Pretty, wooded and secluded but also conveniently close proximity to services like fuel and food.
Perfect tent sites
Railroad is very close but never heard the train go by.
Deer in camp site areas every this am.
Campsites are clean and tidy
The solar lights at site were a nice touch.
Directions and gps perfect

My stay at Avonmore Oasis Camping was excellent!
I originally planned to stay one night but ended up staying two—and would’ve stayed longer if I didn’t have to return to the city. The host, Kirk, was fantastic and always ready to help. The site offered privacy, plenty of space, and each spot had its own firepit, picnic table, and garbage bin. The toilet was nearby and cleaned daily, with water pumps and outdoor showers just a short walk away. The quarry lake was refreshingly cold—perfect for a hot day. It’s a peaceful place I’d return to anytime to relax and enjoy nature.

We had a great time at Avonmore oasis. Kirk was extraordinary, he gave us marsmallows instead of buying from the store. He was very helpfull. And the campsite was well maintained. Would recommend this place to my friends.

Kirk is very responsive to the visitors needs. You can clearly see the bigger plans he has for the site, including a real restroom. The current set up is good but the updates will make it better. The issue for hikers is lack of good hiking sites in the area. But it is well suited for a family or group retreat.

Went camping with my family, they absolutely love it!! It was their first camping, they had their best time there. The most importantly, the owner there is very friendly,kind and hard working, making everything so easy and fun for my whole family. Thank you !!!!

I'm so glad me and my family discovered Avonmore Oasis. The outhouses were easily accessible and well kept. There were two trampolines and a sand hill that kept the kids super busy. The water hole had different boats to use. Kirk, the host, was friendly, open and super welcoming. It was a great two nights and we can't wait to go back next summer.

The place is quite, clean, easy access to toilet ( there are many of them), and safe.
Kirk is so gentle and available all the time. Trampoline and a small lake are available to amuse your little ones.
I really recommend it for families.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Hipcamp. We’re truly grateful for the experience. Kirk, the host, was beyond amazing. He was very helpful and friendly, and we genuinely enjoyed chit-chatting with him from time to time. We felt very peaceful there. There’s lots to do! Make sure you ask him, and he’ll be more than happy to show you around. He’s also got a food truck on site, fresh eggs you can buy, etc. Best camping experience ever! Highly recommend.

We had a great stay at the tent site on the Kirk property! The host was incredibly kind and helpful. At one point, my husband accidentally burned his finger while barbecuing. As we were about to head out to find a pharmacy, we stopped and asked if he might have anything at home that could help. He generously gave us some fresh aloe vera and mullein leaves to treat the burn—super helpful and very much appreciated. A wonderful experience overall!

Hands down our favourite HipCamp location so far! Kirk’s land was extremely well maintained, the swimming hole was amazing, porta potties were cleaned everyday and the showers were so neat!
Kirk has clearly done his research on how to upkeep a campground and keep his campers happy. He is super accommodating (even allowed my grandmother to use his old walker because she was having difficulties using just her cane), he answered messages promptly and even delivered food we had asked for from his food truck! Wood was supplied on demand ($10 for 10 big pieces) and he was very helpful with any questions we had.
A very quiet campground for how open it is, lots of space for children to safely play !

We had a wonderful camping experience! The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The campsite was peaceful, clean, and surrounded by beautiful nature - just what we needed to relax and unwind. You can tell the place is cared for with love. Highly recommended, and we’d definitely love to come back!

site was BEAUTIFUL! kirk was so kind and accommodating, he welcomed us readily even
though our arrival time was fluctuating with crazy traffic on the way in. he helped us start a fire and was so fun to chat with. he clearly loves his home and what he does, the campsite was so well maintained and cozy. 100% recommend stargazing as well!

From the get-go, Kirk was extremely responsive. My husband and two children camped here during a terrible heatwave, and Kirk was incredibly accommodating and understanding. Despite the heat, they all had fun and were impressed by how clean and spacious the campgrounds were. They'll definitely be going back to enjoy even more once the weather cools down!

My Husband and I camped here for 2 nights in a tent and it was a really nice time!
The field is pretty large and we were provided with a really nice shaded spot not too close to anyone else.
There was a heat wave announced the weekend we got there, but the watering hole was the perfect spot to cool off.
The water was warm closer to the shore, but as you got to the deeper parts the temperature drops dramatically.
As well, THE WATER IS BLUE! I wish I got more pictures of it, but you have to see it in person to believe it.
Most of the other campers seemed to be regulars, but they were all respectful and mostly kept to themselves.
It gets very quiet after sundown and the RV campers were courteous enough to shut their generators off after sundown.
The camp grounds are very clean, as well the portapotties are well maintained and not far from any campsite.
Kirk was also nice enough to let us charge out electronics by his chip-truck.
Hot food, ice, and water are all available as well.
Kirk, the host, is an amazing person. He is very responsive, hospitable, and an all around a cool guy!
On the last day he let us hang around and swim for as long as we wanted (it was +30°c out) and even hooked us up with some oranges 😁
Everything about our trip was perfect. We are hoping to come back.
Highly recommend to anyone looking to camp with their family or with their partner.

It was the best choice to pick Kirk’s land for the camping. We had wayyyyy too much fun!! There were so much to do like boating ,kayaking , jumping trampoline, campfire,good water to swim and others. The owner is also very nice & friendly and if you need anything, he will provide you. We even get to firework!!!! How lucky! Me and my cousin had the best time of our life. We will be going back there for sure!!

Kirk was an absolute gem from start to finish.
We drove nearly 5 hours and arrived at the site around 2 AM. Kirk was incredibly accommodating. He guided us to the site in the dark and even provided a firestarter to help us get a fire going right away.
The next morning, we all jumped into the oasis, which was the highlight of the trip. It has a beautiful shallow area that’s perfect for relaxing and playing, a little island in the center, and then drops to about 30 feet deep. If you dive in the right spots, you can even feel the cold spring water gushing out. Such a cool experience.
The porta-potty on site was surprisingly clean and well-maintained, as Kirk sanitizes it regularly. He also offered firewood for $10 (10 large pieces), which was perfect for our evening by the fire.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful and unique nature escape.
