PICKUP, besides which you are supposed to leave the site as you found it.
CANCELATIONS: IF you cancel within two weeks of your arrival date, your money will NOT be refunded nor will you be able to change the date. We loved our stay for so many reasons. The main one being that this hipcamp only has ONE campsite. This ensures that we had total privacy and a quiet environment. The babbling brook, the fire pit, gazebo and outhouse was also a huge bonus. Our host, Hubrecht, always replied quickly and it was nice to meet him too. Definitely will be back!

This was an amazing site and Hubrecht is a wonderful host. The stream going around the campsite is amazing. I love being by water and this was perfect. The gazebo area was great too as it provided a nice shaded area to sit in.
Hubrecht Is very responsive and excellent to deal with.
I would highly recommend this site.

We had an amazing long weekend here and truly enjoyed every moment. The place was very clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. Everything was neat and well thought out, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The washroom was spotless, water was provided, and the hosts even arranged electricity for us, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The whole atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The cabin smelled wonderfully of fresh wood, and it was so nice to fall asleep while listening to the rain. We used the grill, enjoyed the clean and well-kept property, and spent our mornings drinking coffee by the pond.
Our dog had the best time running around, swimming in the small pond, and watching the frogs 🐸 she was very curious and really wanted to play with them! There were also chickens on the property, and we were happy to buy fresh eggs to take home with us.
A big thanks to Lisa and Scott for their hospitality. They were very kind, welcoming, and responsive to any request we had. We truly felt welcomed and comfortable during our stay.
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely come back. It was a wonderful place for a peaceful getaway and an unforgettable weekend.

My partner, dog and I stayed at Josh’s property on the Riverbend campsite with our little pop-up truck camper over the long weekend. Josh was super attentive, super friendly and his property was well-maintained. We did notice there was many other campsites on the property so there was a lot of other campers around. Typically we like to be quite secluded so this was a little crowded for our liking, but this beautiful spot made up for any noise or disruptions. This would be an amazing spot to camp with friends or with a larger group for sure!

What a beautiful weekend at Pootcorners! While the farm was busier than normal with shearing and visitors, Suelaine, Peter and their entire family were always readily available and eager to allow us to join in on all the farm happenings. We were able to help with feedings, learn about the shearing process and even have a hands on experience going through the fibres. Highly recommend visiting!

What a gorgeous spot! It feels really private and my dog loved romping around in the river. Also a great spot for bird watchers - lots of bald eagles, herons, sparrows and song birds! I was also treated to a chorus of coyotes in the night, I loved it!
