Enchanted Forest Camping Adventures
Wonderful experience hammock camping with our dogs. Eileen was a great host with a beautiful property!
My best advice is to come with realistic expectations and you’ll have a blast! Be prepared to use rustic outhouses (or bring camping toilet setup like we did), bring water for drinking and dishes (no water source, no showers) carry out all waste with you, leave property better than you found it. Nice, cool, swimming hole… Everyone we ran into was friendly and helpful. We will be back.

Had a great experience at Whispering Pines. Eileen was a wonderful and generous host, and very friendly to bikepackers.
Campsites were private, shady, and had easy access to outhouse facilities. A great-value option for the area, which has few other places for overnight accomodations. Booking through HipCamp was quick and easy.

Me and a buddy just needed a place to setup camp for the night and this place was perfect for that. Eileen was very nice and friendly, and it felt like real woods camping but with the added benefit of some amenities. The bathrooms where slightly lacking but we where on the move so much that it wasn't really a problem. We would 100% stay here again!

The grounds were lovely and there was much to explore; the private beach is a great feature. The pets enjoyed it as well.

Such a cozy, amazing spot. Our site was really spacious, surrounded by many trees which for us felt really private. We really enjoyed our stay; it was so relaxing and great. Thank you Eileen for being a great host! She provided firewoods for an affordable price, and she also showed us available sites so we could choose our place. Looking forward to coming back here, hopefully this time weather allows to also enjoy the pond!

This was such a wonderful, magical place! Eileen is amazing and running the place herself, she is so kind and welcoming, she made our stay exceptional! There are many beautiful campsites with lots to explore! She has so much to see and many beautiful decorations.

Whispering Pines/Enchanted Forest is truly a one-of-a-kind special place. What I first found to be odd, and even a little creepy, were bad vibes I brought myself.
• Is it rustic? Yes.
• Are the facilities getting run-down? Yes.
• Is it full of delightful nooks and crannies? Also, yes.
• Is Eileen (the host) lovely and gracious? Absolutely, yes.
Things to know before you go:
• There is no potable water on the site. In a pinch I am sure Eileen would help from the limited supply she has, but don’t bank on it. Your best bet is to bring an ample supply of drinking water.
• Some sites are clearly defined, with picnic tables and fire pits, but I imagine if it gets a bit crowded you may have to pitch your tent in a less defined area (there is a lot of space) and use one of the communal fire pits available. When I was there, I would have gladly allowed campers to sit at the picnic table I had if they were in a site that didn’t have one and wanted to have a meal comfortably.

The place is looking a lot better these days - the debris from the storm a few years ago has been cleaned up and a lot of the aging wooden fences and such have been replaced.

I loved Eileen's location. Hicking trails, rest areas, beach area, pond. Quiet and very hospitable. Eileen is a great host. Loved my caming experience.

Enchanted Forest Camping Adventures
I adored my stay at Whispering Pines. We came up before the grounds had officially opened for the season and despite Eileen’s concern of her property not being at its best, it was BEAUTIFUL! The land is both whimsical and enchanting, with so much to see and explore. The spring fed pond was a highlight and my dog (who does not like water) had the best time fetching sticks from the water. Both the pond and beach are much larger than the photos show. You can tell that this place is well loved, with people returning year after year to experience the tranquility it offers. Eileen was a lovely and attentive host, and is spoken of very highly from other campers.
This place is a hidden gem, it’s close to a few towns if you forget ice and has cell reception to send a pic of your campfire to your friends in the city. It has a variety of site configurations, whether you want views of the water, or a space tucked away with more privacy, maybe a spacious and flat area or a cozy site with hammocking trees - there is something for everyone. If you’re lucky your site might have tables or chairs, maybe a grate for campfire meals or a pre set line to hang dry gear. The outhouses were spotless and topped up with toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and plenty of wood available to keep a strong campfire going. Eileen created an authentic backcountry camping atmosphere that simply can’t be found elsewhere. My only complaint is not finding this gem years ago. I love this spot and I will be back!

We had an excellent time at Whispering Pines! The camp sites are spacious, private, and each one is unique. Eileen greeted us warmly and was available if we needed anything or had any questions. This is a great spot to camp and connect with nature. We will 100% be returning!

Eileen is such a very sweet lady all throughout our stay. We stayed for 3 nights with 2 kids and they both loved it. There are tons to do to keep your kids busy. There is the playground and the small pond/ lake.
You get to choose your own campsite. Not all of them has picnic tables. It's private and there's lots of trees for some shade.
The campground is very rustic and is a nice way to get in touch with nature.
When I told Eileen that one of my kids got stung by a 🐝, she immediately gathered leaves for remedy and offered other solutions for relief. She's always around and available when you need help. She even lent us a booster cable for the car, lol.
All in all, we love Eileen's land and we are planning to come back. My only comment are the outhouses that I think need some improvements. They are dispersed around the campground so whichever site you choose, outhouses are just around the corner.

Beautiful wooded space with an amazing friendly host !
We had a great weekend and wonderful time a very calm and quiet camp ground with great friendly neighbour's. The campsites are clean and very naturesque . Its a very woodsie and natural vibe . I would definitely recommend if you want to get away from city life and just take it easy around a fire .
Quite a few spots that are great for star gazing and catching the moon , we had a great time and plan to go back !
Not necessarily the most entertaining for teens so maybe plan some activities to bring and help keep entertained , though there is a cute little man made beach and a small parc for younger kids .

We went tent camping and picked out a site from a lovely selection, so much space and privacy which we really appreciated. Eileen was very welcoming and kind. This is a great spot to wind down in nature and spend quality time with loved ones. The beach is nice and spacious. I will say if you are looking for a large clear water lake to swim in this may not be the best candidate but Wispering Pines makes up for it in other ways. Happy camping:)

Fantastic land, feels like it’s welcoming you as soon as you arrive. Eileen is a wonderful lady. Plenty of camp sites with options for more or less privacy. Great little playground for kids and a swimming pond with little beach. 100/10 will definitely be going back

A wonderful place to relax. This was our first camping trip with the kids, and we are very pleased. It’s perfect for families. Everything is clean, comfortable, and surrounded by nature. The tent sites are beautiful and cozy. There is a children’s playground right in the forest. Highly recommend!

We had the most lovely, peaceful camping trip for our anniversary at Whispering Pines! Eileen is generous and kind, the campground is beautiful and just what we were looking for. We got lots of love from Shadow as well, who came to check in on us around dinner time. Definitely coming back to this gorgeous getaway in nature.

This campground is magical, very special. It is very peaceful, very quiet. At night, All I could hear were the wind blowing in the très and someTimes the animals roaming around at night.
The Forest is absolutely stunning. I got to choose if I wanted to camp under pine trees, Apple trees, oak…
This place is the place of like rustique camping.
Oh! And Eleein is a lovely lady. The love for her very special forest transpires in the way she keeps it so authentic.

Whispering Pines is a great spot for real camping. The campsites offer good privacy, and the pond is perfect for a short swim with a sandy area that gives off a beach vibe. I truly loved this experience and willing to try again.. What really stood out is Eileen's welcoming greeting.. she's so amazing to make you feel like you're at home.. actually everyone there was nice, helpful and when I bought wood over there they were very generous.. Eileen has shared some of her experience with me by explaining the different types of wood.. which ones to start the fire and which logs to add afterwards.. I got to choose the campsite that I liked ... Eileen was so nice to tell me to take my time to pack when it's check out.. so I was very relaxed when it was time to leave ... It wasn't really a commercial activity for Eileen and she managed to make me feel the same..that what really stood out in this experience and that's why I'm coming back to this enchanted whispering pines ... Thank you Eileen and Thank you everyone.
