Relaxing Riverside Getaway, Peaceful Camping on the Water Come camp right along the Saugeen River and enjoy a quieter, more private kind of camping experience. The property runs along the river, so you’re never far from the water, whether you want to swim, float, paddle, or just sit and listen to it. There’s a calm, kid-friendly swimming spot on site and easy access to launch a canoe or go for a float down the river. It’s a great place to slow down, with mornings spent having coffee by the water and evenings around the fire, with plenty of space to just relax. The campsite itself is a flat, comfortable spot suitable for tents, campers, or small RVs. You’ll have access to potable water, a simple toilet setup such as an outhouse or portable toilet, and a fire pit for cooking or evening fires. This isn’t a busy campground. There’s plenty of space and privacy, so it’s ideal if you’re looking to unwind without being surrounded by other campers. Dogs are welcome and there is lots of room for them to roam. You’re still within a short drive of nearby towns if you need supplies, but once you’re here, it feels tucked away. If you’re looking for a simple, peaceful riverside stay with real access to the water, this is a good spot for it.

Beautiful 4 acre property right on the saugeen river. With a fun field full of yard games including golf! Enjoy walks through the ceder forest, and explore the rose garden. Lots of spots to enjoy the view, go for a swim/canoe. This is a perfect spot to do a float down the river. We have a canoe you can use for casual use, and fire pit. Camp directly along the Saugeen River with a calm, kid-friendly swimming hole access, and total privacy. Optional wood-fired sauna available!! - just provide your own wood! Many places to put up a tent by the river. Or in the field. Dog friendly and kid friendly!! All trailers will be in the field but will have access to water. We have a porta potty for a bathroom.

We were given coordinates vs an actual address from Hipcamp but it was not accurate at all. Please communicate with the host re: getting an actual address. However when we finally arrived, we were provided a flat campsite for our tent in a wonderful forest that was shaded and private. However there was plenty of noise from cars, trucks and motorcycles from the road nearby. We didn’t mind but if you are looking for a campsite that is totally quiet then this campsite might not be for you. The river was very close by but inaccessible for a swim or even to put your toe in it. A canoe is available but with only one paddle and one lifejacket. This was also a disappointment. There is a lovely sauna but we were asked to provide our own wood. No big deal but it wasn’t mentioned in the listing. Jenna was truly a lovely hostess but we would have appreciated a more accurate listing.

I had a great weekend camping at Jenna’s Hipcamp spot. I have a travel trailer and we still had great privacy and electrical, with my dogs off leash running and access to the river all day. I would come back, and recommend this spot to people looking for a chill calm and private weekend.

Jenna’s land was very private and picturesque. We were able to set up our pop up trailer close to the river. It was nice listening to the river at night and watching it during our campfires. We used the sauna (which was lovely) and went swimming in the river. Jenna was a great host and answered all of our questions promptly. Would definitely recommend her campsite!

We had a really great camping experience here! Since there were no other campers during our stay, we got an amazing tent spot with lots of privacy, our own firepit, and easy access to the river, which made the trip extra relaxing and peaceful. The natural setting was beautiful and perfect for a quiet getaway. The only small thing to note is that the campsite uses portable washrooms. It was completely manageable and clean enough for our 2-night stay, especially with no guests around, but it could get a bit busy if the campground was full. Overall though, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and private camping experience.
