Campsite was great! Nice fire pit provided, and the site was private with lots of space to enjoy both sun and shade, plus evening stargazing. Jenna was a great host, very prompt with communication and accommodating! We floated down the river during our stay (highlight!) and she was kind enough to help us get to the river and provide a raft. The location is also really convenient, with towns just a few mins away in either direction if you need to grab anything or want to explore the area. Thanks for having us!

Camping by the river

We enjoyed our two nights at Jenna’s.
The property has two driveways the easterly side leads to the campsites.
We were provided with a self contained fire pit which had a cover and could easily be relocated. I think more campsites should use these.
The river is fairly fast flowing in the shallows but there is some deeper slack water which is great for swimming.
It’s a large well treed properly and there are two large flower and vegetable patches to explore.
There is a fairly new pit toilet but we found it was in need of better ventilation or perhaps some pine pellets on hand.
We were lucky to coincide with the Walkerton Homecoming Festival. It’s a 5 KM bike ride and was really enjoyable.
Overall a good stay despite the wet weather on Sunday

We loved our stay ! Campsites were clean and well maintained ! The use of the sauna was great ! Finished that off with a nice dip in the river ! We parked our trailer In a spot with a view of the river ! Very relaxing ! Would definitely go again ! From what I seen they were very accommodating to there guests needs !

On a random, unexpected longer trip and found this lovely hipcamp! The hosts were kind, pleasant, hospitable and lovely to deal with. Their property was beautiful, well kept and spacious. We would definitely recommend coming here for anyone who wants a quiet stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this riverside campground! Our campsite was great, and even though there were other campers nearby, everyone had plenty of space and respected each other’s privacy.
The sauna was excellent—very spacious, clean, and a perfect way to relax.
There is a road nearby, so you can hear a little traffic noise, but it didn’t bother us at all.
I definitely recommend this place! Just remember to bring your own picnic table and BBQ. If you’d like a fire pit, simply ask the host—they were happy to provide one for us.

We had a wonderful time during our stay! The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Jenna helped us find a spot where we could set up our tent trailer as close to the river as possible, and it was so peaceful being able to hear the water flowing at night. While sitting around the fire, we could look up through the trees and see the stars—it was such a beautiful and relaxing setting. Also being able to get down to the river and sit by the river. Our dog loved splashing in the water and being able to walk in and cool off.
The hosts checked in with us after our first night to make sure everything was going well. We mentioned that a light in the outhouse would be helpful, and by that afternoon, they had already installed one! We really appreciated how responsive and thoughtful they were. Any questions we had were answered promptly and clearly, and they made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.

Private forest for our tent!!

We were given coordinates vs an actual address from Hipcamp but it was not accurate at all. Please communicate with the host re: getting an actual address. However when we finally arrived, we were provided a flat campsite for our tent in a wonderful forest that was shaded and private. However there was plenty of noise from cars, trucks and motorcycles from the road nearby. We didn’t mind but if you are looking for a campsite that is totally quiet then this campsite might not be for you.
The river was very close by but inaccessible for a swim or even to put your toe in it. A canoe is available but with only one paddle and one lifejacket. This was also a disappointment. There is a lovely sauna but we were asked to provide our own wood. No big deal but it wasn’t mentioned in the listing. Jenna was truly a lovely hostess but we would have appreciated a more accurate listing.

I had a great weekend camping at Jenna’s Hipcamp spot. I have a travel trailer and we still had great privacy and electrical, with my dogs off leash running and access to the river all day. I would come back, and recommend this spot to people looking for a chill calm and private weekend.

10 ft pop-up camper
Jenna’s land was very private and picturesque. We were able to set up our pop up trailer close to the river. It was nice listening to the river at night and watching it during our campfires.
We used the sauna (which was lovely) and went swimming in the river.
Jenna was a great host and answered all of our questions promptly. Would definitely recommend her campsite!

We had a really great camping experience here! Since there were no other campers during our stay, we got an amazing tent spot with lots of privacy, our own firepit, and easy access to the river, which made the trip extra relaxing and peaceful. The natural setting was beautiful and perfect for a quiet getaway.
The only small thing to note is that the campsite uses portable washrooms. It was completely manageable and clean enough for our 2-night stay, especially with no guests around, but it could get a bit busy if the campground was full. Overall though, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and private camping experience.
