This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community.
It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night.
The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead.
There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company.
Here is what the land offers:
-Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023
-Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table
-Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River.

The terrain is mostly flat but interesting. Campsites are private with good separation from each other. ALL sites have 2 car parking, a picnic table, fire pit and covered wood for purchase. Campfires are permitted according to our approved burn plan before midnight.
5G/LTE cellphone service is good for Bell, Rogers and Telus networks. We have 3 outhouses on the premises and an outdoor hot shower.
FREE Firewood can be gathered on the forest floor or pay for on-site pre-cut wood. Outhouses are close to campsites....but not too close 💩
Port Rowan is only 12 minutes away by car, most amenities can be purchased only 1 minute away at the local Busy Bee gas station.
We are situated in the middle of a Recreation Hotspot! Our site is within 3 minutes of paddling the Big Creek, 3 to 10 minutes to several A+ hiking trails, 15 minutes to amazing freshwater beaches of Long Point and Turkey Point, and the area is abound with cycling trails, motorcycle routes, geocaching, boat launches (we have room here for your boat!), cider/wine tours, and more! We are the perfect basecamp for everything the Long Point Bay area has to offer
We have some great watering holes nearby like burning kiln winery, hounds of Erie and Charlotteville brewing company.
Birders Paradise!
The ‘Long Point Birding Area’ in Norfolk County is one of Canada’s premier birding locales. With over 400 species of birds observed, Long Point looms large as one of the most exciting places on the continent to observe our rich birdlife.

Our micro brewery is located here because of our springs. The campsites are within walking distance to the brewery. The sites are in the forest with either a view of the pond, of Cartwrights Creek or of the Ottawa valley from a hillside.
We have short hiking trails, some outdoor games such as horseshoes or beach volleyball, and we have beer.

FIRE: Andre will call for a permit every day. No fires before 6.
Fires are too be supervised at all times and have a bucket of water nearby. Please leave the bucket upside down after your stay too reduce mosquito population.
GARBAGE: Please collect garbage and bring it with you. We unfortunately cannot accept garbage at the brewery. The municipality limits us to one bag and we have animals that would love to rip through your garbage bag before I can get to it. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE GARBAGE HERE!
FOOD... don't leave food out for animals to get overnight... If you don't have a car you can put your food in the silo by the brewery... animals can't get in there!

Book a visit to sit in our traditional Mongolian Yurt. Eat in our authentic Finnish cookhouse, swim, in the 18' deep pond. Explore the honey bees in their natural habitat. Visit our chickens and rabbits, skate in the winter. Welcome to Anastasia’s Domain! We live off grid, our farm is biodynamic and biodiverse. Our small cabins are 200 sq’ on 2 levels, the loft has a queen bed and the main floor has a futon. Our Treehouse cabin is 400 SQ' and can sleep 9. The toilet has its own door with a composting modern toilet. We provide natural water in a pump dispenser and a small fridge. All is solar power. There’s a barbecue. The cookhouse is 200’ away and sits 10. Come enjoy the 50 km’s of trails in beautiful, historic, Alexandria. Experience living in a self sustaining way!
This is a cabin experience, come prepared for an exciting time!
For your enjoyment, we have 2 e-bikes available for 20$ per hour, snow shoes $10 hr. We also have fresh organic farm foods for sale as well as our own organic honey... We are pleased to offer a pool and shower availability at the beautiful Georgian House Day Spa & Restaurant. 5 minute drive the usage is $25 per hour per person and includes towels & bathrobe. Bathing suit is required. Spa treatments and eating can be reserved with them.

Weekend Trip to Boho Bungalow in Port Dover
Our stay at Beth’s Boho Bungalow in Port Dover was an absolute blessing and a gift. It was magical beyond words, and it was exactly the peaceful, healing escape that my wife needed.
The property itself is a perfect paradise. We spent our time relaxing in the amazing hot tub, sitting by the cozy fire pit, and walking down to her beautiful, serene ravine. At night, the sky opened up to the most incredible view of the stars. Sitting outside, listening to the wind blowing through the trees and all the beautiful noises of nature, was deeply therapeutic. On top of the beautiful privacy, the location is perfect—it is a scenic, easy walk straight to the Port Dover pier, the beach, and all the local amenities.
I am a firm believer that angels walk this earth, and Beth is wholeheartedly one of them. She is genuinely one of the kindest, most gentle human beings we have ever dealt with. To make things even better, Beth's neighbor, Kat, and her husband were also just amazing, beautiful human beings. It was truly an absolute pleasure to meet them as well.
Even though we are local to the area, this felt like a completely different world. We had such a wonderful experience that we will definitely be going back. If you are looking for a deeply romantic and relaxing getaway hosted by extraordinary souls, please book this beautiful spot!

2 nights at Tincan Ranch
We stayed in the wee Boler and despite its size, it was perfectly comfortable for our nights. Otherwise during the day everyone was friendly and there were always dogs & goats to visit.
Denise & Chris were lovely, helpful hosts.
Would recommend everyone pay a visit!

Repeat guest, should I say more? Tincan_ranch Honestly such a great spot for a little outdoor therapy. Close to the city. My friend and I were the only 2 guests this weekend, no loud music, no family of 20 next door, no beer crushing bros... (well other then us two!) I would highly recommend them. Denise, Chris and Josh will welcome you and what a great place they have!

We had an excellent stay at the Lake Erie Geodome! The entire experience was relaxing, comfortable, and truly unique. The dome was beautiful, very clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed for a great getaway.
The location was peaceful, and being so close to Lake Erie made the experience even more special. It was the perfect place to disconnect, enjoy nature, and spend quality time together.
Everything was exactly as expected—or even better. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable escape by Lake Erie.

14 nights at Peaceful Off-Grid Cabin Retreat
We truly enjoyed the time of solitude we had at this family owned off-grid-cabin in the woods. There was plenty of potable water, stove to keep us warm, indoor compostable toilet, good cell reception to our surprise, close to local stores for groceries, a very cool outdoor shower available, and comfy bed. All we needed to do was bring our food and clothes! We saw a deer on the road on the way in, not far from the cabin and the birds each morning loved to sing their songs. A place to have beautiful walks. A real taste of nature. We could not deny hearing the juvenile great horned owl during the night awaiting for their mother to bring a rodent! Thank you to Cari, for the great hospitality in providing a quiet place to relax and refresh!

The river view at sunset was absolutely stunning, as was the mystic fog view in the morning. A very quiet, peaceful evening spent riverside and under the star-filled sky. Beth's Finnish Sauna was a great way to wind down after a long day on the road and was just as advertised! Thanks, Beth; we hope to be able to visit you again.

This was our second trip here this summer and I am so grateful we stumbled across your camp ground, we are avid campers but are very over provincial park camping and crowding and my body can't handle a hike in camp like it use to. The big fairly private sites are wonderful and our last trip was so quiet and peaceful. Convenience of being near stores trails and a quick drive to a beach combined with beautiful nature and privacy (and not having to deal with Toronto traffic to get it coming from niagara) makes for a lovely rejuvenating vacation. Thanks for making our trip a relaxing one.
