Our cozy A-frame cabin and peaceful nature campsites are located in a beautiful mixed woodland next to the Missisquoi River, which is great for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding in the summer, and cross-country or backcountry skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. The property is fairly steep, so be prepared for a good 5–10 minute workout as you hike up to the cabin.
We have a stunning view of Mount Sutton, located about a 25-minute drive from the property. Owl's Head and Jay Peak are each about the same distance away.

Please note as we do not have washroom facilities, your RV or Trailer must be self-contained. We can offer garbage removal (compost, recycling, and garbage) for your stay with us. We also welcome any pet travelling with you but please keep them on leash as we have two adorable cats we do not want to scare them.

Super propriété avec vue sur montagne. Accès à la rivières St Maurice pour kayak, paddle board, baignade la pêche à 10 min a pied. Il y a aussi un petit stationnement si vous voulez y aller en voiture. Site est aussi voisin des terre du gouvernement avec sentier pour la marche ou vélo de montagne approx 1.5 km et la fin du sentier encore une autre vue incroyable des montages. Sur le site une petite chute et un ruisseau. A vous d'explorer ! Le bois est fourni, cependant s'il en manque n'hésitez pas a vous en procurer le site a beaucoup de bois tomber.

Les directions habituelles depuis Shawinigan :
Prenez la route 155 Nord jusqu’à l’Auberge Marineau, située au 3911 route 155. Continuez un peu plus loin jusqu’au pont Mékinac et tournez à gauche pour le traverser.
Le pont est payant (12 $ aller‑retour). Conservez votre billet dans la voiture, il sera nécessaire pour la sortie.
Après avoir passé la guérite, tournez immédiatement à droite sur le chemin des Bêtes Puantes. Continuez sur environ 4,5 km. En haut de la montée, vous verrez l’enseigne du camping : tournez à gauche.
Suivez ce chemin jusqu’aux emplacements. Le site réservé se trouvera sur votre gauche; repérez le numéro correspondant à votre réservation.

Gorgeous site! Better than the photos. The hosts were super fast at responding, and everything was ready for us to use easily. Kayaking on the lake was a beautiful experience, and I loved how easy it was to access everything.
One note is that the ground is extremely uneven, which was fun for us and a cool environment to camp in, but it would be challenging to move around the site if you have any mobility issues.
Un site magnifique ! Encore plus beau que sur les photos. Les hôtes répondaient super rapidement à nos messages, et tout était prêt pour que nous puissions profiter facilement de tout sur place. Faire du kayak sur le lac était une expérience magnifique, et j’ai adoré à quel point tout était facilement accessible.
Un petit point à noter : le terrain est extrêmement inégal. C’était amusant pour nous et ça donnait un cadre vraiment original au camping, mais il pourrait être difficile de se déplacer sur le site pour les personnes ayant des problèmes de mobilité.

We had a wonderful stay at Camp in Rouge! Camping was so effortless without the hassle of packing tons of supplies—all we needed to bring were our clothes and food. Rae is an incredibly friendly and welcoming host who instantly made us feel right at home. She gave us clear, detailed directions to the secret waterfall, which turned out to be a major highlight—our son had an absolute blast!
P.S. My husband is still raving about the brownies from the bake sale!

3rd visit to Agape Gardens, but this time with my family, and once again, such an amazing experience! Jeremy and Jenny are wonderful hosts who genuinely care about their guests and make you feel right at home.
This place has quickly become my favourite little escape to disconnect, relax, and enjoy some quality time.

My partner and I stayed at the House of Leo and it was a perfect getaway. The cabin is beautiful and so cozy, and the hosts were kind and responsive from start to finish.
The spa experience under the stars is a must-do. And the dinner of soup and grilled cheese made our stay extra special.
Highly recommend, and we can't wait to come back.

My friend and I had a very nice stay at Ferme Lanthorn in mid September, as part of a bike-packing trip. Mary was easy to communicate with and veryvl accomodating, making sure we had everything we needed. We found the place easily and were greeted by Mary and Pearl (the dog). Mary gave us a tour of the beautiful property, and where to set up our stuff. Loved seeing the deer and sheep get fed in the morning. It's was peaceful, beautiful, and easy.

This little camp has all the amenities you need! Every corner you look is jam packed with details to make your stay better! The cabin was clean and comfortable. Woodstove and space heater for cold nights, fan for warm nights, TV and wifi for rainy nights! The mini fridge was an asset for us! The modular beds were convenient. Fully stocked with cooking/dinning gear, card and board games, extra blankets, and drinking water! Outside there are two options for a fire: a firepit and also a woodstove. There is a BBQ and smoker, a mosquito netted dining area, and all the grills and tools you could need! Rea was a wonderful host! She gave clear instructions for checkin, was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed! She was knowledgeable about the area and surrounding nature, and gave great suggestions on where to walk and fish.

David hat uns sofort begrüßt und geholfen - wir durften den Tisch verschieben, damit wir mehr Platz hatten für den Camper - sehr nett und nicht selbstverständlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Der Blick auf das Wasser, auch morgens beim Kaffee war einfach toll - magisch. :) für uns war der Aufenthalt perfekt als Zwischenstop auf der 155. Würde immer wieder dort halten & wünsche David noch ganz ganz viele Gäste. :) liebe Grüße & alles gute.

I booked this campsite last minute and it was such a lovely place! There is a fully functional bathroom and shower, and the campsite lot is surrounded by beautiful wildflowers. There is no noise pollution and the property is absolutely gorgeous and well-maintained. I definitely want to go back with a group of friends!

Weekend Trip to Camp dans Rouge/ Camp in Red
What an awesome trip ! Rae has a cute little set up and everything you need to have a good stay. We overpacked because we weren't sure what she'd have, but let me tell you, she actually does have everything!
My only suggestion for campers coming is to maybe bring your own chairs if you like something a bit more comfy than Rae has set up, but this doesn't affect my rating or anything - just thought that others might like to know!
