Anastasia’s Domain!

We stayed for two nights over a weekend when the temperature was about 40C. Our cabin was well furnished, and we loved visiting the bunnies. However, the only way to cool the cabin was a tiny desk fan (about 8" in diameter). The first night, the cabin electricity (powered by solar panels) went out at 1:30 am so it was really hot upstairs where the bed was without a way to circulate the air. The second night, the power went out at 10:30 pm, before we'd even gone to bed, so we spent the last part of our evening in complete darkness then had a very difficult time falling asleep in the sweltering heat. The only item using electricity was the tiny refrigerator provided in the cabin. When we notified the owner that the power went out in the middle of the night, he suggested we unplug the refrigerator to save power. We didn't do that, but we still lost a significant amount of food. The other annoying issue was that the owner's dogs constantly barked throughout the night, keeping my son awake. On our second night, we tried to find a clearing to do some stargazing. As we walked along the trails on the property to find a clearing, the owner's 2 large dogs spotted us and proceeded to chase us through the woods, barking at us the whole way. It was TERRIFYING, and we're lucky we didn't get hurt stumbling through the woods or getting bitten by the dogs. We mentioned the dog issues to the owner, who acknowledged that his dogs run around loose at night and bark but they're "nice dogs."

Victor was an amazing host! Always there if we had any questions, very welcoming. Give us a tour when we arrived, his wife Julia cooked us a typical Ukrainian rabbit stew which was excellent. Would definitely come back!

Everything You Need

My sister and I had a wonderful time! Granted it was incredibly hot, but the cool swimming pond fixed that during the day and the fan in the cabin eased the heat at night. The cabin had a BBQ, camp stove, and firepit. Plates, utensils, kettle, cups, mini fridge, etc. Even the composting toilet was conveniently next to the cabin with motion sensor lighting. No stumbling around in the dark at night. You can't park at your cabin but the owner will cheerfully haul you and your gear to it, in his zippy UTV. There are also some gorgeous big dogs that roam freely around the forest grounds. If they see you, they may pop up for a quick pat, then mosey on their way. It was enchanting.

A Perfect Getaway

Host Victor and his family are the most welcoming. This was our second year booking a trip to their domain, and it was just as wonderful as the first time. We stayed in the beautiful treehouse this time. It was really spacious and had a lot of amenities (board games, coloring books for the kids, eggs, honey, etc.). They were very kind and offered fresh vegetables from their garden. We played at the lake and had a great time. We will definitely be coming back for sure.

Crazy Treehouse

Anastasia's Domain 3 Treehouse!

The host has done a breathtaking job with the treehouse and it's surroundings. They provide multiple cabins according to the number of guests. We were 10 people so we ended up getting 'sunflower' which is the biggest treehouse they have and we had a really great time and I would definitely visit again.

Take me back soon!

What a little paradise! We got to meet the lovely Anastasia herself on our arrival and got the tour of the property (stunning!). The cabin was so darling, with fresh eggs and a little pot of honey inside to welcome us. The bonfire pit was just outside, and there was a ton of fresh water and honestly everything we could have possibly needed. We got to pick some tomatoes, apples, go swim in the water hole, have a bonfire, and see the stars. I can't wait to return! Thanks Victor and Anastasia, it was a dream!

Perfect spot for a vacation

This place has everything: beautiful surroundings, the pond is great for swimming, there is a lake with beach and a big park walking distance, our toddler couldn’t be happier, my husband did some fishing, he couldn’t be happier as well. The cabine had everything you can possible think you need, it was cosy and quiet, right in the middle of nature. A nice play structure for kids was also on the property. Lots of options for cooking, bbq, fire place, a little wood fire pit and the wood was provided by the host for free. Then least but not last, Victor and his family were super friendly and generous. They cooked an amazing chicken dinner and a great breakfast for a very decent price. The honey that Victor makes right there on the property, well, him and his bees, tastes amazing; we got some for home; we also found fresh eggs in our cabin when we arrived. I wished we would stayed longer. We will definitely go back in the winter too.

We absolutely loved staying at Anastasia's domain cabin 1 ! Victor the host was very welcoming and helpful. Cabin was super clean and has everything you need to cook. We will book again for sure ! Beds are a bit stiff though.

My son and I had an amazing time! The host family was so kind and helpful, they made it very easy to enjoy our time disconnected. The beautifully maintained park is less than a 5 minute drive away and we got a chance to have brunch at La belle sorelle, which was super yummy.

It’s fun to come with your friends& family. The owner was very friendly & the dog. There is small pond which you can have all by yourself. Everything was very nice. The only problem was bugs but obviously it’s forest so don’t forgot to take bugs spray even if you forgot you can guys in Canadian tire. There is so many stores near by

Anastasia’s Domain Glamping weekend

Hi , we loved our time at Anastasia’s domain! Cute cabin , comfortable bed and all the amenities needed in terms of kitchen supplies and some entertainment items such as playing cards and board games . We liked the campfire and the cookhouse and we were only a short drive in to Center of town . Would recommend .

Beautiful Stay in Cabin #5

We loved staying in Victor’s cabin. It was very clean, cute, and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed exploring the trails nearby. Victor left us some of his honey and farm fresh eggs to try which was very nice. We will definitely be coming back soon!

We really enjoyed the night we spent in Victor's cabin. There was a lot of attention to detail and Victor made special efforts to take care of us. My young son loved the ride in the sidewinder, seeing the chickens and playing with the puppies. Would stay here again. It was quiet, restful and easy.

We had a great time at Anastasia’s domain. It is a magical place where you can connect with nature easily and enjoy a relaxing and peaceful time. Cabin in the Woods with Honey Bees

The property is beautiful and the early autumn leaves were the perfect ambiance. The cabin is cute and cozy, stocked with fresh treats from their farm. We really liked the honey and took home a big jar. There are many ways to cook at the cabin: you have an indoor coleman stove, a bbq and a fire pit, there is also a communal cooking hut which we had a great time using. There are trails right nearby, but I will say the maps are confusing. During our stay twice in one day 2 families became lost and wondered onto the domain haha. However, they each commented on how cool the cabin was. Victor and his family are excellent hosts that make you feel so welcomed and taken care of. Overall we would definitely recommend Anastasia's Domain.

Victor’s property was beautiful and well maintained. The cabins were all very clean and had a wonderful energy. We had a an unforgettable experience and we were never looking for things to do. Victor has fun activities and adventures to accommodate any kind of guest. We enjoyed the electric bikes for the day and had a fabulous tour through Alexandria.

Little Paradis on a Farm

Me and my two kids had a great time. The cottage was so thoughtfully put together and the goodies of wine, eggs and fresh grown tomatoes that were provided were so appreciated. We enjoyed the sunflowers, the swimming paradise, the ebikes, big bonfire, the cookhouse for dinner and our serene little tiny cabin and own firepit. We are glad we stumbled upon this gem of a property and were even lucky enough to meet little Miss Anastasia. Victor and his wife were welcoming and always available to answer questions about the property. Thanks for the fun time.

I just stayed at one of Victor's cabins on one of my first solo cabin trips with two very young children. He and his family were very kind and took good care of us. The cabin was immaculate and very well kept and I really appreciated the cookhouse so I was able to have a fire to cook over and do fun things like smores and campfire pizza without the safety issues of trying cook while trying to keep two little boys safe around an open fire by myself. The little guys also really enjoyed the beach and seeing all of the animals on the property. We would definitely stay again and I feel grateful that my lite guys had such a postive first cabin experience like this!

Amazing, Romantic Getaway

Wow! What a romantic experience! The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful and everything is so well maintained. Victor was so accommodating to our schedule and he was very helpful with getting things set up. We throughouly enjoyed the delicious farm fresh eggs and beautiful biking trails. I was so impressed with how many tools and supplied were provided to us. The atmosphere was amazing and we will definitely be coming back!

Victor's tiny cabin in the woods was the perfect escape for a few days. Everything was well organized and comfortable. We went during a cold period in February but with the wood stove combined with a space heater were quite cozy. The surrounding woods were lovely and there was a trail head only minutes away which we took advantage of. Victor was welcoming and very available during our stay. Would definitely stay again some time. Thank you!

Absolutely loved this beautiful experience that we had in the cabin. The place is so magical and romantic that my fiancé proposed to me there and we spent the night with our friends in the cozy cookhouse drinking wine and grilling steaks. We also got to see the animals and get educated about keeping rabbits and chickens. We will be coming back here for every season!! Amazing and friendly host!!!
