Our site is within 3 minutes of paddling the Big Creek, 3 to 10 minutes to several A+ hiking trails, 15 minutes to amazing freshwater beaches of Long Point and Turkey Point, and the area is abound with cycling trails, motorcycle routes, geocaching, boat launches (we have room here for your boat!), cider/wine tours, and more! We are the perfect basecamp for everything the Long Point Bay area has to offer We have some great watering holes nearby like burning kiln winery, hounds of Erie and Charlotteville brewing company. Birders Paradise! The ‘Long Point Birding Area’ in Norfolk County is one of Canada’s premier birding locales. This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Come stay next to the beach! This beautiful rustic cabin sits on a treed lot with privacy. Extra bunkie available upon request. The cabin includes a double Murphy bed, we supply all bedding. A Cot is available for a third person. The cabin is air-conditioned, has a small sitting area, fridge, Keurig coffee machine, and heater for the cooler nights in the fall. Firewood available. Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound. We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land. There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails. Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps. It is a marsh, not a lake. Google Earth shows it better. There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :) This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave. There is no water or power, but there is an outhouse Please note that in the winter months. There’s a $25 surcharge. This is required for snow removal to access the sites that are at at least 1 km into the bush. We are in a snow belt area and it is very difficult to keep the sites open in the winter. Four-wheel-drive is required for access in the winter!

There are four acres of woods to explore right beside Townsend Lake, a small, quiet lake perfect for canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The lake warms up quickly in the spring and is great to swim in. There is a cabin that sleeps three and a bunkie that sleeps two. A $20 discount will be provided if both are booked by one family. Many camping items are provided, like a Coleman stove, tables, dishes, and a screen shelter. There is also a levelled off tent site with a private fire pit. You will have access to the dock and a large fire pit area which are part of the owner’s cottage on the property. There will be a port-a-potty on site. Lake Townsend is close to several conservation areas and 12 minutes to the quaint town of Markdale with several shops, a bakery, and a large grocery store. The city of Owen Sound is 35 minutes away. Harrison Park and Inglis Falls are huge attractions in the area. Each area has its own beauty and the hiking path between the two is quite spectacular. Parts of the famous hiking trail, The Bruce Trail, are also easily accessible from Townsend Lake. But once you get settled in, you may just want to rest and relax at the lake! Weekend Trip to Cabin close to Lake Erie and trails

Had an amazing stay here! Gisele and Vic provided us with their kindness and hospitality and gave us space to explore the space and town. There’s ton to do here: biking along the trail, kayaking (if weather permits), and enjoying a sunny afternoon at Nickel Beach. We’d definitely recommend this place for anybody who wants to escape the city and experience the peace and quiet. Also, if you’re into vintage shopping, check out Willows End Salvage. We had a great stay at this cabin! The lake is beautiful, the surroundings are peaceful, and the cabin was clean and comfortable. The host was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

I loved the plane crash site with the cabin. The cabin was cozy with seating and beds, even a loft. It was warm enough out that I didn't need to use the stove to keep it warm. It was pouring rain when I went so it was great to keep dry. Very secluded and private, no noise from other people or traffic! I did not have cell service however, that could be because of my provider though.

I loved this cabin by the river, it is exactly what I was looking for, beautiful clean surroundings with well maintained property and place where we can bbq is peace. Great place to spend some time with your family and also the owner of the property is very helpful and responsive. Overall great experience.

We had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a unique and great getaway. The property itself was beautiful. Rick was an excellent host even took us on a side-by-side tour around the property was unexpected and really fun. We would absolutely stay here again!

A great place to relax in nature! The spa and sauna have a beautiful view of the trees, and the bonfire pit was perfect for cooking. They also have basic BBQ gear. Highly recommend if you want some quality downtime in the woods!

Weekend Trip to Willow Pond Haven

We had an amazing long weekend here and truly enjoyed every moment. The place was very clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. Everything was neat and well thought out, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The washroom was spotless, water was provided, and the hosts even arranged electricity for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The whole atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The cabin smelled wonderfully of fresh wood, and it was so nice to fall asleep while listening to the rain. We used the grill, enjoyed the clean and well-kept property, and spent our mornings drinking coffee by the pond. Our dog had the best time running around, swimming in the small pond, and watching the frogs 🐸 she was very curious and really wanted to play with them! There were also chickens on the property, and we were happy to buy fresh eggs to take home with us. A big thanks to Lisa and Scott for their hospitality. They were very kind, welcoming, and responsive to any request we had. We truly felt welcomed and comfortable during our stay. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely come back. It was a wonderful place for a peaceful getaway and an unforgettable weekend. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We had such a wonderful stay here! The camping accommodation was clean, cozy, and very well maintained. The surroundings were peaceful and beautiful, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The hosts (Joan, Onyx and Sid) were friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was comfortable for us. We especially loved the quiet atmosphere and how well organized everything was. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing camping getaway.

We stayed at the bunkie by Strawberry Fields and it is probably the best site out of all the Pine the Sky. It is very secluded, private and shady. Our dogs were able to run around freely without having to worry about the other people on the other sites. Keep in mind though that the bunkie is powered by generator so you have to ask the host if you want to use it. There were mosquitoes but not too bad once you get the fire started. Our host, Joan, was also wonderful and very accommodating during our stay. Too bad, we didn't get to see her dog.

Absolutely amazing stay — everything exceeded expectations. The campsite was incredibly peaceful and well-maintained, with a beautiful lake that made the whole experience feel relaxing and unforgettable. The activities were fun and there was always something to enjoy, while the firewood provided made evenings by the campfire extra cozy. The host was welcoming, helpful, and made sure everything was complete for a comfortable stay. The area itself is quiet, scenic, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind in nature. One of the best camping experiences we’ve had so far. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to others looking for a peaceful getaway!

We had a fantastic experience at Margaret’s place! She was an incredibly flexible and accommodating host, which we truly appreciated. Despite some chilly weather, we stayed busy with all the great activities provided. We loved the kayaks for sunset views, enjoyed the bonfire, and made full use of the bikes and fishing rods available on-site. Margaret really goes above and beyond to provide everything you need for a great stay. We’re already looking forward to returning next month!

Rick's plane crash site was just what we needed! All 4 kids ranged from 4 to 13 LOVED the plane. Nights were chilly outside but not as we slept thanks to Rick's wood stove inside!

Joan was a great host! She was super flexible and accomodating when our cold spring camp turned into a cozy bunkie stay. Beautiful property and lots of great hikes to do in the area. Even took the canoe out for an early morning paddle! Would recommend to anyone
