Weekend Trip to Domaine de la Templerie

We had a great time camping on Cynthia’s land! She was very accommodating and kind. Electricity, water and firewood was available at the site. Although we loved the campsite, we were a party of 5 and each site is narrow with the next site right beside, thankfully there were no other campers in the site next to us because we wouldn’t have had enough space if there were. For a party of 2, or maybe even 4, the spot would be perfect! Or if you were fortunate like us to have an empty site beside yours. There were, however, other campers 2 lots over and they were playing music, as were we, and we didn’t interfere with each other. That is to say, noise traveling is not an issue and campers can be comfortable in their site without bothering others. Thank you for having us, we would definitely come back!

Loved this site! Incredibly picturesque, very family-friendly, plus our toddler (and we!) loved walking around the farm in the morning and meeting the sheep, donkey, pigs, and the farm dog, Whiskey. It was beautiful in fall just after the harvest, and we bought some mutton before heading out- best we've ever had. Would love to stay here again if we are in the area.

We had a nice stay at Nathalie's cabin. It is really well equipped so you don't need to think of everything like a tradition camp site. The bed is also veryy comfy. She has cute chickens and dogs on the property as well.

Weekend Trip to the Goose - Jamink Farm

We had a wonderful time, the camp was lovingly maintained. They had everything we needed from plates to silverware and cooking utensils to pans. There was a lot of local wildlife that wandered through including a hunting marmot. It was an amazing time away from it all and cannot recommend it enough

Very nice site. I was a Sunday night I was there so there was only one other camper. I think if it was full it would have felt too crowded but my experience was very quiet and relaxing. Site was surrounded by beautiful trees and fields and it was the perfect time to see all the fall leaves.

My partner and I had a great time here! The camper was beautiful renovated and decorated. It was spacious and comfy with a nice outdoor area too. It was an easy drive to the shops and old Montreal. The hosts are wonderful and clearly put effort into making you feel welcome.

Great for a stop-over to sleep on my drive from Toronto to the Maritmes. Stephan was kind and welcoming. Location without address could be a bit confusing but the Google coordinates were exactly correct — just look for the bus camper parked in the drive.

We just needed a place to stay the night on our road trip out east and this was perfect. We used the coordinates to find the place and it took us straight there, no issues locating it, even in the dark. Lots of space to exercise your dog if needed. Stephan was very responsive and helpful! Just sad we didn’t see the pig! We would stay again.

Pretty, wooded and secluded but also conveniently close proximity to services like fuel and food. Perfect tent sites Railroad is very close but never heard the train go by. Nature is allowed to thrive on our property, and the entire property is forested and wild. The majority of our campsites are shaded under a verdant and lush canopy. All we ask of our visitors is: that whatever you bring in you take home with you, that you leave your campsite and the property the way you found it, and the only thing you take from here are pictures and happy memories. All of our campsites are off-grid, un-serviced, drive-in camping. Campfire wood and recycling facilities are available on site. Maintained outhouses are available throughout the property. There is no potable water on the property so please bring your own drinking and cooking water. Children under 12 can camp for free. When booking a campsite please only include any guests over 12 years of age in your guest count. Children under 12 do not need to be included in your booking. A destination for Montrealers fleeing the hot urban summers, Oka National Park is easy to reach from the city and well worth a few days of exploring. With its beaches, wetlands, and proximity to gourmet wine, cheese, and maple, its popularity is no surprise. But not just a sight for sore eyes, Oka also features Le Calvaire d’Oka, an 18th-century religious complex of seven oratories and chapels near an easy 4.4-kilometre hiking trail with views of Lac des Deux-Montagnes. Kayaking and canoeing opportunities are plentiful in the park in summer, and while it’s lovely year-round, autumn is particularly pretty with crimson, gold, and auburn foliage. Camping options in Oka National Park are more modest than in other nearby areas, but the semi-serviced campsites and four-person cabin are available in both winter and summer.

Tips for snagging a campsite

Online bookings for campsites open at 8am ET on November 14 of each year.
Scoring a walk-up site is highly unlikely in peak season (May to October). Campers should book well in advance, especially on weekends.

When to go

Oka National Park camping sites are usually quite crowded, but particularly so in the last week of June, the last week of July, and the first week of August due to provincial holidays. While the park is open year-round, some services may not be available in winter.

Know before you go

To stay overnight at one of the Oka National Park camping sites, you’ll need to pay the daily entrance fee per adult on top of the nightly camping rate.
The park sometimes reaches capacity—arrive early to avoid being refused entry.
Dogs are allowed onsite, but only in certain areas. Guide dogs and service dogs are allowed everywhere.
Equipment rentals are available throughout the park.
