We had a great time "glamping" in Rae's cabin. Very private, lots of space and camp fires for days. Definitely would recommend and going to try to come back in the winter to experience the wood stove.
I came here with my two kids and we had a blast! Rae was so friendly, very kind, down to earth and accomodating. I booked last late and last minute, due to unforseen circomstances with another place. She got back to me instantly. Cabin was nice and cozy and perfect for the three of us. We had a blast exploring the forest, foraging for mushrooms, having a fire, relaxing. She has a sweet daughter, the kids played with. There is a river right across the street, and a breathtaking waterfall a 2 min drive away! There is wifi on site and a tv in the cabin. There is a zip up kitchen tent as well.

I made a new friend, and so did my kids.
Will be back soon.
Clean and comfortable cabin and facilities. We had a lovely time, although our visit was cut short (by a chronic illness, no issues at all with the camp).
Rae's directions were spot on and we had no trouble getting there. We took a drive into a nearby town, a walk down the camp road, made dinner on the bbq, watched a movie in the screen tent in the dark :)
Rae was warm and welcoming, and very helpful. We're looking forward to going back for some guided hiking!

A beautiful quiet place and a nice cabin ! Very cool night and not far from home.
Great cabin close to the river and the falls. We enjoyed swimming! There is a lot of furniture and beautiful linghts. The place is a bit uneven for tents, and full of bugs at night, but otherwise peaceful.

Rae is the best. Super welcoming and inviting and always willing to help. The camp site was nice and peaceful and we enjoyed our visit!
We are very happy with our 2 night stay at Rae's camping site. We chose it because of all the available amenities. We were super glad with the place as everything was set up to give us beginners a sweet first time camping trial. It gave us a very fun first taste and we are excited to do more camping now :). Thanks Rae!!!

Lovely place! Magical at night with the fairy lights. Rae was so warm and welcoming! We enjoyed our stay! The beds were comfy and the place very cosy and clean. The scenery was spectacular and just what we need to escape the daily grind. Thanks for having us!

Rae’s land and surroundings were absolutely beautiful - quiet, decently private and has everything you need to enjoy your time and relax! The water had enough access for fishing and some cool dips. Very cool concept for the outdoor darts and for the bathroom. Loved the ability to get crafty with all the woods and nature around. Will definitely be returning in the future. Big thanks to the host for the warm welcome and good vibes!
It was a great little spot with all we needed. Host was very friendly. Perfect place to just get away from the city and relax by a fire with the stars.
It was really great, we loved the locations and the hikes. We have never enjoyed so much in the wild., it was the most convenient camp I’ve ever been to you can find literally everything from fire starters to umbrella to utensils, even a barbeque stove is ready to run!!, and our host Rae she was very nice, we hope her the best!
We had a great stay at La Rouge. We took the hike to the waterfalls and the kids and I really love it.
Love the peace and quiet.
Rae was a wonderful host, help us anytime we needed it.
Its a great place I recommend it to anyone that wants a gateway without all the prep since everything is there.😊

I loved the Camp Dan Rouge such a wonderful place with tiny cozy cabin in the wilderness I wish I had booked more days to explore the area. Rae is an amazing host very approachable and accommodating.

Camp dans Rouge is a lovely cabin equipped with everything you need. She is a very attentive host who wants to ensure that you have a comfortable stay. The red river is beautiful and so is the forest behind the cabin. Had a lovely time grilling and enjoyed the warmth of the campfire on a chilly night. Highly recommend this hipcamp.

Lovely experience. Rae is a great host. She made sure we had everything for a comfortable and warm stay.
This was my first camp with my girlfriend and we had a great experience! Rae (host) is very friendly, very attentive, and very kind and you can communicate your needs and she'll take care of them if possible. I definitely recommend their Mountain breakfast! Big portion and very delicious! We will be back again for sure.
We had a wonderful stay at Camp dans Rouge! Rae was a wonderful host, always going above and beyond to making sure we were well settled, comfortable and had a great time there!
If you’re planning on going there over the winter, don’t hesitate! The furnace warms up the cabin very well (we were toasty, also there’s a CO2 detector so no risk there), the bed was comfy, and the place equipped with everything one might need while camping and more (kitchen utensils, but also kettle, mini fridge, etc.). We definitely had a great stay and would totally be down to come back another time!

Six stars for Camp Dans Rouge! Amazing scenery, a roaring wood stove to keep you warm, and the best hospitality from Rae and her little helper. If you need a perfect mountain escape by the river, this is it. Highly recommend!

such a beautiful place, rea is very nice and welcoming! we had a wonderful 2 night stay, were able to bring the kayaks down to the river for a nice ride and some fishing down by the rapids, overall we had a really nice time and the place is very well equipped ❤️
Rae is super kind and her cottage has everything you need for a good time! The river was beautiful and it was a great place to unwind. She was very communicative and understanding. Went above and beyond to stock the camp with toys and a play pen for my 15 month old son. Great time and we will be sure to return!

Nice little camp just across the river!
Got Everything you need for a nice stay.
Highly recommend this place
Clean, and provided everything from water, a place to wash dishes, a toilet setup with toilet paper, a fire pit, loungers, a cooler for your cold stuff, (bring ice and it’s perfect!!) The setup of the doors and windows makes it so the wind moves through the cabin at night making it nice and cool for dozing. Incredibly beautiful view of the rouge river rapids and waterfalls driving up. So so affordable, the reason I booked was because I saw the note about it being a not for profit for an animal rescue - how adorable? I love turtles!
We enjoyed how close the wilferness was to the campsite. The river when calm permited us a nice little dip to freshen up. We loved the calm nights by the outdoor wood stove. Perfect place for grounding and absorb all the good vibes mother nature had to offer.
