Lièvre Rouge sits on 275 private acres in the Upper Laurentians, 2.5 hours north of Montréal, 2.5 hours nndrth of Ottawa and just one hour from Mont-Tremblant Close enough for a short getaway and far enough from everything that the silence becomes something you can feel.
No road noise. No ambient light. Just boreal forest, three spring-fed lakes, and the particular weight of having nowhere to be.
The micro-cabins are designed to disappear into the landscape - not minimalist for aesthetics, but stripped of everything that gets in the way. Wake up to birdsong or snow-muffled quiet depending on the season. Step outside to a lake that, for these few days, belongs entirely to you.
The Spa du Sous-Bois (Open from August to May) is the kind of place you stop rushing through. Outdoor thermal soaking, wood-fired sauna, deep forest quiet. Included in your stay. Best appreciated after a long afternoon on the trails or before the evening begins.
Friday and Saturday evenings, follow the lights through the trees to the Café-Buvette - a forest speakeasy that doesn't appear on any map. Handcrafted cocktails, local spirits, craft beers... the kind of atmosphere that only exists when the setting does the work.
The property connects directly to the P'tit Train du Nord, one of Québec's most beloved outdoor corridors. Cycling in summer, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter. We don't close for any season- we just change what's waiting for you outside.
This is not a resort. No front desk, no itinerary, no manufactured experience.
What there is: 275 acres, three lakes, a forest spa, and a hidden bar at the end of a path through the trees.

We are a growing vineyard! We have no wine to sell or to taste (yet!). However, we have other activities such as animals, forest trails, visiting our vineyard plots and using our BBQ. Close to the following activities: Safari park, lake champlain, bike circuit, cider factories and vineyards of the region. 30 minutes south of the Champlain Bridge for Montreal.
Espresso and cappuccino for sale at the boutique, as well as fresh eggs.
Access to a spa, sauna, and garden gazebo is available upon reservation 48 hours in advance and for an additional fee payable at the shop.

Weekend Trip to River Rest
We loved our time here at River Rest 🏕️
Its a beautiful site! The vintage camper looked even better in person - it was cozy, clean and comfortable. The potable water was sufficient and the dry toilet was easy and clean to use. The propane stove worked well for cooking 🍳 . There is a tiny fridge inside (not super cold) which can work for keeping food cool with cold-gel ice packs.
And the river access is very private too, although its across the road, we had no issues getting down there even in the night time!
Mel was super accommodating and friendly to talk to ☺️
We enjoyed paddleboarding in the river 🏄♀️ and also had dinner by the water at sunset 🌅
I think this place has incredible value and we definitely will carry some unforgettable memories from our stay here! ✅

This is a little piece of Paradise in the middle of Saint George’s Quebec located on a large property right next to Rivière du Loup. Sebastian was such a helpful host ! I made a mistake on my booking date and he honored it the next day. Campsites were very clean and quiet. We really enjoyed the use of a picnic table on our side.

Stayed in the cutest trailer Such a beautiful lake to explore with a private beach. The host was very quick to respond to any inquiries. The use of the paddle board was a bonus.
Only downside is that transport trucks will go up and down the road (road is not as quiet as we thought) and the other guests at the other lot would walk right by or behind the trail. I'd still recommend and would book again

Nous avons absolument adoré ce camping ! 🏕️❤️ Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et nous en gardons de très beaux souvenirs. C’est un endroit magnifique, calme et chaleureux, parfait pour décrocher de la ville et profiter pleinement de la nature.
Tout s’est très bien passé et l’ambiance était vraiment géniale ! Un grand merci également aux propriétaires pour leur accueil et leur gentillesse. 😊

It is a great spot. Sebastien was incredibly responsive and helpful. I stayed in one of the "By the River" sites. The ground was dry (despite thunderstorms earlier that day), not many bugs, and the road noise was faint enough to not be noticed even when in a tent.

My husband and I had the best time camping here! It’s such a cozy and peaceful spot. The little camper is very cute, well-equipped, and kept very clean. The dry toilet was also clean and not too far from the campsite.
The private beach and river across the road are so beautiful and fun to enjoy. The fact that the campsite is pet-friendly is a huge plus as well!
We would definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. The hosts are very friendly, and we will definitely be going back! 🥰

Weekend Trip to River Rest
Thank you for a lovely stay. It rained, but I was dry inside with lights and power to charge my phone after a long day. It was very comfortable. My only concern is there was no way to lock the trailer from inside for the night. As a female traveler it would have made me more at ease had there been a lock. Also note my phone service (Fido) was a total dead zone here. No service at all. I still enjoyed myself, listened to things I had downloaded on my phone, used offline downloaded maps to find the place. Just wanted to mention in case anyone in the future could find the info helpful. Make sure to download things for offline use and screenshot messages/details of rental before arriving just in case you have no data/cell service.

Sebastien was super helpful and very responsive. He had some add on extras that were kind of nice. He responded in both French and English which we appreciated. The driveway down to the site was a bit tricky for us as we had a 38 foot RV towing a car trailer but we managed and we were rewarded with a beautiful spot on the river with hard packed fairly level ground. Very secluded.

Just what we wanted! Beautiful land up a little mountain under a luscious forest canopy, with a warm camp fire, very big lot to explore full of untouched wilderness. Super nice firefly show and mosquitos were really not that bad.
All the while hearing the soft flow of the rapids. So peaceful. We had access to their beautiful private beach to swim, fish and explore and have many laughs. Good for paddleboarding! Folks super friendly and accommodating. Thank you!!

Great cabin, extremely quiet (we were there on weekdays). The nightsky is a great view, we heard lots of animal noises coming from everywhere, it was mystical. Our dog loved the place.
We did not get to meet Steve, but he is a super responsive host.
